My character's name: Debbie Gadsby
Give us a quick rundown of your character: A chatterbox of a girl who would prefer a desk job; she loves the research her division does because it would allow them to get one-up on the evils that kill her comrades and threaten her own life. More than that she loves to play nurse; if she can try to get someone back to health, to save someone, she's the happiest woman in the division. Debbie takes great pains to make herself look good from paperwork to appearance and as a result takes great pride in everything she accomplishes. That being said she takes failures personally if not violently. Injury is an occupational hazard and she will get over it eventually, but not after her retaliation; she retaliates proportionate to the size of the perpetrator and the gravity of their offence. For example, merely breaking her nail; a keyboard might get a shaking, a person a punch to the shoulder and the vending machine a good kick. This violent reaction includes the Hunters that should die in her care, as she'd be the one to beat her hands on their chest to try and get their heart started again.
Writing sample blurb: While she agreed to the mission as loyally as she could, Debbie really only had two words for the sudden calling towards the MYSTERIOUS mission: "Oh Crap!" Why were these her only words? Well, that was simply because she had no idea what the mission was, or if she would need to pack certain things, or wear a thicker shirt under her jacket.
She was curious of course, and suspicious. What was so mysterious that they couldn't give her any detail? Was it a suicide mission? Would any of her comrades - or worse, herself - be sent to their doom? Well, they were always sent to their doom, but would this one be one of those no-win scenarios? Mysterious Missions always put her on edge; so many things she didn't know, so many opportunities to fail! She would not fail! She would not die! And she would remember to wear something somewhat temperature ambiguous, just because.

There is the side of her that is a dedicated researcher, taking delight in finding new things to the point that it's almost child-like at times. Usually she is at her happiest holed up in a little lab in a outpost, studying anything new that might be be brought in, among other things. Occasionally she goes out and socializes, usually pretty friendly if you can drag her away from the lab long enough to stop thinking about it. However,that doesn't mean that she has totaly neglected her fighting either. The reality of their situation is very real to her, and won't hesitate to step up and fight if there is a need.. and if she can collect a few fresh samples, well that's just a bonus. Her attitude when fighting is completely different from when she is in her lab... calm, collected, and focused on keeping her team and herself alive. Miri strongly believes in being a team player after all the years being a Hunter and seeing too many people die by thinking they can take the world on by themselves. Writing sample blurb: *buzz buzz* Miriam just sighed and let her phone vibe in her pocket while continuing to jot down notes from their latest specimen brought in earlier that week. Not only did she have to finish this up, there were stacks of paper work to finish from the last attack along with requests for more staff. Everything else could wait and if it couldn't, well too bad. A small knock sounded at the lab door and she waved them on in, putting the finishing touches on the notes as a fellow Hunter came in and plopped down in a chair. "Heh... did you get one of these yet?" they asked, motioning to their phone when she glanced up. "Hmm? Oh yes, I felt it vibe but haven't checked it yet. Was just finishing up this report and-" "Well you are going to want to... if it's the same one I recieved." Miriam just arched a brow and reached into her pocket, flipping it open and quickly glancing over the message. "Huh... well this ought to be interesting. I wonder what they have going on now..." she sighed, closing the phone with a snap before rising with a bit of a stretch. "Better go get packed and ready to head out then... they never like to be kept waiting with these things. As much as I'd rather stay here in the lab, I'm not willing to risk the wrath of the higher ups over it." Age of character: 25 Gender of character: Female Faction: Life Runic or Fear Hunter? It's not that she's shy or doesn't know what to say - she just prefers not to. But it doesn't mean that she doesn't feel. She's tried opening up to other hunters before, but after a couple of friends were killed in action, she finds it difficult to share. But to anyone who knows her, her silence can speak loudly enough that, even though she doesn't say anything outright, they know she cares. - Has a strict sense of honor that she follows to the tee- she's the type of person that will do something she finds despicable if she's ordered to do so by someone she's sworn her allegiance to. But that doesn't mean she wouldn't judge if such an order is given. Writing sample blurb: Write a little from the POV of your character! This can be very short, 100 words is fine, we just want YOU to personally get a handle on what your character is like, I will not be reading this section, consider this a small writing exercise. The prompt is that your character has just been called away from their current outpost/mission to this MYSTERIOUS new one. They have no clue what this mission is about. What are their reactions? That means you can create a set of daggers that are offensive instead of barrier, or for instance, a barrier sword, but nothing extremely out of the blue like a missile launcher, for example. All Runic Weapons have THE SAME EFFECTS AS LISTED (ie: barrier, attack, heal, trap, slow). YOU CAN ONLY HAVE TWO EVER. For example, a trapping gun, an offensive dagger. If you are creating a regular Fear weapon, give your weapon a name, a general appearance, and what kind of creature it was prior to conversion (weapons were once Halloween creatures after all). My character's name: Niabi
Give us a quick rundown of your character: - Niabi is what you'd call eccentric. Everything from her movements to her questions are weird. If she takes three steps left she has to take one to the right. Her plans are made up on the spot and the way they work they sound very weird and farfetched. She's also very talkative, meaning the woman won't shut up. If there's some useless fact or something you've gotten her started on that she knows about, and then be ready to sit there and listen for a while or walk away. However, Niabi will follow you; though there's a small chance you can distract her. However, she's not all bad; her eccentric ways causes her battle style to be slightly unpredictable, but not impossible to figure out. This helps her some since she isn't the strongest hunter around.
Writing sample blurb:
"A new mission? B-But I haven't finished my old one." Niabi was keeping up despite pausing to take a step back every-so-often. "No. It can't. It won't do. It simply won't. You know how I have to finish what I started. It's bad luck." She pointed out to her superior.
She shook her head as they continued on. Niabi was speaking quickly, "If the bandersnatch is allowed to continue then we're all doomed. I tell you, I had the best plan too. You see if I had an extra hand, yes one extra hand. I could've done it. It's not that I don't want a new mission; it's that I have to finish my old one. I had a very good plan."
She side stepped and continued walking. "You see the bandersnatch was almost on its way to being caught. I had everything that I needed; the trumpet, a drum, some snare symbols, some calamari and a hint of pixie dust." She paused when there was a glance back at her. "Okay it wasn't really pixie dust, it was a pixie stix but the bandersnatch would've never known."
"What about those poor people? I mean are you really going to leave them alone with that thing? I did all the research. OH, oh right I meant to ask I needed a little more money for the budget, I gotta get some chocolate. I ran out of money for a bar. Please, just give me another day!"
"Niaba. Did you see the rabbit?"
"What rabbit?" Niaba stopped to look around curiously trying to find this rabbit.
"It's in the folder of the new mission."
"OH, I didn't look at it that well.... I mean really we need to fin-" Niaba was cut short.
"You should read the new case. I think you'll find it suits your.... style."
