Lukas bit his lip. "If I remember correctly, I made you," he said, pressing his lips gently to hers before he broke free of her hold and led her out of the house----- he couldn't stand being in that dark place anymore, to see the blood splatters from so long ago. I wish that I were human, or she an angel fallen, so that we may spend our lives together, never forced to part again----but a wish is but a wish, certainly it can't come true. He thought, more prayed, watching the clouds in the sky move sluggishly by.

"Well, I dont remember it that way." She said quietly. She followed him out the door. "Are we going back to the school?" It seemed like a century ago since she had arrived at the school.

"I don't know, do you want to?" Luka asked, tilting his head with a small smile. "We can go anywhere in the world----well maybe not anywhere, because I don't have that much fuel, and you'd probably drown...."

Lukas grinned. "No one ever said we'd have to go to class,---- we could easily have fun there, you know." He took her hands. "Besides, I've got something of yours that I'd like you to take back, if you wouldn't mind-----I've been holding onto it for about 200 years now, you know."

Ariane grinned, "Really? Lets go!" She grabbed his arm, and pulled him toward the bike.

"How did I know that would work?" Lukas said, with a grin. He handed her the helmet and got on the bike.

Ariane put the helmet on, and held on to him tight. "Lets go, Luka! We dont have all day!" She smiled.

"What are you talking about? Of course we do!" Luka said, and then started up the motorcycle, taking off towards the way they'd come earlier. He pulled into his parking spot, turned off the bike and shuddered. Lukas looked around, feeling watched. He glanced up into the window of one of the dorms, seeing the alleged Dorm Mother glaring down at him. He sighed. "Looks like I'm getting my a** kicked tonight," he said.

Ariane looked up at the window, "And it looks like I'm not getting a good firs impression." She hopped off the bike, and handed him his helmet.

"She's mad at me, she thinks I'm competition," Luka said, grinning awkwardly. "I'm sure she won't take it out on you, she probably would just ignore the two of us for a couple weeks...." He grinned, taking her hand and doing a half skip onto the sidewalk.

"It's thanksgiving break in a few days, everyone with a home to go to went home already for the week," Luka explained, leading her into the dorm building, and up to the elevator.

Ariane frowned, what a great time for her parents to dump her here. "I guess I wont be leaving. My parents are probably partying in Vegas or something."

He glanced at her, pouting. "You'd leave me here all by myself?" Luka grinned, opening his dorm and gesturing for her to wait there, as he slid into the dark room and grabbed the box off his desk. He came back out of the room, slipping it into her hand without letting her see it. "I trust you'll still agree, am I right?" He said, closing his door behind him and waiting for her to realize that it was the same ring from nearly 200 years ago.
