"Oh, thank you, Shu. Also, Hello again. It's been a while." He hadn't met with the petite hunter in some time, but was glad she seemed to still have her sunny, warm disposition.
Deciding he probably should be making his way, he noticed someone familiar in the corner of his eye as more and more hunters headed away and towards the Lighthouse.
And this was where he started to actually be able to hear the tail end of what he had no doubt was not a great conversation - which only got worse.
No....he didn't just - dear god no. Mik, you can't just -
The poor unfortunate man was telling him why, though probably with less evidence as to why he shouldn't as he handled the shock of a young man just hitting him up for sex out of the blue like he was a winter escort.
The Life hunter placed a hand on his face and groaned.
This is what happened with father's failed to teach their sons how to handle life.

Mik sighed. "Well that's a shame. Cause I do. But I respect your right to find someone better."
He raised a brow at Micah. "And I just...did? And nothing happened?" he looked confused around himself, as if expecting to be struck down by being smote from above.
"But it'd be nice, because you are nice. I've had lessons! And I know what a fetish is!"

Melody thankfully missed most of that conversation. Most. She barely walked in when she caught the tail end, Mik proudly exclaiming that he knew what a fetish was. She walked over, curious what the hell they were talking about. "Mikael!"
Al didn't hear a damned thing when he popped in. He was just looking for food.

"It's not -- you don't -- " Micah spluttered, reddening. "It's ******** weird! I don't want to know that you've had -- lessons, holy s**t! Too much information! I don't even know you!"

"I know you don't know me silly, this was a way for you to get to know me really well. You can't know someone before you know them, that's just backwards. Besides, I mean you don't even need to know all of me. Just...some?" he nodded.
"But I accept your decline. I won't let it hurt my feelings too much. I am a prince of a kingdom in here." and he tapped his head. "And a wolf in here." and his chest. "But it is a shame, I think it could have been fun."
He didn't seem to let Melody's interruption actually break his stride, fixated on Micah in the moment and simply sidestepping the other hunter for the moment while sexy things were on the line.

"We're not at a pickup bar and I'm not gay anyway," Micah said, sounding a little shrill. At Mik's statement that he was a prince and a wolf, he just ... stared. "Oh-kay," he said, and took a small step back, silently categorizing this guy as not all there.

"Tch, you don't need to be gay." he said as if Micah was the one being really ridiculous. "But all right."
He did give Micah a thoughtful look though. "There are pickup bars?"
He was envisioning some sort of magical weapon which made people more amenable to friendly overtures.

"There are gay bars too," Melody injected into the conversation despite Mik very clearly not inviting her. She pondered why Micah was even bringing up not being gay in the first place but dismissed the thought.
She smiled at Micah brightly, "I didn't realize you two knew each other?"

"That's not -- aaggghh," Micah sputtered, his face going even redder. Why was this guy not going away. "If you wanna just pick someone up for -- for quick sex, there's bars you can go to. Or pay someone," he added with an edge of disdain.
He turned a slightly panicked expression to Melody. "I don't! He just came up and started hitting on me! You know him?" he demanded.

He tried to pretend there was another reason he was around and checked his phone when really he was listening with the kind of morbid curiosity one reserved for seeing car accidents on the highway.

If there was one thing Mik had inherited from Lawrence, it was a very very short temper. He'd been doing well, he was sure he could have talked Micah around left just a little bit longer, after all he was talking about places to go for sex which meant that he knew what it felt like to want it.
And then Melody had to go and ruin it. The look she got was that same detached, flat look she seemed to get far too often from the young man. He didn't return her smile.
"We don't." he said. "I was trying to get to know him." But he seemed to have decided the attempt was over, not about to put himself out there for the mockery of other people than his intended target.
Another thing he'd inherited from his father was inappropriate and spontaneous responses to frustration.
That was why he bent down without warning, gathered up a large snowball and tossed it straight at Melody's face.

Melody's eyes widened with a sort of slow dawning horror as some pieces may have suddenly clicked together in her head. Particularly that Micah was rather blunt at what she had missed, but before she could retreat - Mikael beat her to it and pelted her right in her startled face with snow. She was too shocked to move or even try to retort.

Micah took another step back, then just shook his head and retreated, deciding that he needed to be elsewhere like right now.
Nova made a mental note.

With Mikael deciding to snowball fight right into Melody's face, Melvin mentally made a big X on the stranger for Mik that he would not be a target in the future for him. The only thing in Mik's favor was that he learned something possibly about hitting people from the get-go to sex and that at least the man had confidence. That was something most men trying to date didn't have. He took rejection well.
Putting his phone away, he started to head to the lighthouse where the other hunters were heading.
