[Tymiko, Nadja, Dith]

No sooner had the words to Tymiko left his mouth than he lifted his gaze and saw something, or rather someone, he knew all too well. He knew the grace with which she walked, the subtle gestures she used to convey body language, the curve of her face, and the smooth sound of her voice. The lighting shown off copper hair and Seth stared for several moments, until he realized that someone approached and spoke to her. A mountain of a man that one could not easily forget. He caught snippets of the words spoken, which were rather friendly in nature, as if he knew her.

Seth's gaze hardened considerably as dark thoughts permeated his mind, jumping to conclusions by his currently irrational state. Memories of his discussion with Dith came to the forefront, and the sudden and unexpected break up between him and Nadja.

So that's how it was.

How long had she been seeing this man, he wondered. It would certainly explain everything. So very well that it was disturbing. She'd never given him a proper explanation, or even spoke to him face to face. It all made sense now. She'd found someone else, someone she deemed better, and then threw him away like so much garbage.

And that man, he likely knew everything. Dith had probably been laughing at him the entire time they'd spoken.

They had played him for a fool.

He stared at the two with such an intensity of mounting anger and complete, utter hatred. Any remorse or sorrow he'd felt in regards to Nadja, and any respect he might've had for Dith, was suddenly thrown out the window. It was replaced by such a strong sense of betrayal and loathing that he'd never felt before.

His blood pressure rose exponentially, and he suddenly felt as if he was suffocating. Tearing his gaze away from the Russian pair, Seth hurried away without another word to the girl. He needed some air and a place to sit down. Quickly he strode out of the park and sat heavily on a bench, his head in his hands as he gasped for air. His chest felt like it would explode, and his head throbbed agonizingly. Everything was suddenly too bright and he had to shut his eyes against it.

[Xander?]

Another day another party.

He hated parties.

Frost wore his own suit, a smart tux and bowtie. He did not take a drink, or an h'orderve, or anything else. He hated it here, but Xander had seemed to like the idea of coming and... and he was trying to be normal for him. Well, not normal, but to have some normal human features.

He rembered the bar, loud and stinking of alcohol and people singing.

The halloween party, hot and dark and opressive.

At least tonight he was out in the open air, and could retreat to the shadows if he needed to.

For now however the small blond scanned the crowd for... for his date.

How strange to think such a thing.

Originally, Faleen had little to no intention of going to an event like this, not when it wasn't required, and not with something that was so fully involved with something like the league.
Another reason would be of course, was that there didn't seem to be any lack of Rockets who had volunteered for this observation.

The decision not to go however, had been reassessed when she became aware of her partner going, this was the kind of thing he would be good at after all.
and seeing as this was a partnership, it of course meant that she had to be more willing to step out of that comfort zone filled with Robots and tech labs and accompany her partner.
It might have just been her... but he seemed a tad off as of late.

The event was as dolled as she expected it to be. and the people dressed up just as she expected, and remembered.
Fake, showy, disgusting.
And of course she looked just like them.

If ever there was a time that it showed Faleen was from a high class family, it was during events like this.
the young women cleaned up very nicely, with a classy, dress of light fabric, elbow high gloves that delectably held a fan, and a small clutch bag in one hand.
Her hair was curled and pearled clips pinned it up elegantly, with a few strands strategically draping down around her cheeks.
Her heels clicking lightly against the pathway into the park, hazel eyes delectably scanning, not for drink, or dance. But for the dark hair and red eyes of her Rocket partner.

While to many she knew she might look very different, in an environment like this, she blended in very well with the crowd.

[Tambrey, Rory, Ally]

Personally Kratos didn't see much point in complimenting another person's wardrobe - unlike his wife, he simply found absolutely nothing of interest to comment about... well, he had with Anna, but she was the exception to many rules and personal convictions. Thus, when Tambrey compliments him, the response she got wasn't a thank you, but rather a "Hn," and a tiny quirk of the lips.

Without Miette around, getting him to open up was a challenge not undertaken lightly. It was almost a kind of entertainment for him, to see others try and pry him into being more sociable, or - Arceus forbid - open. They made some interesting efforts, but he hadn't known one person yet who had successfully gotten through his guard without Miette as an aid.

He supposed the blond had a point about beautiful women, at least when he applied the other man's statement to his memory of Anna. Still, he couldn't let a statement like that pass by unacknowledged, and so for this, at least, he would break his reserved demeanor slightly. "I've found that such reactions depend on the man and woman involved," the redhead said, watching the alcohol servers with distaste. He never liked drinking - it dulled the senses and slowed response time and was more of a hassle than anything.

It was kind of amusing to see the other young lady - Ally - turning bright colors. Were Anna here, she'd have already spun two or three different plans to try and get them to go out, and Lloyd... well, he wasn't going to think about his son. Not here, not now, never outside of his allotted day of mourning for the lost child. Besides, there were other things to consider tonight, like the possibility that this entire gathering was little more than an elaborate and well-plotted trap - while not precisely likely, it wasn't outside of the realm of possibility, either. Nothing was.

"Perhaps it simply isn't time yet."

(Opal, Repede)

Maiko eyes the fluffy tail's that Opal and Repede were waving and twitched, wanting to play with them but holding back for them moment, a very rare moment. "Rak, spi." Of course she would love to play and it was nice to meet Repede.

~*~*~

(Asch. Izaya)

Things between Asch and her had gone quiet and slightly awkward but Izaya's interruption was not really welcomed. Natalia still gave a polite smile to the man though. "Hello. Yes it is." she agreed, turning a bit to look at him, the light catching the necklace to make it shine.

~*~*~

(Frost)

Unlike his date, Xander didn't have mush more then black dress pants and a nice grey shirt but he did borrow one of the jackets from Team Rocket to complete it. No ties though, those were just walking nooses thank you. He quickly spotted Frost and moved over to him with a bright smile. "Sorry I'm a little late." he said as he got close. He had walked the area a bit and glanced around, looking to see if there was anyone here to avoid getting into their line of sight.

Luke wasn't unfamiliar with this kind of thing, and he didn't particularly like it. It was too nostalgic of the boring political parties he had been forced to attend, not unlike his brother - though his experience had also included the mandate to make nice with various politicians and participate in their boring, convoluted conversations. He was used to making himself scarce at this sort of event. But it was the League, and the boy didn't want to hear secondhand what had happened. He'd suited up comfortably while still conforming to the apparent dress code: a black, subtly pinstriped vest, black pants and shoes, a plain white shirt with the sleeves pushed up (it was summer, for Arceus sake; he was practically sweating looking at all the people in their stuffy jackets) and a tie colored green to dissuade the appearance of attending a funeral rather than a party. His dress was the only mark of enthusiasm on his person; the young noble stood to a side, watching as the evening proceeded without directly participating in it himself.

____________
Another attended for the purpose of observation as well; the Rocket Catherine specialized secondarily in exactly that and stood on the outskirts of the festivities. She dressed simply in a black dress accompanied by a sheer white bolero jacket, her hands folded daintily at her waist and her posture rigid. The only sign that the woman had any interest in her attendance at all was her vermillion eyes as they darted from place to place, person to person, drinking in detail and dialogue hungrily. Slowly, she pieced together a character for her use.

[Luke]

Fidgeting awkwardly next to Luke was another boy with platinum blonde hair with a ridiculous strand of it nearly standing on end like an antenna. He wasn't use to this sort of thing, and his nervousness definitely showed. He wore a white dress shirt with black slacks and shoes, along with a dark blue tie.

He wasn't exactly good at this and had fumbled with the neck tie for nearly an hour before getting it right. Emil was convinced he looked stupid, and was trying to follow his friend's example since he obviously knew more about this stuff than he did.

"So... what are we supposed to do?" He asked cluelessly of Luke.

[Emil]

"Mm..." Supposed to do. Was there really anything like that at a party? He shrugged unhelpfully. "Whatever you want, I guess? There's food and stuff, and music... This kind of thing is mostly for politics though." Luke had a very jaded view of parties, apparently.

[Luke]

"Oh..." Emil said, closing his eyes in a resigned sigh. That wasn't very helpful at all, but okay. He scratched his head, looking around, but still unsure as to what to do. He wasn't exactly a social butterfly, Emil was too shy to go mingle with the crowd. And the food was... way over there. Maybe he'd just continue standing here with Luke cause... that seemed like the safest option at the moment.

Well, that was almost entirely as expected from Kratos, she supposed, and Tambrey couldn't really say that she was too bothered by it, though she fought the impulse to roll her eyes.

She smiled, properly, though at Rory's response and comment, regarding Ally and girls dressed like her; it was starting to become pretty clear that he was smitten, and from the blushes and behaviour from Ally, Tam' was getting the impression the feeling was mutual.
"So... Y' two a couple then or not quite yet?" Maybe they needed a little tiny bit of a push.
She nodded, though, in agreement with Kratos.
"It's not been all that long; 's just something that'll happen when they're ready." She doubted, however, that even if there had been a set time for the announcement, that it would be kept to; as far she was aware, public events seldom ran to perfect timekeeping.

More faces that she recognised were passing in and out of view, though she found herself double-taking at a couple or second guessing herself just a little; these outfits really could make people look rather different.

[Luke, Emil]

The pink on the usually brightly colored pink trainer wasn't nearly as obvious today, Though it was still present, of course, it was a more subtle touch along with gold on her white dress.
Very modern, very fashionable, something that she had picked out during a recent shopping trip with Sera.
The brunette who Rosie was sharing company with at this moment.

The young women wasn't just looking the part of the formal event, she loved every second of it. With her hair done in soft waves that didn't intrude her face, subtle makeup to give her lips and cheeks color, and even further brighten the blue of her eyes.

As usual, her pokemon Kiss Kiss was out with her, the Raichu perched on all four paws next to her as the girl stood with her best friend Seraphine, watching as more and more people entered the park for the event.
Her cheeks flushed with excitement.

It wasn't very long before she spotted a familiar face, and red hair.
Luke looked dashing in the formal suite, It wasn't very often that she saw him out of his grande Ile clothing.
He was standing with a man that she didn't know, but seemed to be talking to one another.

One hand reached out to touch Sera's arm, as she brought her attention to the red haired trainer in there group before starting over to the two men, catching the end of their conversation.
"Doesn't have to be~" she said, as she stepped up next to them smiling at Luke. "Hi Luke~"
And then to the blond with him "And, Hello Sir"

(Rosie, Luke, Emil)

Seraphine walked beside Rosie, her dress a similar style but colored differently - it was mostly black with pink accents here and there, mostly lace. A black ribbon was tied into her wavy brown hair that was half-pulled up into a fancy style that had the obvious hints of one coming directly from a salon earlier that day. Her nails were done as well, and a touch of makeup on her cheeks and lips completed the look.

Anastasia trotted along beside her trainer quite happily. Apart from her white leather collar with pink rhinestones set into it, Sera had tied a white bow to one side of her head, in front of one ear, and a similar, larger one to the base of her tail. Her upside-down heart-shaped markings were the most visible in the dim light of the evening, as they glowed a faint pink against the dresses and pant legs she passed by as she walked.

At the touch to her arm, Sera turned a quizzical look to Rosie before following the other girl to Luke and... Some other guy who looked like he wasn't at all used to these sort of events. Pity, really. Still, she was trying to make an effort (still) to be less callous to people like that in general, so she offered the pair a polite wave. She wouldn't go so far as to refer to him as 'sir' like Rosie had, though. "Hey Luke, hello... Uh, whatever your name is." Wait, that probably wasn't one of those things she should just casually say anymore... "What, uh, what did you say your name was?" There, better.

(Seto)

When the man finally stopped, Ty nearly bumped into him. She stiffened as he turned around and yelled in her face. When he finished, though, she looked quite calm, and when Kaiba re-asked his question with a more dignified air, the girl dressed as a boy smirked slightly.

"Your mask is slipping," she uttered in a playful whisper. It was not meant to mock, but rather spoken with the innocent tone of a child telling a stranger with the utmost honesty that they were fat.

But already the Kaiba man's attention was drawn away. She tried to follow his gaze, standing on her tip-toes, but to little avail. "What'cha looking at?"

As she watched, the man was transforming before her eyes. If his mask had slipped before, she was pretty sure the fire in his eyes had incinerated it by now. Even so, the child kept up even as the business man walked away. Her curiosity was nagging at her. What was this emotional man doing in a business suit? Leaning over slowly as she reached his bench, she tapped him lightly on the shoulder. "Hey."

(Asch, Natalia, Faleen)

Izaya, realizing that Natalia would be polite as always, inclined his head and beamed warmly at her. He refused to look at Asch. "That's a very nice date you have there, Lady Natalia. He's lucky to have you. Not sure you will remember me, but it's Nakura. From the Halloween party last October."

The light of the necklace flashed in his red eyes, lighting them up with a malicious glow for an instant. "You look as stunning as ever. My, what a beautiful necklace. Almost reminds me of a Labradorite necklace I bought my younger sister as a present once." He looked at it thoughtfully, chancing a glimpse of Asch out the corner of his eye. "I wasn't aware they had pendants like those in Grande Ile as well. Or did you buy that here in Kodo?"

Wait. What was that? He did a double-take. Yes, hazel eyes. The green in them was brought out by the matching color of her dress. Blonde hair... But in that getup? Certainly not. Still... that face... Even if it was just a solemn-looking Rosie, he thought he ought to go speak with her. There were more pressing matters than the pendent for now.

"I'm sorry; I think I just found my date. Please excuse me. You two have a pleasant evening," he added, bowing and turning away. He couldn't lose sight of that young woman. Could it possibly have been the agent he'd been searching for? Perhaps the reason he hadn't been able to find her all this time was because she had blended in so remarkably well. Why wasn't she in his department?! Infiltration would have been perfect for her. Well...despite her obvious disinterest in people. A shame.

"Excuse me, miss," he called as he wove through a few clusters of socializers, reaching out a hand to touch the lady's shoulder. "You seem to be lost. Are you looking for someone?"

[Emil, Rosie, Sera]

"Lovely night, isn't it?" A shortish man in a deep blue suit had strolled up to the timid blond and his conversation partner(s), looking dapper in a navy blue suit. His brunette hair was bound back in a thin ponytail and a half-full champagne flute rested almost forgotten in his fingers. "Hope you're enjoying yourselves. Trainers?"

[Tymiko]

"Leave me alone," Seth growled at the girl who had followed him again. He was in no mood for her and just wanted time to himself. His anger boiled under the surface, the man doing his best to fight it back, but it persisted just as the pain did.

"Ugh," he groaned, holding his head and squeezing his eyes shut so tightly that tears were forced out.

In response, a raging dark beast rattled around in its master ball, thirsting for blood. However, it was restrained by the confines of the ball and could not escape.

Eventually Seth reached into the pocket of his suit's coat and pulled out a small metal container which held some nondescript pills. He removed a few and put them in his mouth, swallowing them dry.

[Natalia, Izaya]

Asch watched Izaya, giving him a dangerous glare as his topic of choice centered on the necklace. Crap. It figured that he would decide to comment on that. The man had thrown a fit at Aila's funeral because he's put it on a Pokemon in his partner's honor. Obviously, Izaya must have been equally, if not more, offended by the piece of jewelry now being on Natalia.

However, the Asian man was quickly distracted by something else and went his way.

Scowling, he watched Nakura stalk off before reaching out to take Natalia by the hand to lead her away. "Come on," he told her, taking her as far away from Izaya as they could possibly get.
