Matt continued to change the bandages on Leon giving a nod to Clarice as she chatted to her boyfriend.

Or at least he assumed they were at this point as he turned his attention to Harrison and Rep. Despite the larger red haired boys obviously dislike of him and the glares of what other could be called hate, Matt gave him a smile and waved a bloody hand before continuing with Leon. What he didn't say he was he watching his movements, if he moved too much and made all of his injuries worse he could forget about fighting.

Ok so maybe Matt was a worried wort over the injured, at least Rep decided to keep the medkits.

"If your going to sit up try not to bleed all over the cot then and let me know if you want your bandages changed or just want them all off together, and as for you..." Matt replied turning from Rep to Leon as he finished the last set of bandages.

"All done, now get a little rest before you go running out or trying to beat off fog monsters."

The chatting about girlfriend and boyfriend was not something he was familiar with, not that didn't have girlfriends back in the day in the world but here no.

As the discussion unraveled around him, Jerry could only groan back into his blood-soaked pillow. "Someone just... pump me full of painkillers and show me what to shoot."

He was a Sun. He didn't want to over think it. He didn't want to analyze and more than likely freak himself out even further. He just wanted to blow up the bad-guys and make them go away so he could hopefully sleep a little better.

It was one thing to be tended but Leon felt like Matt may just be the mother hen nurse of the tent. He was at least glad the guy didn't try and give him a lollipop. The rest did seem like a good idea actually as he grunted from the effort of getting relaxed in such a tiny cot. "Roger that mother hen." the life hunter said with a salute and turned to the trigger happy Jerry.

At least the three of them were alive. "When you're full of meds, shoot Rep." he said with a sneer.

Yep, he was so glad the three of them were alive.

"Just blow up.... everything..." Jerry mumbled looking momentarily like he was ready to pass out.

The runes and Roar slowly did their work, but not fast enough for his taste.

He was, though, also glad they had survived.

One Death Hunter assistant literally went sailing through the air from the fog heralding the appearance of His Highness.

Mark's eyes went wide and sort of lit up as he saw Bul. "Holy crap, this guy went through the barrier? Did you see that..." He chanced a glance at Caelius, "... that is a very bad thing and we should probably fix that." The Death assistant crossed his arms and nodded and then slowly and not very subtly inched towards Clarice, attempting to equally slowly and not as subtly at all peer over her shoulder. It would have been cute if it wasn't you know, Mark, and he wasn't about to say something entirely inappropriate about her methodology again that probably involved at some point in the inevitable squabble the word boobies.

It was surprising even in such a relatively small space how much of an impact the Death lead was - or really opted to be as he managed a few terse words at literally anyone he saw idling, yelled something about "<******** spacing out" to most likely the sentries half-obscured by the fog in the distance, and then proceeded to storm back into the tent, a small wake of destruction a result of his warpath. At this point most Hunters opted to look as busy as possible, even if it was apparently, looking anywhere but in the general vicinity of His Highness.

"Er," Mark finally brought up, for a second distracted from boobies, surprisingly, "What do you we do with-"

- "Deal with the problem later." It was pretty obvious that Caelius was addressing everyone: it usually was a bad idea to ignore anything he was saying if not for the fear of simply having the exact same words bite them back viciously sometime in the foreseeable future. "We're changing original orders. Everyone is to pull back on standby. I don't want anyone ******** up this situation any further and that includes whatever amateur ******** research is going on in the background: you are not to leave this vicinity. Hunters sent to patrol the perimeter will do so in groups. Do not ******** engage what you cannot ******** handle, if you even have a speck of observation skills, then I am sure you are well aware that this so-called fog is the problem and not the individual students."

The original Moon Hunter put in charge of the tent seemed confused. "With all respect sir, we got direct orders from headquarters to investigate the Haunted House while-"

-"Ignore them."

She raised an eyebrow. "Pardon?"

"I will attribute your question to being <******** deaf. If you personally wish to contribute to the exact problem I just took time to mention, I am sure we can negotiate terms right now." Negotiation being a fancy word for the obvious. "Clarissa, Mark, you will continue remotely observing the condition of the Haunted House. The Ancient, no matter what its ******** status is, should be our first priority. There is a reason it is <******** with us and I want an exact location."

Silence. And then in the background, muffled voices. It was all the Death lead needed before he was off.

OOC

ALL HUNTERS ARE ON STANDBY:

- Hunters should still patrol around the area in groups of at LEAST TWO when they are ready! (OOC: this basically just means that you're still rping in the same subforum with equal chances of encounters, but there's some sort of buddy system going on now)

Jordan moved over to Clarice once Caelius had gone. "The students who've been turned to fog seem to be attacking indiscriminately," he told her, and motioned to Bul, "and that one says there's no safe place for them to rest. So the problem's probably snowballing with repeated dissipations. They just keep coming," he added, sounding frustrated.

Dakota barely woke in time to hear the king of hissy fits barking something outside his tent before yawning and stretching. s**t he hurt ALL OVER.

That's what he got for defending a death, even if it was a pretty death frenchie...

The walk out of the tent led him to Clarice and Jordan as he yawned again.

"Its not just students...Solia and I had to face one of the horsemen turned into fog...and she attacked her own kind as well. I think it was one of the heirs even...." yeah because Dakota knew the heirs...especially war.

"How's everyone here?"

And there was Caelius now. Thankfully, he didn't decide to blow up on Bul or anything like that. As far as the new orders went, Deryk nodded slowly. There was no way he was going to try and go out into the fog on his own after what happened anyway. He wasn't even really sure he wanted to go out there at all.

Wait. Ancient?

That didn't sound good.

The death trainee looked towards the other death hunters to see if they happened to know anything of that matter.

Huni Pi

Melvin was on a cot, breathing deep and steadying his nerves. The haunted house brought on a lot of old phobias, and he had started to miss his marks on firing by shaking alone. Pale and catching his breath, he was on the caught for a few minutes to keep himself from just feeling faint, to which he noticed someone beside him in the nearby cot looking just as pale.

"You okay?" Of course this was a stupid question considering they were in the infirmary tent, but he couldn't help but ask.

She woke up. Brown eyes opened to light, and the trainee made a small pained sound, hand trying to find her shoulder where the dagger had hit her from before. There wasn't a wound, but there was pain. Pain, like those in the eyes of the blue winged horsewoman. There was yelling, she was aware of that, but then it seemed like a good time to yell. It hurt to move, and getting up, she wobbled fro a second, cursing herself. She had-

You didn't.

A shiver, the death trainee felt like-

You aren't.

His words brought a small comfort, and she smiled. She could do this. Would do this. Pain or not she was alive and she still had Israfel. She didn't see Dakota, and that worried her. But-But she did see another death trainee, a rank abover her, but death non the less. walking over, she tapped him on the shoulder. "Excuse me." She hoped she wasn't intruding on.. death things. "But I woke up just now- What exactly are we death trainees supposed to be doing? Isn't our role to get information?" She would really be okay with less fighting.

There was tap on his shoulder followed by an unfamiliar voice addressing him. Turning around, Deryk saw a death trainee that he hadn't seen around before. Then again, she had just mentioned having waken up recently. That would explain it.

Man this was a rough first mission to take. Then again, his first wasn't all that much better.

"Oh. Hey. New person. Uh. Yeah. Gathering information, recon.. espionage... that sort of thing. Also not getting killed by our division lead. Yes," he replied, though he said the last thing a little more quietly. Letting out a breath, he looked around, before spying one of the med kits that were laid out for them. It might be good to go ahead and use one of those, he figured.

Solia smiled a bit nodding her head. "I woke up just over a week ago. Solia Delacroix." Looking around, she shuffled awkwardly. "If our role is intel why if you ah, don't mind me asking how is it that we're on the field like this? I get variables that change and miscalculations can happen, but this seems like something large enough that we would have come better prepared. Or at least, this mission wouldn't have included us trainees. It seems we're... not really equipped to handle the level of creatures here."

More awkward shuffling.

"Also-" her voice went to a whisper, "-is it common for our weapons to be recognized? Isra became one recently I guess but.. I dunno. I keep getting attacked for it. He says he chose it too so...I don't get it." A sigh. "Sorry. you probably only know as much as I do."

"Bond. Deryk Bond," Deryk gave in turn. As far as her question went, he let out a sigh, "Pretty much everyone gets field work in times like this. Even life people, when they usually stick to labwork. Also. Always trainees."

He scratched his head at this.

"Mission was supposed to be simple. Observe. Guessing the higher ups didn't know how serious it was til we got here. Wouldn't be a first, no," he replied. At her next question, his eyes widened for a moment. Wait. Isra. The... Siren?

"No.. but.. if your weapon is who I think he is... he became one very recently. Yes. Don't think most of our weapons knew the current students but yours is different. Several kids were kidnapped few months back. Most were released... he became a weapon. Not surprised former friends be a little.. resentful... no."

Deryk grimaced at this. He heard Isra had gone in willingly but... he still didn't like the whole situation surrounding that.

There were new faces appearing all over the tent, one had glasses and rather unfriendly manner that Matt took as one of the higher ups. He had seen him before but not in person.

Probably a good thing.

There were others waking up in cots, some who seemed about as lost on what was going on out in the battlefield. The more senior members looked as if this was nothing new, much like Harrison and the red head who already had comments about things that had happen previously. Matt experience on dealing with anything in this nature was zero.

Leaving him walking around with his hands open, "Anyone need bandages? Medkits? Umm... partner to patrol possible....." He let the last end of his sentence sort of die away, out of everyone there he was not injured but the idea of patrolling was not appealing he would rather leave it to another division.

THIS WAS IT Bul was dead. So very very very dead. There was no question about it, the moment Cael would re-enter that tent Bul had held his breath - A flashback to every nightmare he'd ever had staring into those blue vicious eyes kept him paralyzed. Never mind the fretful bantering from his assistant, when Caelius entered the tent, the boil felt every inch of his body tingle. Now that they were in a far calmer setting than out in the fog, he realized that this was that guy, one of two, that was a main target as described by Nox and SEEDS. If he and the infamous H were taken out, apparently, the world would be a better place.

But as the death lead spoke the reality started to sit in that.. right now something worse than HUNTERS was actually going on. 'The Ancient' stirred a nausea in Bul, especially when the command was to remain on standby. This meant going out to find Mei was not going to be a probable task and the monster boil was beginning to suddenly feel a little helpless again. Gale.. Gale where were you?

Frantically he looked around the tent as operations (or.. standby operations however THAT worked) continued. He turned to Deryk first and folded his fingers together in front of his chest, tentatively. It was painfully obvious he felt like deadweight. Not only was he too weak to go out there again with a group but there was probably no way to recruit anyone to help him. Then Deryk had turned away to a ghoul who was very obviously a newbie at her job.

Once more the boil felt a little dismayed- Deryk was busy, Jude had probably no intentions of ever wanting to help 'Spike' again, and Gale- wait, Gale-
Jack damnit where is shortstack? Bul stood waaaaaaay up tall on his tippy raptor toes to look around for a blonde that wasn't every other death male in the tent.
