D.C. turned around quickly, but then sighed with relief." Oh, just you," he muttered a little before rubbing the back of his head. He though for a moment." There's a few hours till the sun start's coming up, so around one I suppose," D.C. said to her as he leaned against the wall. He remained silent for a few moments." So, what woke ya up? Bad dreams or something?" He asked her as he looked over at her. The cigarette was hanging loosely in his mouth as he watched her. D.C. was frowning slightly because he could tell that whatever she had dreamed had made her sad or something.

"I see," Mew said not really caring all that much about what time it was. Mew didn't look at D.C. because she was trying to hide the fact she was upset, "yeah..." Mew said before being quiet for a little bit not really wanting to talk about it, "what about you, why are you up?"

D.C. sighed and looked up at the ceiling. He took the cigarette out of his mouth, and turned it off as he placed it back in his pocket. He didn't say anything for a moment." Egh, I cant really sleep that much. being a light sleeper while in a battle zone is part of it, plus the nightmares. And just a bunch of stuff really," he muttered quietly before walking over to the bed. D.C. reached under it and pulled out the bottle of rum, which he quickly took a big drink of. He then held it out to Mew." Want some? It helps. Trust me."

Mew nodded as D.C. explained why he couldn't sleep understanding what that kind of stuff was like. Mew sighed, "Yeah sure I'll have some," she said before taking the bottle and taking a drink out of it, "thanks."

D.C. shrugged, and hiccuped slightly. He shook his head." Ugh, I think its kicking in. I should mention, this bottle is filled with a custom brew. It gets you twice as drunk, twice as fast," he said as he sat down on the edge of the bed. His skin seemed reddish, and he was sweating a little." Man this stuff warms you up," D.C. muttered, slurring slightly.

Mew rolled her eyes, "you're an alcoholic you realize that right?" Mew said smiling at D.C. as he sat down on the bed. Mew took another sip out of the bottle before saying to D.C. "and sorry to disappoint you but I don't plan on getting drunk buzzed maybe but drunk no." Mew took another small sip from the bottle before offering it back to D.C.

D.C. shrugged and yawned a little and he laid back. He stared at the ceiling." Hey, when you can't loose brain cells, only gain them, and you've seen some of the stuff I do, drinking is a relief that is rarely given, he said chuckling as he closed his eyes. D.C. opened them again, and looked at mew upside down." And hey, I never asked you to get drunk. I simply said try it."

"Yeah but still" Mew said not wanting to explain herself but wanting her point to still be there. Mew lay back on the bed and as she sat there staring at the ceiling she boredly said "so what's the plan for today if you don't mind me asking?"

" Well, we have to get a few things, and then I'm being sent to a different sector, so I guess we're moving," D.C. said, his words becoming even more slurred. He was quiet for a little bit, and then he fell into a deep sleep. He rolled over, and wrapped his arms around Mew in a way that would be it impossible for her to get away. D.C. made noises like a dog makes when it sleeps.

"Ight I'm fine with that," Mew said to D.C. before he fell asleep and held her. "Hey D.C. what the heck" Mew complained as she tried to escape for a few seconds before giving up. "Uh I guess uh whatever," Mew said letting herself get comfy in D.C.'s arms before she eventually fell back asleep.

[ Time skip 6 hours later ]
D.C. groaned loudly as he woke up. He realized quickly that he was holding Mew, and he let go of her and jumped out of bed very quickly. He rubbed the back of his head, muttering to himself," Well, I hope I didn't make things to awkward for her." D.C. looked around the room, and saw that his normal outfit was now clean and on the desk. D.C. started to take his clothes off in order to change.

Mew woke up when D.C. jumped out of bed. This time she clearly had a better time sleeping and kinda was slightly disappointed to not wake up in D.C.'s arms. "So did you sleep well?" Mew said trying to hide the fact that she was slightly disappointed and when she noticed D.C. was getting changed she looked the other way so he could finish, "and by the way are my clothes there to?"

D.C. had his pants on when he realized that Mew was up as well. He finished changing as fast as he could, and finally pulled his jacket on." Um, yeah I guess I did," he said as he looked down. He then looked and saw that Mew's clothes were in the chair." And yeah, there are. Anyways, you, you didn't see anything right?"

"Cool and no I didn't" Mew said before getting out of bed. She then walked over to where her clothes were, "mind not looking so I can get changed too?" Mew said as she grabbed her clothes.

D.C. simply nodded and walked over to the window. He looked out of it as he waited for Mew to get changed.
