The first yaoi i actually encountered wouldn't be considered yaoi...but slash since it was a harry potter fanfic, at first i was extreamly confused, only being 11-12 years old -_-', and i kept saying that this is so wrong but i couldn't exit...lol and now i'm a yaoi addict, and write essays against homophobia in english class...and daydream about different pairing, lol

Ok first true reaction for me was..... OOOOOOK. WTH? (I had read a weis keuis doujinshi. I have never actually read/seen it though) I then gave the doujinshi back to my friend. I later found pairings like Sasu/Naru and Shu/yuki. After my first experiance I then had to ease into it. I now love to read any kind of Yaoi. At first I wouldn't even look at anything close to hard core.

At first, i was reading loads of fanfic- guy on guy, girl on girl, and girl on guy- i just found guy on guy more interesting. then i found Gravitation in da library, had no idea it was a yaoi (or wot yaoi meant!!). then i started reading FAKE, n after dat, i went on buzznet.com n searched Gravitation episodes, and found a link 2 sum yaoi episodes... from then i was HOOKED!! 4laugh

I remember trying to look up some fanfiction and coming across one that had 1x2. Now I had no clue what the heck that meant and proceeded to read the fic. Luckily, it was one that Duo gradually fell in love with Heero and not just wild sex from the beginning. sweatdrop The story was well written, so I read to the end (when they did it). Needless to say, I was embarrassed. redface Once I gave myself some time to think about it, I realized I liked everything about it and went to find somemore. It has been a down hill slide ever since. Now I love it all! heart

My first encounter with yaoi was a Duo/Heero fanart where they are kissing under the misletoe. At the time I was talking on the phone with my friend and said it was gross. Little did I know at the time, my friend was gay and way into yaoi. sweatdrop Of course I didn't find out about this until way later after I matured and started reading yaoi on my own. twisted

The first time i saw a yaooi pic i didn't thimk much of it neutral ... but when it came to a doujish of naruto i went mad and was in denial and grossed out twisted .. i saw a couple more yaoi doujishin(not sure about spelling), i just started to like them then love them until it was my new addcition!...not right now but i really love yaoi ^___<......... heart heart heart

first yaoi i ever read was FAKE and when it got to the kissing in the end of the first chapter my jaw dropped sweatdrop then i read the back and was like ' oh so this is a yaoi that i've heard about ........... well ok it has a good plot' and it just kinda evolved from there and now i am one of the leading fan girls in my school xd 3nodding

First time I read Yaoi, I was like... oh. meh. Then I ran away screaming for a little bit, but it made me come back. It's addictive, dammit! I blame Kai and Rei..... I started off on Yugioh, and then Beyblade drew me in....
Now I'm all growed up sweatdrop (technically) and I'm absotively ADDICTED to Stargate SG-1 (Jack / Daniel) and The Sentinel (Jim / Blair) fics.
Also addicted to my Fake books. Sadly, half of them are on loan to people... (more fool me, cause I'm on holiday and can't get them back till next week).

I 1st came cross yaoi when I was looking up GW info and pics about 6yrs ago. My 1st reaction was what is this and why is Herro on top duo, kissing. At time I didn't know about gay people or what it means. All I new was that I need learn more about guy on guy, because it look so yummy to me..... As time went by I became yaoi fan girl and now I can't live without my anti-drug......Yaoi. xd

MadRagingVen To be honest, I was quite disturbed, but now I love it. razz I can't remember who exactly was the first couple I encountered, but it was someone from Digimon..... xp That's me, too, right down to the first encounter via Digimans. Now, practically all het pairings bore me. If it doesn't involve secret gay love, I'm not paying attention to it.

Someone wrote this beautiful Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan fic a little after the first Jedi Apprentice novels first came out. The fic was a really well thought out AU of what would have happened if Obi-Wan hadn't been trapped in that field and Qui-Gon survived. Obi-Wan got injured in the process and fall into a coma. Meanwhile Qui-Gon fulfilled his promise to Anakin and took him on as his apprentice. When Obi-Wan was revived, he felt threatened and hurt by this and as soon as he was healthy, he became a Knight and took a long-term mission far from Corusaunt.
All through the whole fic it went back and forth between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan's perspective and I remember my little eleven-year-old-self going, 'Aww, they miss each other so much!' 'It's such a sad story about misplaced father-figures and men unable to come to terms with their emotions...'
Then I got to the last chapter and the reunion scene...Yeah. Scared me off fanfiction for all of a month.
Then I fell into the pit of Darkness that was Harry Potter (third book'd just come out) and the only fic site I could find for it was a Snupin slash archive, with the occasional Black angst thrown into the mix. Hawtsome.
By the way, if anyone knows where I can find that Star Wars fic again, please, for the love of the Force, send it to me. I will heart you for all of eternity.

xd Actually, I ran into it in the Megaman X area- and my first reaction was, wait, I thought Zero was a GIRL?! What's this now?
I didn't like anything graphic. redface (Still don't actually...) But I was more or less like, this is my pairing, why should I change it...?
