Aislin listened with rapt attention as Dr. Stein reported all of his recent findings and studies to her. Perhaps she could do the same someday. She mused quietly on the thought, curious to what it really took to be a researcher as great as Dr. Stein. Hearing his assumption, Aislin frowned a little and rolled her eyes. "Hardly, though I wish it were true. Sure, maybe on an intellectual level but in the field I've been pretty much left in the dust. Shira's lucky to have a partner that actually stays with her."

''It's great,Aislin-chan.Your mother faced that same challenge as well.The thing is,when your a teacher,you face three groups of students.In one group,you have the poor studying but great field potential.In another,you have the equal decent study and feild group.And then there's the group that your in-the great studying but poor field group.You've read all there is to read but you need to have more experience in battle.Once you have more experience from sparing and battles,you'll be able to really put the knowledge and techniques you learned in class.I have my classes learn about the class subjects on mondays,wendsdays,and fridays.On those days,we'll study and talk about the lesson.And have tests outside on fridays.On tuesdays and thursdays,we'll go outside to practice what we were talking about yesterday in class.And I stay after school to spar and practice with the students everyday.I think I'm going to be assigned a weapon partner but we could collect souls at night and on my weekends so it doesn't affect my students' training.And you'll find a partner to work with.You have a hard working and smart soul like your parents.A soul that can match with yours will find you.Souls are drawn to one another like magnets.They might be total opposites like Maka and Soul but together they can be even stronger than they would be on their own.'' he said.

Aislin had this look on her face that seemed to convey a message along the lines of "Wow, Stein-jii. It's like you don't know me at all." She simply shook her head at it all. Maybe he took the "left in the dust" part a little too literally and interpreted very differently. "Well, it's not that I don't have any experience. I actually have quite a lot given that I've been at least been on one mission with all of my partners, which is a lot might I remind you. But really, all the ones I've been on with Shira have just been me using my weapon gene. It's a kami-given gift I tell you. I'm starting to think I have a calling to not have a partner at all." she explained. Aislin just thinking about going to class made her feel too much like a kid. She couldn't imagine it. Definitely not at this age or year at the DWMA. "In fact, I might the opposite of you -- Incompatible with all if that's even possible."

"True, maybe you're both, but then there are those daft girls who will tell you 'Oh, age is only a number. True love conquers all. Blah blah blah'." she countered, imitating the best girly voice she could. "Chef or doctor. Pro back up plans that are sure to make the parents proud, right?" She started wondering how her parents would take that kind of career decisions. She imagined it with much disappointment and sorrow, possibly tears. "I'll make you all the food you want as long as you don't die anytime soon, old man." Well, at least she has other skills that don't necessarily require a battlefield to perform. She could probably get a part time at the cafe or something. Aislin disregarded the idea and spun in her chair. "It's been nearly four years. You would think I would have found the partner by now." she sighed.

"But yeah, I wouldn't mind being your lab assistant or something. Just don't perform crazy experiments on me or anything please. In return you get delicious food and I'll make sure you don't die." she agreed. "Ah, today's been such a long day, I might just take a nap right here, right now. Good night." Aislin announced suddenly as she laid her head down on the seat, closing her eyes.

As Alice walked through the hall she sighed. She had to seek to her father about these constant issues or episodes of madness breaking through. She has excepted it since she was very young that this might effect her. Alice's madness was quick and brief, but it was still uncontrolled at times. When she sucked a bunch of people into her own mind it was bad. She sighed, raising her fist to the door looking at hit she heard her father and someone else. The voice was very familiar...

Aislin peeked at the door after hearing the knock. Sitting upright as Dr. Stein opened it, it was revealed to be Alice, here to visit her father no doubt. "Yo, Alice. Aislin, Alice. Ais-twin." she said rhyming their names together as she often did. "Nah, too noisy for a nap now. Not with these sensitive ears. Great on the field, terrible for bed." she said with a frown, pulling on one of her earlobes.

''I'm sorry,Alice-chan.Over the forty years that I've had it,I've been trying to learn about it,both in general and as if applies to myself.I spent most of those years training both my mind and body.I don't want to jump to any conclusions yet because I still haven't been on that many missions lately.But I think I have some control of it.When I get the urge to dissect something,I go outside and kill the monsters.I take it out on them until I don't feel that urge anymore...It makes my dissecting urge go away and is more productive and better than killing alot of innocent people.Then I collect the souls and give them to lord Death.We have to be careful when we go out on missions.I don't know if it would get better or worse if we went off traveling to abunch of places.I haven't asked lord Death but I think there could be a magic we could create or find that could help reverse slow down the madness or even prevent it..But I know for sure that enough physical and mental training and fighting against the urge when it happens as much as you can will help you gain better control of it.Would you like to start training together? We can work together to help you control it better.'' he said.Stein walked over to the chair that had been broken in half and picked them up.He kissed Alice's forehead before walking out into the hallway.He sat them by the thrash can then returned to the room.He too the broom that he had in the corner of the room and swept the floor.It needed abit of a sweeping.He didn't sweep for more than afew moments though.He had swept up the pebbles from foot traffic and shards of chair into the dustpan before putting them back in their corner.
