Amarus would probably have liked this hunter, if he wasn't ... well, trying to knock them all unconscious. She was happy to see Faustus join the fray, doing more damage than she herself had managed. Olivia, for her part, was trying not to take any damage.

"Sorry you're in this, Olivia," she apologized quietly to the ghoul, before renewing her efforts. To Faustus, she merely smiled as sincerely as she could. She'd watch his back as much as she was able, though perhaps the three of them could retreat to somewhere less... in the middle, later.

Distracted by worrying over her friends, and these jack-damned new emotions she had to feel because of the jackdamninglotuses, Amarus only managed to elbow the Hunter. And even that was glancing. She felt something connect pathetically.

And then JD ate lance.

And elbow.

He could feel his eye swelling. He probably had a pretty impressive bruise. He guessed he would just have to say he fell down some stairs. Then he heard Auri's ear splitting whine - JACK, what had the ghoul gotten herself into NOW?

He threw himself in front of her attackers...sorta. "Stop FALLING ONTO THEIR WEAPONS and maybe you wouldn't get so messed up!"

Jove clenched his jaw as he was knocked back, holding in the wheeze that would surely have tipped the hunter off to how much that hurt. But it was only a little clobbering! He was pretty sure he had taken worse being sat on by his big brother.

With another snap of the teeth he lunged again, aiming for a blow that would put this hunter out for good. Or at least one that would shut this hunter up! It was painfully chatty, constantly making those stupid sounds, always commenting on everything it seemed!

Mercedes was more than prepared when suddenly an onslaught of creatures; the first time by the way that she was ever exposed to Amityville (and guest) students. This was irrelevant to her though as she lifted her bowguns and took aim at one of the closer denizens.



"What's that Hadjoc?" Mercedes shouted out loud not just to her weapon but her fellow mists. "You sound hungry-" she uttered more seriously then fired at Faustus. Hadjoc was shrieking with delight in her head.



It hissed when the arrow would make contact.

"HEY MAN. DON'T HIT ON MY SISTER." He then turned to Auri. "Awwww, quit your bitchin' already. It's only a flesh wound, dweeb."

Jove was doing a far better job of defending himself than Amarus was of attacking. One measly little hit, something like... what, yeah, she elbowed the hunter. And he was telling her to wait her turn, which was irritating, but made sense given the horrible glancing blow she had managed in the first place. However, she was immediately distracted by the Hunter attacking Faustus.

That was very uncool. Amarus felt anger like she never had before flare up in her. "Hey, Olivia, wanna lend a hand this time around?" she asked the shy ghoul who had been hanging out with them all this time. If Olivia wanted to stay and defend herself, of course Amarus would-- okay, well, no, she wouldn't "understand" it, because that wasn't the way she was. But she did feel bad about the frightened ghoul getting caught up in the battle. Still... with all three of them fighting, maybe they would stand a chance. For all she knew, though, Olivia was already fixing to attack.

Amarus folded her hands into the kuji-kiri for Pyo; she really needed the focus, she needed the strength of mind and body, she needed to direct her energy into the fight. She wanted to keep Faustus safe. Too bad she wasted all her time focusing, and spent none of it actually attacking, jack damn her scattered mind. She sincerely hoped the others would do a better job = x=

Faustus jerked, and let out a small cry as something pierced his right arm. White-hot pain shot through it, and seething he turned to stare to the arrow protruding from his upper arm, FEAR-fed flames leaking from the wound.

He snapped it off and jerked the remaining tip out with a grimace, turning to glare to the new human who had entered, his fiery wings burning deep crimson with rage. The demon made a sudden lunge for her, claws outstretched, but his weakened arm missed by inches as he dove past.
