Ron smiled over at him then frowned when he began coughing. "How did you even get sick? Was it cold last night or something? I know I was really warm..," he asked softly, looking at the blond with worry. "You're really warm..," he added, blushing lightly. "I really wish I could lay over there with you again..," he said sadly with a sigh following his words. He curled up into himself.

"I don't care if I get sick, but Pomfrey 'll kick both of us out if I go over there...which really bloody sucks..." He sighed softly. "I wonder if Harry and Hermione are wondering where I went. I just kinda disappeared after potions and didn't say anything to either one of them. I actually got my potion done today without blowing anything up or desintegrating the cauldron. Kinda amazing, actually. Never done that before. It was probably because I sat in there and read during breakfast, though. I didn't really feel like eating this morning. Too much on my mind..." He looked over at Draco, eyes gazing into the usually-cold ones.

Ron frowned slightly. "But..," he began to protest before noting the look on Draco's face. He huffed, standing up and crossing his arms across his chest. "Fine, but if I come back and you're hurt worse, I'm gonna be mad," he grumbled lowly, eyes in a hardened glare towards the floor. He stalked out of the room, glancing back at him briefly once he reached the door before leaving in another huff, closing the door behind him.

He carried on his way searching for his friends. They were probably eating lunch by now... He sighed softly and slumped his shoulders, trudging lazily through the halls.

When he reached the Great Hall, he pulled open the door and immediately spotted Harry and Hermione seated at the Gryffindor table talking to each other. He walked up to them and plopped down beside Harry with another sigh. "Hey, guys," he greeted in a mumble.

"I'm fine," Ron told them quickly and defensively. He then took a deep breath and sighed once he heard what he sounded like. "I'm fine... I just remembered that my stuff's still in Draco's room--my books, my clothes, my wand--and I had to go to the hospital wing to let him know before I forgot is all. Sorry if I freaked you out. I've just...I dunno... I've just been thinking alot, too... There's a lot of stuff on my mind..."

Ron shook his head, not really even holding Harry's hand. He just let Harry hold his limp one. "No, I don't realy feel like talking about it. I mean, it's not that big of a deal, but I don't wanna talk about it. I dunno how you guys would react, and me and Draco already talked it out anyway...well...he talked mostly..."

"H-Harry, wait! No, I... Damnit..." He slammed his head down on the table repeatedly as hard as he could. "This...isn't...fair...He...didn't...let...me...explain...damnit!" He punched the table, making everything around him rattle before he stood up and stormed out of the great hall, heading outside. He went straight for the lake, sitting by the water's edge. He pulled one of his knees up and rested his arm on it, staring out at the water. Why had everything suddenly come tumbling down on top of him? Damn... "It isn't fair," he mumbled, falling backwards until his back hit the grass. He laid there with one knees up and his arms spread, staring up at the sky. Maybe he could just lay there and disappear and no one would know. Then everything would be right. Then nothing would be complicated. He'd simply just be gone.

"Y-You don't get it, though, Herms..," Ron said quietly, looking over at her. He knew she would follow. She never let situations be. "I...I got to talk to Draco and really know him...and he's really, really sweet... I like him...a lot. Like, a lot a lot... I dunno... Everything's so complicated... Me and Harry never clarified what we were to each other, and I like Draco, but Draco refuses to do anything with me because his family and the fact that he knows how much Harry likes me... I wish I could just drop off the face of the Earth. Then I wouldn't have to worry about this, and neither would they..."

"That's my problem, though, Herms..," Ron said sadly, sitting up and pulling his knees to his chest. "I don't know who I like more... I mean... I know it would be easier to be with Harry because I know how much he likes me, and Draco's dad would torture him if he found out Draco even communicated with me other than insults... But I dunno if that's what's making me like Harry more or not... Because I know the harder you work for something, the better it'll be. But I don't know if Draco would want to work for it, too... I just don't know..." His voice trailed off as he gazed over the water. Tears brimmed in his eyes. "And I can't even explain to you how much it hurts to try and choose... In the end, I know I'll probably end up with Harry, but...I don't know... I just...God, why did McGonnagle have to put me and Draco together like that? This would have never happened..."
