moineau bavarde Betony nearly tripped when she heard the farmer yell. Hracka. She wasn't a runner, had never been a runner. She couldn't outrun the farmer - but could she hide? She glanced around for a bush or a hollow, anything where she could hide from the farmer.
It was so hard not to panic.- Staff Post - While she scrambled, Betony felt something press against her neck.... suddenly she couldn't move forward.
And it was getting hard to breathe... Moin, please roll a d4 ANYONE THAT'S WILLING TO HELP BETONY GET OUT OF THE SNARE, YOU HAVE HALF AN HOUR TO POST

((I'm assuming Kalei can help since she was included in the list? She ran off to the the other team earlier though and, if not, please ignore me. xC
Edit: Owsla in the other team gave her leave so she rushed back if that'll work.))
After Kalei had given the warning, she knew her best option would have been to return to the warren. The others were probably long gone by now, anyway, but something compelled her to return -- she didn't know what, only that she'd been making so many stupid decisions, so many mistakes, but she was only doing what she could, and she just needed to make sure...
Her eyes widened when she saw Betony caught within its grasp, and she rushed to help her quickly, momentarily dropping the flayrah.

No. It wasn't supposed to happen this way. She was a wild-born rabbit, not some hutch-spawn weakling. She had a brown pelt, she blended in... and of all the things to get her, a snare?
No. It wouldn't happen this way. Betony tried to lunge forward, break the snare somehow, even as the edge of her vision started to grow black.

Oh Frith no! Betony had got caught in a snare. Aythi dumped the flayrah she was carrying into a bush and doubled back to try to help her get out. Snares could be just as nasty and she wasn't about to see one of her team mates lost now. She hustled as she made her paws work over time.

The sudden cry from Betony pulled Sunheart back to life. Her head turned and she watched as two of the others sped towards the stricken doe. There wasn’t time to help. Sunheart was not going to jeopardize her own wellbeing to save another. Limbs back to life, she turned and ran. [Selfish rabbit is selfish, sorry Betony xD]

Pepper slowed as he heard it the snap, he had almost missed it. He whirled around to see Betony trapped in a snare. He cursed under his breath once more, moving to help the others. He instantly started at the post, digging away at it with his big paws. Pulling up roots and all as he worked to get it free, he would not leave someone behind.

+Swan-Song+ Swan felt the world tilt and he saw a red flower bloom; as it stopped and his vision cleared he tumbled and was left scrambling to his feet; only to see the caught doe. He hesitated, scared panic run all flashing before his eyes. He turned back and went to the doe. Something, something had to be done. He nosed the thing, her neck anything; he felt something odd and bit but it was too hard for his teeth. Seeing Aythi digging he looked and finally saw what she was doing. Shuttering he started digging as fast as he could, his smaller paws going in the smaller deeper bottom. He did not stop to think of where the dirt went; he just threw it where it went. The farmer, they had to get her out before the farmer came with the spitting stick. (( ooc: ))

Chaos had broken out somewhere behind her, the scratching and thumping of several rabbits stopping and then fading. Something had undoubtedly happened. She almost paused out of instinct, but the bobbing of Anis’s tail in front of her was slipping out of her sights, and she could not afford to lose her. Whatever had happened, whatever the situation was, Snakeroot was sure it could be handled without her. At this point, she was too far from the bins to be of much help anyway.

Gun loaded, the farmer stumbled out of the house a second time, but now. Now he had his shotgun. Rabbits were all over the field, and for a moment he debated letting loose his dog, which still barked and strained against his chain. Couldn't use a dog-bitten rabbit for stew though.
And with that in mind, he took aim...

Hearing the whip-snap of the wire locking around Betony's neck, Raven forgot her flayrah and darted straight to her team mate's aid. "UGH FRITH DAMN IT ALL!" She bit her lip in anger before sniffing around the snare for a way to get her free, "Don't bite the wire" her eyes fell on the wooden peg and she remembered something she'd heard once, "Don't struggle Betony! It will only cut through you faster!" she grasped her teeth around the wooden peg and tried pulling it with all her might. ((I assume she can pull at it while the others dig... ? ^_^ ))

Don't struggle? Normally that was difficult advice for Betony to follow, but it was so much easier to just lie there...

Kalei's ears stood stock-straight at the sound of the clicking gun. She turned with fearful eyes to see where it aimed.
