The best present I ever had, I think would be when I was a wee small child of not even three. My parents sat my older brother and I down and told us we were going to be getting a new baby later that year, which, as the younger sibling, really appealed to me; I wanted someone *I* could teach things, and also maybe push around from time to time. 25 years later, he's the gift that keeps on giving; I met my husband through said little brother, and he's had my back more times than I can count ^^

So, my dad's family is of Scandenavian descent, and Christmas has always been a smorgasbord of Scandenavian food. We have potato sausage, oste kake, krumkake, rommegrot, and even lutefisk (just don't....), but my favorite "Christmas" dish has always been homemade lefse, spread with butter and sugar. Yum!
