Auriel watched all the hubbub from a distance, rushing over once it became clear that Fable had the dragon under her control. She went first to Marcus and quickly checked him to make sure he was not hurt at all. "You fought well brother, shame we were kept from killing it though." Auriel said with a frown. She clapped her brother on her back and moved over to Abigail, checking over her as well. "A well placed shot through the Body Collector, sister. Guess we're done shooting cans out of the air, huh?" Auriel smiled brightly at her sibling before hearing Fable tell them they did a good job. The nephilim almost allowed an annoyed expression pass over her face. Of course they had done a good job, and they would have done it better had Fable not hindered their hunt. "How many dragons do you need?" Auriel said under her breath as she huffed it back to the siren. "Novicves. Though we're completely ready for a rank up. Unfortunately some higher power has deemed us 'greenhorns', so we must hit the grindstone and kill more NPCs to qualify for this power up." Auriel said before taking flight, using the remainder of her time for wings to get back home swiftly. [exit]

When the dragon was suddenly knocked off of him, Marcus loosened his tensed muscles and fluttered all of his wings in irritation. It was taking every single bit of self restraint not to just go kill the damn dragon, but with Abigail around, he found slightly easier to resist. He brushed himself off, not bothering to watch the Siren's interaction with the other lower life form. Instead he collected himself while Auriel checked him for injury. The man had few words that weren't inappropriate to say at the moment, so he simply closed his mouth tight and took off, ignoring the Siren's question entirely and allowing for Auriel to speak instead.
You Know What They Say About Guys With Big Ears...
"How could you be so heartless...How could you be so heartleeeee-" Gabe cleared his throat after breaking the note without mercy. His latest job had been given to him by a friend back in Pronta. The Orcs were apparently settling themselves in the mountains. It wasn't Gabes job to drive them out necessarily he didn't have the power for that, but he could send them a message. Lately there had been news of Orc Axemen terrorizing people that were just minding their own business. It was Gabe's job to find the little mischief makers and kill them. The friend that gave Gabe the mission told the Waktu to use his own imagination as to how to use the bodies. Gabe accepted the job in a heart beat. He despised Orcs just as much as Goblins. It wasn't a very logical hate it was just the fact that they rubbed him the wrong way and now they thought that they had the right to move into the mountain forests? "I'll give them more than a ********' message." Gabe said to himself as he followed the stream. Gabe had in his possession a scroll with what seemed to be an entire encycolpedia about Orcs. Gabe's friend warned him that if he met with an Orc Fighter he should not engage against it. No matter how awesome it sounded. Gabe replied with a, "of course man!" even though the friend was sure Gabe would fight the Orc Fighter to prove he was better. In the scroll there was information about an Orc Gian, but there probably wouldn't be any in his quest for Axemen. From what his friend said they had just barely settled in the mountains.
The Orc Axemen liked attacking those that rested to take a drink from the stream. This was what Gabe assumed since the people who say they were and tell what happened all start off they same. They were tired and decided to get a sip of the natural stream water. Then out of nowhere two goofy looking Orcs run towards them waving their axes around. It was time for Gabe to bust out his unrivaled acting skills. "Ooooooooh deary meeee!!!" He announced placing the front of his hand on his forehead as if about to faint. Gabe always had a flare for the dramatic. "This sun is going to be the end of me! Luckily for this poor rabbit I have a stream of delicious water right here! Now I'm gonna just lower my guard and my back to bend over and drink some water..." Just as Gabe turned around his ears twitched. The Axemen didn't wait at all to strike. Gabe couldn't contain his excitement as water flowed out of his mouth and back into the stream.
Gabe turned out with the look of madness in his face. "Hey boooooyz!" He shouted as he advanced towards them. They tried to swing at him, but they were too slow for him. He was basically mocking them with each dodge of a swing, watching them become frustrated and irritated at their own weakness. "Y'know. This is fun and all, but I don't have time to spend with you two baboons." With that said, Gabe sent a jab pierced their bodies with both his fists. Their axes dropped as the life in them vanished. "Now, where did you guys come from?" He asked placing his hands on his hips while looking at their bodies. He eventually found the Orc camp and stuck their heads on a long sharp stick for the whole place to see. "Well, i'm out." He said wiping his hands together before leaving the mountain.

Percita Kiranu Berserker - Novice Citizen Strength: 8 / Speed: 9 Energy: 175/550 Skills used: Fire Bomb, V-Spin, Cat Scratch Fever, Passing Goodbye, Overhand Crush, Claw Enhancement, Claw Extension, Titan's Fist, Burst Claw Percita enters the area that Kumori told her to go to. She has the net he gave her draped loosely over her shoulder. She begins walking around the stream, looking for the Mer that he had told her to find, and gets her claws ready. After a few minutes, she finds a large group of Mer. "Well, that must be the group that what's-his-name was talking about." She smiles and walks up to them. "Hello, there!" She waves. "Would you all mind putting your weapons with me? It would make things a lot easier?" She gives them a cheerful smile, which is responded to with all the Mer pointing their weapons at her. Percita's smile fades. "Alright...he only said I needed two of you." Fire appears in her fist, and punches one of the spears, creating a sizable explosion. While the area is engulfed from the smoke following the explosion, Percita drops to the ground and performs a V-Spin attack, knocking all the spears away from the Mer. She grabs one of the spears and hits two of the Mer over the head, then throws the net around them and tosses them aside. "Alright, I have what I need. Now, let's have a bit more fun with this?" She smiles broadly, and charges the group.
Fire is seen in Percita's eyes as she rushes into the group, swiping at the Mer in a frenzy. She quickly cuts down six of the Mer, each one with a single swipe across their stomach, which kills the Mer. During her frenzy, she passes by one of the Mer, and slams her foot into the side of his leg, shattering the bone. She looks at the few remaining and grins widely. "Your turn." She runs at the dwindling group and jumps into the air, clenching her hands together, and crushes the head of one of the Mer. She looks at the remaining, and spreads her arms out, making a display of extending her claws more, hardening them as well." She rushes the remaining group, cutting down all but one, who begins cowering away from her. "Oh, you're not running...I need to ask a favor of you." She begins walking menacingly towards him.
"W-what do you want? Please, just leave me alone!"
Percita chuckles. "No, you see..." She gets near him and lightly strokes his cheek, smiling softly. She suddenly punches him hard, sending him flying through a few trees. She jumps up and slams both feet into his arms, breaking them. "GROW YOUR TAIL! NOW!" He does so. "Good..." Her hands glow in a harsh white light, and she drives her hands into his chest. "I want a snack on the way back home. And I really like the taste of fish." She releases the energy, wish roasts the Mer from the inside, with him screaming in agony as he burns. Fire shoots out of all the holes in his body. When it's done, Percita removes her claws. She cuts his upper half from his lower, and carries the tail away, smiling happily. She throws anymore Mer that are still alive into the net, and carries them away, heading back to Kumori. Along the way, she snacks on her treat.((Exit))
Much of Yuran had not changed since the attack by Nocturne. The citizens fled. The militia scurried to join other armies before their pride was beyond the point of return. The siege of Yuran could barely be called a siege. After all, in order for it to be a siege, there must be some sort of resistance. But the nation's leaders were so intent on surviving that they didn't bother with fighting. Their surrender was expected, but Nocturne's forces continued to lay waste to the Aramillian province. Though Cassandra never complied to the foreign rulers, Yuran was her home. It only made sense that she was at a loss for words. Yuran was a haven for the holy and it was destroyed by darkness. She stopped asking why the angels failed to lend them aid. To her, they just didn't care. They were safe, and that was all that mattered to them. Though it didn't stop her from praying to Elessia, seeking the power to lay waist to the people who slaughtered innocents simply to display their power. "Why you ignore me is beyond my comprehension, Elessia. I know that ultimately, you have an endgame, and I don't expect you to tell me what it is... but I can't sit back anymore and allow the pain of Yuran to continue. The Doom of Yuran will be recorded in the history books. They will write of our lack of strength in defeating the enemies of which we have strength over. "
Though the city seemed great then, it's flaws were revealed to her. The inhabitants of the city allowed dark creatures to rule. Was this a purge of the wicked? A test of some sort to the faithful? Cassandra wished she could believe that. A chance to build something greater than Fraxen ever was. A holy kingdom where justice was placed above everything. "Whatever your test is, Elessia. I shall overcome it and you will see who your true champion is. "

It was strange for there to be such a calm, quaint location left in Yuran. Every night since the destruction Auriel could not even close her eyes without seeing all the death and destruction she had witnessed. Sleep had been hard to come by, every night plagued by nightmares and reliving the past. So much pain and agony. Coming to this stream had been the most comforting part of her week. It reminded her of easier days with her family. But instead of the joy she would have felt, it was an abyss. Hollow within her. There had been little time to think of it before, but Auriel did not ever believe she would have anything close to a family again. Even surrounding herself with Valkyries had not been enough. It could not imitate let alone replicate the true bonds of sisterhood. "I remember when we fought that dragon, the skeletal one. Father was watching then. Are you now?" The running water was all there was to hear her words. She felt nothing then, not the warmth that Samael brought nor the happiness that was once felt. Auriel let those feelings go and turned her head away from the picturesque scene. She took to walking for a bit, right until she noticed a golden-haired woman standing alone. Looking around it would be clear to see that they were the only living beings here. As she got closer Auriel picked out immediately that this was another valkyrie. Angling her head a bit to the side she tried to call to mind her name. While the halfling tried to remember she also found herself admiring the woman. Most valkyries were very beautiful actually. Hair of the richest colors, normally long and flowing. Eyes that struck fear into the hearts of enemies, adoration into others. This girl was different though, almost softer. Where Auriel's body had been turned into that of a warrior, her's was shapely. The daughter of Samael had a sinewy body, long and lithe legs with arms to match. This woman had thrice the grace Auriel had in any part of her. In angelic she called out to the lone child of heaven. "Hark! By sight I name you Valkyrie, though your name...I do not know. " That language was poetic and musical, so everything often sounded pretentious. Cassandra would recognize it as how every valkyrie spoke to one another. It was formal and eloquent, making common sound like the tongue of beasts. "Few of our kind venture this far out of the refugee camps, not since the darkin left their mark. " A momentary silence pervaded the space between them. It was still palpable, that negative energy left from the horde of demons Zacariah had sent. Less so at this stream, but noticeable if one was searching. The valkyrie stood side by side with her newfound companion before turning to face her. "I am Auriel, daughter of Samael." Maybe Cassandra knew of the angel, maybe she did not. Perhaps she had heard of the sisters and the darkness that befell their family. It was no secret that one of the daughters of Samael had turned traitor and abandoned the light. In fact it was a well shared story between the valkyrie, albeit in hushed tones and never in front of Auriel.

Cassandra was a woman of little hope. There was no need of it. Hope was a tool used for the controlling of the pawns. No, from the distant mountains of the destroyed city to the isolated lands of Anima Valley... there wasn't a glimmer of hope in sight. To the Valkyrie, that wasn't anything to lament. Hope provided nothing in terms of power or strength. It didn't give the people of Yuran a chance to rise as underdogs in the face of destruction and death. Their screams of agony during their last moments shattered any image of hope that Cassandra had. They weren't just killed. Their bodies were flayed, raped... ripped to pieces. The amount of pain inflicted that day was beyond what Cassandra could help with, so she stayed out of it all. At first, guilt haunted her dreams every night that passed sine the Doom of Yuran. Eventually, they became so vivid an real that her vision of the world changed to the one in her dreams.
The Doom forced Cassandra to search for her mother, a cleric of great renown. By the time Cassandra reached her, the woman had been raped over 4 times by the invading soldiers. Though she lives now, she exists as a shell of her former self. Stuck in a state of catatonia, incapable of even voicing her opinions. Unable to stay by her mother, Cassandra left some time ago. She was weak, never battle hardened because it never seemed necessary. When the time came, she couldn't handle it."Weak... just like back then. The prayers of the weak are never heard."
Oblivious to the fact that someone was nearby, Cassandra knelt by the stream. Prior to the Doom of Yuran, she once cared for her dresses being soiled by stains of mud or grass. There was always a certain serenity to the lifestyle she lived. People did things for her. They marveled at her beauty and her ability as a seamstress. The dresses she wore were marvels, heavenly designs in their own right.
She no longer cared.
Startled by the new voice, Cassandra head whipped to find the source of the voice. Her golden hair bounced with every curl. Before she could even get a good look at the woman, she already knew she was a Valkyrie. Just like her. Standing up, Cassandra looked curiously upon the Valkyrie. The woman was battle hardened... and gorgeous. That was to be expected, like with any other Valkyrie. Auriel. The name sounded familiar, undoubtedly a former soldier of this nation. Like Cassandra, she stayed here. Clinging to some part of nation just as she was doing. Before she knew it, she had lost herself in thought and Auriel had already closed the distance between them. The woman towered above her, and yet there was no sense of hostility between them. Gazing up at Auriel, Cassandra felt somewhat awestruck. It was one thing to look at a Valkyrie from a distance, but up close... it never got old. Getting back onto her feet, she finally gazed into Auriel's brilliant golden eyes. "Even fewer are the amount of Valkyries still protecting this land. Many fled to Kusana, and the few who stayed in for the camps don't go wandering about. Tell me... Auriel... why do you venture out so far? Apologies. Perhaps I'm being too direct. My name is Cassandra Venarius, daughter of Uriel."

Auriel's jawline hardened at the question, her eyes did not. There was only a single valkyrie in existence that she did not get along with, mostly because that person in question was actually a diabolos. She registered the name in her head; Cassandra daughter of Uriel. For a brief moment she was brought back to her childhood, where she sat in a circle with her sisters and listened to their father regale them with tales of the greatest and most terrible war of Angels and Demons. That name had come up before in tales. Uriel had been an angel who almost single-handedly cleansed an entire city of darkness on his own. Bringing herself back to reality and realizing that her bout of silence would let on that perhaps she was ashamed of the reason, Auriel decided to clear the air. "The cities may have been razed, the people slain. Yet this is still my home. So it shall be until the very last breath is forced from my lungs." Maybe it was a valkyrie thing, the theatrics and drama. Her words rang with a sense of finality. Nothing would change that view and that much was clear. Even if Auriel was the last shield standing between the rest of the world and Nocturne she would gladly lay down her life for them. From her higher stand point she drank in Cassandra's appearance. While there were no fineries to distinguish her position, there were also no battle regalia or even scars. Auriel was marked. Be it the haunted look in her eyes or the literal marks that dotted her body. A spear thrust to the ribs hidden by her armor, the gash of a longsword across her thigh appearing just between her boots and plated skirt. There was a time when Auriel polished her armor and weapons daily. Now they were dented, rusted, marred by time and trial. Finally noticing how shoddy she must look, the girl gave a weak chuckle. "In this tentative state of the world we exist in, at least one thing is sure. We have seen better days." In those better days Auriel would have added: "and we shall see them again."

Upon hearing the name Uriel, Auriel seemed almost conflicted. The Valkyrie's initial silence proved that. Her father wasn't as philanthropic to mankind as Samael, but Cassandra took pride in her father's actions. Uriel acted upn his orders, purging evil from this world."I know the look very well, Auriel. My father was no saint. He was an Angel. A warrior who, to many, placed great shame upon himself to finish a mission given to him by Elessia herself. I don't believe in evil or good, Auriel. But I do believe that there are creatures in this world who seek to harm others. Murderers, thieves... rapists." Simply saying the word seemed enough to bother her. "Perhaps if he was here, he would have intervened. Stopped the attack. My father loved mankind. But he was also aware of what they could do." Breaking their gaze, Cassandra turned to look down at the stream once more. As the water trickled past her, she let her hands fall to her side. Perhaps the heavy talk was too much for their first meeting. The times were dark, and yet the two of them served as the light during these dark times. "You are a warrior, no? I've heard the tales. I must say that the words don't do you any justice Lady Auriel. I myself have only seen battle twice, and the creatures in question were ranked so low on the codex that I could hardly call them monsters." Cassandra's skin seemed almost flawless, glowing almost. There was a radiance about her that seemed too bright to have such a dark look on things. "Your scars... do you consider them to be your battle trophies?"Cassandra lightly giggled at her last words. She could only imagine one boasting about their scars. 'This one I gained fighting the mighty Techno Queen. The other I gained while taking down fifty charlies all at once.' The girl hid her smile, though. In truth, it had been some time since a smile broke her recently stoic face. "I'm afraid to tell you that I've never been much of a warrior. I like to think that I can hold my own in a fight, but I get so clumsy holding blades. Even clumsier trying to swing them."

Auriel closed her eyes for a moment and sighed. There was a version of her who she would have argued fervently against the actions of Uriel. Now she thought him impressive. Mankind, demon-kind, angel-kin; none of those names mattered. Zacariah once called himself a heavenly host and look where he was now, mounting innocents by the hundreds in towering pyres of the dead. Evil could find its way in to the heart of anyone and anything. Those who dedicated themselves to fighting against it had to accept it. Just as Auriel had. She took Cassandra's hand and squeezed it lightly. "Any of the angels could have come to our aid. Even...even my father did not show his face. There will always be times when our hands need to be dirtied, be it with blood or terrible actions." She released the girl's hands and crossed her arms over her chest, staring out to the sun that was lowering every so slightly in the sky.Talks between their kind could be intense and it appeared that her companion had realized it as well. The mood eased and the conversation shifted. Being called a lady made Auriel smile. She had never been one to prance about in fine silks and cloths, spending hours brushing out her hair and admiring her reflection in a mirror. "I am no lady, at least not in that sense. Besides, every battle is worthy in its own rite. My first victory was against a mushroom that was sentient. Looking at it now it feels insignificant, since I have killed...many. At the time though it made me feel powerful." A blush crept over the girl's face, though for she could not say why she was actually embarrassed. She had spent so much of her time focusing on how to heal, defend, and protect that there was little time for pleasantries. There was once a boy, more of a man, who loved her. Castyfe had been her childhood friend of which her sister's did not approve. He was a pagan stuck in his teenage years, free of responsibility and lacking a moral compass. Even valkyries went through their rebellious phase. Then there had been a reaper who saw Auriel and grew infatuated. She wanted to give the young girl everything and take her away from the things she loved. That was not something a daughter of Samael could accept. Her family, the battle that never ends; these were things Auriel lived for. Infatuation and lust were not apart of the deal. Cassandra pointing out her scars had Auriel faintly smiling and shaking her head. "Trophies? I may be a valkyrie but I am not that vain. There were those who had greater problems. Oh, wait." There was one scar she had willingly kept throughout the years. Practiced fingers reached over her shoulder and made short work of her chestplate. Repeating the process for the other side she let her armor fall from her shoulders. She lowered it carefully to the floor and pulled down her s**t by the collar of her neck. Her fingers brushing over the mark made nostalgia hit her. "My...sister and I used to wrestle all the time. She was pigheaded and a brute while I was...well she called me a flower-child. Most of the time she won by some underhanded trick or another. The day I got this mark was the first day I won." Auriel released her color and looked up to Cassandra with a surprised look on her face. That story had not been shared with anyone in many years. She felt comfortable around the cleric for some reason. Maybe it was because this valkyrie was very different from the rest of her kind.

When Auriel took a hold of Cassandra's hand, oddly enough, Cassandra did not flinch from surprise. Her hand was warm to the touch, and she welcomed the gesture. When their hands met, almost immediately, Cassandra was overwhelmed by a feeling of comfort. A level of comfort she hadn't felt in ages, if at all. At the time, it didn't seem like words were necessary to tell Auriel what she wanted to say. As much as Cassandra liked to speak and act as emotionally hardened as she did, Auriel's touch melted that wall down like butter. The touch was reassuring, but went much further than some sort of 'it'll be okay' sort of thing. Auriel's gentle squeezing of her hand brought Cassandra's gaze back into her golden eyes. Cassandra's face was softer than before, softer even then even before Yuran was destroyed. Shortly after that, the feeling left when Auriel let go of her hand, though it hadn't completely gone away; a deep red blush still lingered. Cassandra was still breathless, it took her a few seconds to regain her composure before she could speak again. "I was a Cleric back then, I served as a healer... but more of a specialist. People came to me for cases that other Cleric's deemed to severe. I am not a stranger to blood, nor to getting my hands dirty. But when everything happened... I couldn't stand to see it all. I've never seen war happen like it did back then. Perhaps the only one who could have stayed to heal on the field... she left. I left. I let my friends die. A lot of good people died back then because of me. Just by standing around, I can heal everyone around me. But I broke..." She didn't know why she suddenly became so trusting of Auriel. She hadn't even voiced that out before. Cassandra would always tell herself that if she were there, she might have died. That was untrue. Yet, nevertheless, Auriel continued to comfort her, making her eel at ease about her lack of experience in combat by telling her about her first mission. Auriel's honesty brought back Cassandra's radiant smile, this time even allowing Auriel to finally see it. Feeling generous, Auriel continued to share. When she began to remove her chestplate, Cassandra admittedly almost panicked, thinking Auriel was planning on oversharing, using her body. However, when Auriel peeled down the tight tunic that she wore under her armor just enough to reveal a nasty mark, instinctively, Cassandra slowly placed her finger on the scar, tracing it. "I can't believe you got this play fighting with your sister, you must all be strong. I bet that's not even option to not be a warrior with your lineage. Though it's hard to imagine you as the flower child. You're extremely attr-... intimidating."

Auriel looked at Cassandra with compassion and not with a single ounce of judgment. Their kind were born and bred for war and fighting, but that did not make it any easier. When her spear sank in to the flesh of her enemies it was not a satisfying feeling. It was grim and horrible but she knew it to be necessary. It was not about glory like how it was for some of her kind, her father had taught her differently. That had been the reason she started out as a cleric, not a warrior. Taking the life of a living creature had been difficult for her, even the dark ones. Now it was bearable. She shook her head once more, this time in refusal of what her companion said about herself."It is not an easy fight. I do not go out in to a battle with a smile on my face, and I never return with one. I...used to be a cleric. My sisters and I were never apart and we worked well together. It is different now, I had to change and learn to stand on my own, though I know it is not for everyone. Maybe all you need is someone to share the burden with" It had been a subconscious thing to propose that, really. In the days of old Valkyrie were known to bond with a single one of their kind, a lifelong partner whom always fought by the side of their friend. It was an old practice, for in these days many valkyrie died daily in wars. Having that bond broken by death made it hard to recover. The sense of sisterhood that Auriel had with her siblings was similar to that and the hollowed out hole in her heart was proof of what kind of damage that could do to a person. Those thoughts dissipated when the blue eyed beauty before her reached out to touch her. It was not sensual or romantic, but it felt intimate. Lips slightly parted, Auriel watched Cassandra's face as she traced the scar and spoke. Golden eyes would lock with the healer's, an enigmatic feel to that look. There was a strange feeling pervading her thoughts and clouding her judgment, making decisions at this time would not be in the best interest of either of them. Still, Auriel felt alive. Something in her wanted to laugh heartily and share warm smiles with this woman, perhaps even get the chance to blush a bit more. Wanting to not let this moment go to waste the halfling turned her head to the stream and said the first thing that came to mind. "Would you help me...clean my armor?" Lame. Auriel mentally slapped herself and before she could decide it was better to run away she bent down and picked up her chest plate that she had discarded earlier. The valkyrie quickly turned her face to hide the red of her cheeks and she walked down to the stream. Folding her long legs underneath her, Auriel set to work with a random rag that was conveniently in her pocket. "You lived here in Pronta, no? Tell me, what was life like before it became what it is now?" She would turn and look at Cassandra, an inquisitive look upon her face.

The Valkyrie before her was a curious one. Many Valkyries she had met before seemed awfully haughty, so much that they often dismissed her because of her profession. A Cleric is not the profession a Valkyrie should have. Valkyries were strong and they needed to maintain that image of power. It was all something she never understood. The only one who ever approved of her profession was her mother. It was her who convinced Cassandra that her talents would not be wasted if she enlisted. Almost immediately, they singled her out, along with a few others, as elite. As such, she ascended the ranks, easily displaying her power to all who wanted to see it. Eventually those Valkyries who she left behind to eat her dust continued to look at her with looks of disdain. That was her life in Pronta. It wasn't perfect, but people needed her and she was happy to assist. Though perhaps she was best suited somewhere else. If she had chosen to become a Paladin, she could stand before Auriel as an equal. "My life in Pronta wasn't the easiest. Much like you, I was singled out as elite among our ranks, but my gifts made me a glorified doctor, nothing particularly useful in war. But it was at least calm. I did my work and I went home everyday. They didn't send me on missions, unless I needed to provide on site care to the wounded soldiers." She had to admit, the spark she felt between them scared her. This had happened once before, with a boy named Aureus, ironically enough. The two had met on her first mission, and during her first fight, he handed her the first bow she had ever owned, a bladed short bow. When they returned, the bond between them had been established, however Aureus had been hurt on a mission he had been sent alone on. By the time he got back, they was nothing Cassandra could do. The boy was removed from active service, and continued to live in Cassandra's care. He never saw battle again, and he officially severed the bond between them when he died during the Doom of Yuran. There was pain that came attached to the bond, and Auriel also knew that. It was why she turned from Cassandra. "I know all too well of the pain that comes with having a parabatai, Auriel. I have faced my own griefs and I can honestly tell you that I faced nothing more painful than when I lost Aureus. I have a burden that breaks me down every night before I fall asleep. I can't remember the last time that I haven't cried myself to sleep. I haven't had a single moment of comfort since the fall of our nation until now." Yet, the girl continued to walk to the stream, facing away from Cassandra. She couldn't tell where this was going, but it was too far gone to return. When Auriel turned her gaze back to Cassandra, she immediate opened her mouth again to speak. "Perhaps I am too weak to carry this burden alone. I would like nothing more in the world than to have what I once had before, but what I lack in physical strength, I must now make up for in emotional strength. I lost my parabatai. I will never know the feeling again."

Auriel was hardly paying attention to what she was doing. Her hand worked in small circles, overlapping the same spaces again and again. The ministrations from the valkyrie were hardly doing a thing, her breastplate was long down the road of needing to be replaced. Yet her arms still pushed down and around against the armor as Auriel gave her attention to Cassandra. She watched her as she talked, following the tilt of her lips when words lifted them in speech. Golden eyes traced a path to blue ones and drank in their emotion when the halfling spoke of painful memories. Perhaps it was the link all valkyrie shared with one another. Each individual knew the plight of loss, the agony that could not be healed when such a bond was severed. Both of Auriel's parabotai had, in a sense, died. Abigail was no amongst the living. Her recent death still left a scar deeper than the darkest abyss in her sister's heart. No longer was Aurelia family, and for the what seemed like the first time in history two parabotai split apart, though not from death. Another angel had fallen just as Zacariah before her; and her sin was wanting freedom. That knowledge kept her up at night. Til the sun peaked over the mountains Auriel lay in bed with the realization that her sister had never felt truly at home. So she left in the worst way possible. It honestly had felt that someone close to her had died. After grieving for what felt like eons she took what had happened as a lesson. "Our kind are old in their ways. They are stuck in traditions as old as time itself. My sister taught me, in a way, that living your life by the standard of one another will only leave you sadness. There is no room for happiness and joy when you are constantly striving to fit in the form of anything other than yourself. You are perfect the way you are as far as my eyes can see." The words had come from the heart, but maybe Auriel had revealed too much. Realizing what she admitted had her afraid to look at Cassandra's reaction. How was it she could stand before a horde of undead with nothing but her shield and sword in hand but could not bare to see if her compliment had gone too far. So taking the coward's way out, Auriel glanced at the woman through the reflection on the armor. Hearing of this Aureus made her heart clench. It did not matter if she knew him or not, the disappearance of a friend was terrible. She wanted nothing more than to embrace Cassandra in her arms and share a silent moment for the fallen, instead she gave her an intense look. "I do not know if I will feel that same sense of camaraderie that my family gave me. I am not the same person I was before. Regardless I wish to fight by your side. If I cannot imitate or replicate the feeling you had once before, I hope I can at least make you smile along the way."

Perhaps she was right. It was her own mistake for trying to latch onto a life partner, especially while she was still young and nubile. However, to her, it wasn't just some foolish chase for love, nor was it just some way of dodging pain. Cassandra found it increasingly difficult, more so than ever, to handle her pain alone. There were few times she had to, and now being alone... she couldn't do it. 'Stuck in tradition' as Auriel said it; that's exactly what she was. "Is that what you believe? That spending your life with someone will cause you sadness?" Maybe Auriel was right about some things, but her time with her parabatai were some of the best experiences of her life. True, Aureus' disappearance brought its own level of grief, but Cassandra knew that happened for a reason. After all, there was someone right in front of her calling her perfect, even after seeing how conflicted she was with her own two eyes. As Auriel offered to travel with her, Cassandra's hardened gaze slowly broke down. Muscles in her face relaxed, muscles that hadn't had a chance to do so since the fire (demon) nation attacked. Slowly kneeling down next to Auriel, she turned her head to look straight into the Valkyrie's eyes. Placing her hand on Auriel's to stop her from working on a lost cause, Cassandra opened her pursed lips to speak again. "I would like that very much..."

Bruises and scraps won't even appear making it seem as if their skin is tougher than others. Trainees can deal with simple cuts. Novice can deal with simple cuts and first degree burns. Adept can deal with cuts, second degree burns, and fractured bones. Experts can deal with deep lacerations and broken bones. Masters can heal third degree burns, wounds such as stabs(only on surface, not internal damage), and crushed bones. E-Trainee, D-Novice, C-Adept, B-Expert, A-Master
• Wrath of a God Their weapons surge with their latent energy which makes any weapon they touch, especially their chosen one, both covered in holy light and electricity. This leads to anyone locking blades or striking the shield of a Valkyrie feel small shocks that ward people off from staying in contact with them for too long. This also makes unholy enemies take an extra rank of damage on top of the lightning damage. However for the lightning to be in effect you must have more than half your energy remaining within you.
• Child of Jarnbjorn When a Valkyrie choses a weapon to specialize in, that weapon becomes gifted by holy power and works much like Thor's Mjolnir and Jarnbjorn. It will nigh automatically come to the call of the Valkyrie, cannot be destroyed, and always has the extra lightning damage going on it regardless of energy level. When attacking with that weapon, they gain an extra +1/+1 to their stats. You get one of these, so choose carefully. This weapon should get its own custom abilities, and if it does it must be approved.
• Feast of Ambrosia Once per battle the Valkyrie can hold their hand out and summon a goblet full of ambrosia. Upon consumption, this otherwordly substance will heal and cure any wounds and debilitations the Valkyrie may be suffering. This will not regenerate any lost limbs or organs, but it will immediately close wounds. No energy is regained from this, it merely gives the Valkyrie a better chance to continue fighting.
• The Sight Being of God's blood, like God, they can see the world for what it truly is. They can see through ''the Mist" and see those for what they are. Instantly recognizing creatures of the night on spot or those who can use dark magic for they can read the aura's about them. Also giving them a general idea of how strong another is regardless of race. (Rank-wise, not as precise to be know the exact amount in the other energy pool.)
