Short IC Response: Disillusion found himself making his way to the Star's shrine once more, it was littered with the offerings of others who had placed their hopes in the fickle star.
His ear twitched back as he glanced around, making sure to only come to the shire in the dead of night, his breath coming out in hot steamy puffs as he dropped his offering. A small delicate skull, using his own fangs he ripped a chunk out of his leg and let his blood pour over the offering. "Here." He growled out, "Now give her back.." He snapped, he wanted to see her again, even if it was only once. He had to tell her, tell her about his mates, to know that she hadn't died, to know that his heart hadnt ached for a reason. He had loved his younger sister, in a way that only she could understand and accept and it tormented him constantly that she may have died regardless of his efforts to protect her, that he had failed her. She wasn't everything to be just right in her life, and if anything is out of place, and isn't immediately perfected, things will become very nasty, very quickly. Of course, being around other Soquili can sometimes be difficult for her because of her habits. It's as though the other Soquili don't realize how disorderly their lives are! While she spends hours a day making sure that her bedding is neither too stiff nor too soft, others just leave their bedding unchecked and sloppy! It's madness! Madness... What a lovely word that is. It's something that other Soquili use to describe Lockes whenever she "snaps". She never remembers what she's acted like, but occasionally there are witness reports, or a whimpering survivor will tell her what had happened. It seems as though the normal way that she lashes out is through beheadings. How gruesome! Still, so long as the error is corrected, is it really all that bad?
It's been more than difficult to get anyone to talk to her as of late. Of course, it was always was a little difficult, but since her reputation for murder has increased, well you can imagine how many visitors she gets. Not even her family comes to see her anymore, which has caused Lockes to become quite distraught, and all the more paranoid for perfection. It had occurred to her just the other day, that while her surroundings, thanks to her attention, were perfect... Well, maybe she was the thing that wasn't. So, what could she do to make herself into her ideal of perfection? She figured the first thing that she could do was to go out of her comfort zone. She's been trying to find a friend for quite some time, but what with rumors of her violent nature, it's been increasingly harder to find anyone who would be willing to give her a chance. So... She's turned to one of her last, fleeting hopes... The Wishing Star.

The perfectionist pony had a streak of paranoia after wishing on the star, not knowing how it would work, or how she would know if it did. In the end, the star faded away, and her life didn't change. But this time, it would be different. This time, she had it all planned out, and she was determined that it would all go well. Please let it go well. She thought as she walked up to the hill, where she could see the wishing star from here. She had brought two precious items with her, each to be used on two separate wishes. She had suspected, that if she made two wishes this time, instead of one, there was a higher chance at success this time around. She pushed the first item forward, her heart twisting a little at the offer she was making to the star, but she pushed through. "H-Hello, Wishing Star. I'm not sure if you remember me, or if everyone's faces just blur together after a while, but my name is Lockes." Some part of her willed her away from the star. She sounded so ridiculous, talking to the sky! Forcing that doubt down, she continued speaking, "Tonight, I come here for two reasons. I need a friend, Wishing Star, but no ordinary friend. I need a loyal companion, who will stick with me through thick and thin. Someone I can confide in and someone who will look at me without judgement, unlike many Soquili do." Again, she nosed the first item forward, until the wishing star shone in its reflective surface. "What I present before you, is my first blade. It's gotten me through hard times, and it's been a great comfort to me, but now... Now I would like to exchange it for someone who can well, speak back to me and understand me on a deeper level than any blade could." She stepped back, looking at the second item. She wanted the Wishing Star to be able to process her first request, before listening to her second one.

She lay the clump down beside the blade, but a small distance away from the metal. She wanted to make sure they were separated. If it's too difficult to find someone like me, such a loyal companion, I would settle for a friend, so long as they were a true friend to me." The mare gave a small sigh, her eyes starting to drift from the star, before snapping back up to look at it. "Be it a mare, a stallion, I don't care! I just want someone-anyone to talk to, so long as they would answer me back in kindness!" The volume of her voice rose and became shakier as it did. She stared with earnest, pleading eyes at the Wishing Star, and then she let out a deep breath. Now it was time to wait, it seemed, and see if either of her wishes would be granted. Walking away, she wondered if she had wished hard enough.

She hasn't been an adult for too long so everything that life has to offer is still so brand new. A purple feather from his mane - he doesn't have much, but he has those - a gift from his sister so long ago. Short IC Response: He knew that his father had made a wish so long ago, to find other children out there in the world, and then low and behold, they found each other. Colt was under the impression he'd never find his father but due to the wishing star, they did. He had spent the majority of his childhood and young adulthood next to his beloved sister, but then one day decided to go off and search for their father. And now, years later, he missed her - Filly. Their mother was a simple mare, and named her children Colt and Filly because it was all she could think of at the time. So they were together, inseparable, until that fateful day where he left. When he heard from his father what he had done, the young stallion knew it's what he needed to do in return. So time after time he'd make his way over to the wishing star alter, smile at it and wish, "I need my sister by my side once again. Please, wishing star, hear me."

Relic leaves one of his bloody scalpels behind as well as one of Jessamine's torn ribbons. Short IC Response: There had been chatter from his grandson on the mysterious powers of this bright star that shone over the land of the Kawani. Relic was of course skeptical but thought to give it a try. He had reconnected with Jessamine after she had run off on him and things were looking a little rosier for their future. It was strange that a star would have the power to grant wishes but who was he to judge.
Relic had set off in the dead of night with a piece of Jessamine's many ribbons wrapped around one of his scalpels. It was a suitable offering. Upon reaching the altar at the crest of the hill though Relic frowned at the cornucopia of other offerings left behind before shaking his head. Almost reverently he scraped away a clear spot and dropped the ribbon covered scalpel. His gaze shot upwards. "Who am I to say that you really work. All I know that is that this time around I want to be able to raise our children together. I want Jessamine to learn that it is alright to be herself. Her beauty and madness ensnared me from the beginning. Our family grows so I could not be prouder of our children but I crave more and I know, deep in my heart, that Jessamine would be surprised, but happy, with more children.

A lock of her hair Short IC Response: Chitsa stared up at the star longingly. The star that her friend was so certain had given her life. She sighed as she watched the others approach and leave their offerings. Having come unprepared, she nipped at her tail, removing a chunk of her hair. Her claws dug into the earth as she set the dark lock down before returning her attention back to the star. She loved Cenotaph dearly, but longed for something more. A deeper connection. She saw what her friend had with her parents and siblings, and envied them greatly. Perhaps, she thought, if the star could bring her to Cenotaph, the star could bring her someone, too. "I... I don't even know how this works... I don't even know how it worked for me..." She sighed, feeling fairly odd. "I care deeply for Cenotaph. But I'd like to care deeply for someone else, too. I'd like it if I had someone who was a little more like me." She smiled awkwardly before taking her leave, allowing the Soquili behind her to take her spot and make their request.

Part of his blue flame Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative? Illuminatus walked up the hill that lead to the overhang. From this very spot his mother and father had come wishing for children. They wrre granted that wish twice. And Illumi knew it was probably selfish of him but he looked up at the dark sky with his green eyes The Wishing Star shining brightly. Taking in a deep breath he lowered his head, placing his lantern on the ground and popping open the case he inserted a piece of bark. When it ignited the dancing flame was light blue just like the one that was in side.
The stallion placed the flame down in offering to the star. The flame was considered part of a souls being once they obtained it. It was a great deed to leave part of it behind like this. "Wishing Star, I'm here looking for a sister. I know I have two out there but they left with my mother. It feels lonely without a sibling to share with now. And I know father is missing his daughters even more then I miss my sisters. Please Wishing Star. Grant me this wish to help me make my family whole." He lowered his head again in thought and then taking up his lantern gave the Wishing Star one last look before turning to go on his way.

Giggling happily the little mare bounced up to the bright star, it looked so happy just like her! Eyes bright Clover settled her offerings among the many others..gently nosing them into place before speaking. "Thank you for even considering giving me a friend all my own star. I hope to have lots of little friends all my own..I'll make my mama goat proud along with my big papa & mama! I'll never be lonely again..if you like my gifts. Bye bye!" Smiling still she gave a little twirl for good luck before bounding back home, where her beloved family slumbered.

A freshly killed deer and a lock of hair from Bastion and Angra Mainyu. Short IC Response: Tell me a little about your couple. What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask for a basket? Bastion dragged the dead deer and laid it before the alter. After hearing Angra about how he wished for a friend and suddenly Bastion appeared gave the halfbreed Kelpie an idea. Thus he brought the fresh kill and the two locks of hair. He stared up at the star and then shook his head. This certainly felt foolish but if this would stop the whining make his best friend happy, he was more than happy to make this wish.
"Okay star. So my buddy told me about how you work to grant wishes for friends. Well surely it works for children too. What I want is a kid. I keep hearing Angra say how he can't meet any female who he deems worthy. He keeps bellyaching that I'm what he seeks in a female. However I'm clearly not female no matter how much he wishes it." He trailed off thinking about how things have been between them, "Well I don't want a kid so it can be his mate. No I want a kid that I can pass off as being ours, even if it's not directly related to Angra. Just a kid that I can fool him with until he does find a female to be his mate. He is so easy to fool... but I still.... care for him." He stopped and dropped the two locks of hair on the kill. Turning away he made his way back to his best friend.
