Character: Eternal Sailor Athene
Location: H10 to C7
HP: 95/100
Target: Wellspring Guardian
Action: Using his basic-level magic on the Wellspring Guardian to try and mitigate incoming damage
Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: N/A
Enemy HP: N/A

Athene tried to hide a grimace, eyes watering as the crackling energy lanced across his body - but a part of him knew that all things considered that it could have been much worse–

Even though he wasn't sure if 'worse' had come in a size that was quite as large as the armillary sphere construct.

Still he was still standing, as the others around him, and all he could do was keep going and try his best.

He winced as an Earth Page (Blarney) chose that moment to literally fling himself yelling at the sphere, and Athene followed after the Page worried, as he tried to use his senshi magic once more - this time on the armillary sphere.

"Blue Beads of Nazar!"

Quote:
For ORP purposes this magic acts like a shield.

Blue Beads of Nazar:

Drawing on some of his energy, Athene’s magic takes the form of a glowing ball of ethereal, intangible-looking evil eye protector beads that Athene can then direct towards a target within reasonable throwing distance in his line of sight.

If the magic connects and the target has malevolent intentions towards Athene, then the ball will separate into several spiritual evil eye protector beads that surround the target, trapping them within a barrier of beads that has a 1 metre radius.

A trapped target is not actually immobilised - they can still jump, block, or strike with their weapon - but they cannot leave the ring of beads while the magic is active unless they are a corrupted being with the ability to teleport. The beads can also be smashed from the outside and smashing half the beads (about 12 to 15 beads) will break the barrier.

After 25 seconds the beads will glow brighter momentarily and then fade out.

Character: Poe, Page of Mercury
Location: H8
HP: 45
Target: Guardian
Action: Attack
Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: 1d6

The butterfly constructs went down fast, but Poe barely had time to breathe before the whole damn room started lighting up. His attention was drawn to the walls, to the way those crystals glowed brighter and brighter until the crackle of electricity drowned everything else out.

“Oh, that’s never a good sign--” he started, but the guardian’s surge ripped through the chamber before he could finish.

Pain cut sharp across his shoulders and down his arms, and he hissed between his teeth, stumbling back a step. His hands clenched at his sides like he could just shake the shock off, but there was no escaping the static still buzzing over his skin.

“Pfft, yeah, sure,” he muttered roughly, shaking out his arms. “No big deal. Just, you know, lightning trying to murder us. Totally fine.”

He glanced quickly toward Paradise and Cynthus, his heart skipping with concern when he saw Cynthus and heard her shouting her stubborn “I’m okay!” and then glancing back to the guardian itself. It was closer now, easier to reach. Which meant it would be easier to break.

“Alright,” Poe growled, forcing his voice through gritted teeth as he stepped forward again. This time he took his weapon and hurled it at the construct. Only to pause for a moment before shuffling closer to collect it once it clattered to the ground.

“So… I’ll get a real weapon soon, yeah?” he asked, hoping Paradise and Cynthus would have good news for him on that front.

The constructs falling should have felt like a relief, but the sudden glow of the chamber’s crystals and the hum of gathering energy stole it away in an instant. Paradise glanced up at the guardian and its descent, her heart racing as sparks danced across its rings, the roar of power growing until--

The blast knocked her back. She flinched, her crook’s end hitting the floor to keep herself upright as the jolt rippled through her. Her breath hitched, and she had to brace herself just to stay upright.

Not enough to take her out, but enough to remind her that she needed to be careful.

She glanced over to Cynthus immediately, but her niece was already stubbornly roaring out and taking a wild charge. Paradise’s lips twitched despite the ache still buzzing in her limbs. She hoped Cynthus’s fire would never be put out.

She drew her crook back up with steady hands, standing close to Poe. “We’re fine,” she said with full confidence, like if she willed it then it would be true. “She’s fine. We’ve faced worse than lightning.”

Her eyes locked on the Guardian’s glowing core. “Stay close. If it surges again, we should be ready.” And with that, she jumped forward to swing her crook at the heart of the construct.

Location: I9 >I7
HP: 95

Action: Attack

The butterflies fell, but the relief barely lasted before the guardian’s lighting ripped through him. His body jolted, his knees almost buckling, and he grabbed for Amarynthos’s arm to steady himself.

Mary. Still smiling, even with blood on his sleeve. Still a source of Ephesus’s strength and hope. He could feel his chest ache with love and trust.

“I’m okay,” he said quickly, intended for Mary. And for himself. His dads were close, but they had other things to do than protect them. If they were hurt -- if Mary or their friends or anyone else got hurt -- it would be on him and Cynthus, who he also knew had healing magic, to help.

Fear was heavy inside him, but his determination to help was stronger. He raised his scepter again, nodding to Amarynthos as if to prove he was okay. That they were both okay. Then he lobbed another orb of honey at the guardian, hoping it would be enough to help slow it down. He would fight until he couldn’t.

Quote:

Character: Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter
Location: H8
HP: 95
Target: Guardian
Action: Attack
Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: 10 + 1d10 = 14

The guardian’s rings crackled with lightning, and it rippled through him until his breath caught in his chest. He gritted his teeth against the sting and forced his eyes up again, searching for those around him. Amarynthos was still smiling, despite the blood on his sleeve. Ephesus was at his side. His brother, mother, uncle, cousin… all of them seemed okay. They were all upright, still fighting. There was a swell of relief that rose up for at least a short while. He knew it wasn’t over yet.

And then there was Alastor. Restless and sharp-eyed, seeming to shift on his feet like he was ready to jump into the fight. Sessrumnir wouldn’t stop him. His chest ached with a strange pull of wanting. Wanting to reach out, to steady them both, to let Alastor know that he was beautiful and fierce and-- everything. The weight in his chest didn’t dissipate, but it softened some.

“Let’s finish this quickly,” he breathed, words meant only for Alastor. A small nod was meant for Lucien as well.

He raised the stormglass, letting his magic come down in sheets of rain and thunder and lightning. As long as he breathed, he would keep his family safe.

Quote:
Knight Magic: Magic pool of 45 seconds. A thunderstorm erupts within twenty feet of Sessrumnir with a fifteen foot radius, and is heaviest around the immediate area where the magic is directed. Those affected by the magic will experience impaired vision and hearing due to the intense rain, wind, and occasional flash of lightning and crash of thunder. Movement is slowed due to the storm conditions, with the rain and wind being strong enough to knock someone off balance. Effects of the vision and hearing impairment can last longer, depending on player desire. While in the magic, targets can be struck by non-lethal lightning strikes capable of causing a sharp burning or stinging sensation at player discretion, but these strikes can cause lasting burns and other physical impairments depending on player desire. Once the magic ends, the area remains wet, but will dry quicker than natural.

Character: Lucien - Human Form
Location: H8

Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: 1d6

The guardian’s lightning pulsed through the chamber, rattling his bones, his ears flat against the crack of status. Lucien’s hiss was quick and sharp, but he swallowed it down, forcing himself to stand still. Even as the long fur of his tail stuck up oddly in the current of lingering electricity.

“Too easy,” he growled again, eyes narrowing. He hated how quickly it had struck all of them at once. Still, Sessrumnir was already moving, and the others were throwing everything they had at it. Tired or not, he couldn’t linger at the edge of battle. He lunged, claws flashing as he struck.

He landed back on his feet, eyes still narrowed on the guardian, claws flexing again, ready for whatever came next.

Quote:
Mauvian Claws: When struck by these enhanced claws, Lucien’s opponent will feel an itching, decaying sensation around the wound. Black quickly fills the veins surrounding the laceration, giving a horrible sensation as though the area was rotting away. The effects can last for ten seconds if the Mauvian is in their natural form or fifteen seconds if the Mauvian is in their humanoid or Senshi form, and will start to fade soon after, unless the player wants to take extended damage.

Action: Boosting Grieve
Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: Buff 2d6 = 3

The lightning flared, bright enough to blind and loud enough to shake the chamber, but when it passed the expected pain never came. His chest filled with a sudden sharp breath, but he was in no worse shape than before. Protected by someone’s shield.

He didn’t waste time questioning it, but he was grateful.

He followed the sweep of Oort’s key and caught sight of the blue-haired senshi standing ready. Without hesitation, Oberon raised his hand, voice clear despite the tightness in his chest.

“Adventure Beckons!”

The magic surged out from him and into Grieve, carrying strength and boldness with it. He held his ground, braced but steady. They couldn’t falter now, not when they’d made it this far.

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Adventure Beckons
Sailor Oberon calls out his magic and his target gets a large morale boost and soothes minor physical pain, although Oberon is sure it’s just the adrenaline kicking in. As well as becoming more adventurous, his magic may also influence his target to be more careless or rash, especially now that they are not as hindered by some of their physical pain. Lasts about thirty seconds and can use it three times.

Physical pain was something that Kemi had always hated. Always, and now that there had been some, she jerked back from Vilenius, removing her hand from his shoulder. “Okay. No, we need to do something.” There was an edge to her voice and she drew away, not knowing what to really do. Her magic was useless here, against a construct? Something that…presumably had no wants, desires or hopes…she could use physical violence but.

That always came with pain too. Still.

“The sooner we kill this the sooner we can leave.

And moving towards the thing, she aimed a kick, and regretted it instantly.

Ow. Why didn’t she have better shoes?

Character: Lisse, Knight of Lysithea
Location: C8
HP: 100
Target: Guardian
Action: Attacking with magic
Damage Done: 10 + 2 = 12

Lisse wished he was an only child on more than one occasion, sometimes daily. It was just pointless to try and reason with his brother. And this just proved it. He clearly wasn’t experienced enough or something. Or just. His plans were too stupid. But when they had Dering to shield, why was Halle bothering when he could be attacking? It made sense, to Lisse at least, but. What did he know. He was the stupid twin, after all.

The less smart twin? The reckless twin? Whatever.

He kept his face as impassive as he could, though his insides were twisting quite uncomfortably.

Stay sharp. Yeah okay. Lisse closed his eyes for a moment. He was glad that they hadn’t been hit by that attack but…still. It was the principal of the matter.

Looking to Dering, he let out a breath and gave a smile, genuine, in spite of the storm brewing inside. “Looks like things are actually getting gross now, you’ve got my back, yeah? At some point, I hope.” His voice was low, for Dering only.

“I hope my brother will start attacking, you’ve got us covered when that happens, right? I need you!”

He nodded at the blonde and smiled again. “Come on. Let’s do this, yeah?” He sent his own magic towards the thing, pleased that he could be useful, even if others didn’t think so. Recklessness was useful. Sometimes.

Character: Halle Knight of Lysithea
Location: G9
Target:
Action: Shielding centered around Tempesti

The sudden surges of energy that bowled through the area had Halle slamming down the full expanse of his summoned shield, and exhaling with relief that it'd been enough, and in time. Reims looked fine, and he gave a Sports Guy nod in return. They had this.

Looking over at his brother and Dering, he caught only a bit of his brother's quiet words, really only just you've got us covered, which had Halle pause for a moment to reassess the field. The targets were no longer split, but the people fighting still were and the target, while singular, was massive.

Dering really was more than enough to keep them covered, but what about the people on the other side of the fight? He hadn't noticed any shielding magic being summoned. And there was every chance successive attacks would grow more dangerous.

Turning to catch his brother's eye, he grinned and gave a thumb's up, "You're right!" The thumb's up swung over a little to hit Dering with its encouragement, "We're too strong over here. Dering, you take this side, I'll go cover Tempesti." Since it was her world, and her magic was clearly vital for them to progress, she was the most strategically important figure on the field.

Without hesitation, he sprinted full speed toward the eternal, magic pool considerably smaller than when they'd first come here, but still very much at the ready.

Character: Super Grieve of the Collapse
Location: D9

Target: Guardian
Action: casting her super magic
Damage: (13 + 9 from Team Key to Adventure) 22

The pony boy Knight brought down a stupidly large shield that reminded of someone incredibly annoying from a long time ago. Huh. But at least she was on the right side of it this time. She wondered if this one also came with a ********' pig.

Feeling something flying toward her, Grieve snatched it out of the air and took a look at it. A key...and it was filling her with an extra sense of strength, like she was at the threshold of her best and stepping beyond it. Then another senshi was called out, and she felt the power in both the words and the way they resonated within.

Throwing back her head, Grieve cackled madly and flung herself at the outermost ring, giving it a disrespectful slap. The Guardian didn't really have the anatomy for someone to take that kind of attitude with it, but where there's a nasty will, there's a nasty way.

"Uh!! Yeah let's...let's be careful!" She clapped her hands and cheered, "Let's-let's be careful!" Because maybe her buddy should be a little less aggressive. He was fighting like it may all come down to him, lying broken on the ground. In the rain. Really determined and cool! But.....!!

Well, maybe they should talk.

Character Name: Dering, Knight of Lysithea
Location: C8
HP: 100
Target: C8/C9 [keeping an eye on Reims+Lisse]
Action: Preparing shielding magic for the next attack/timing his shield
Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: N/A

When Halle darted across the field, Dering’s face was blank for a few seconds before rapidly replaced with one of confusion, and he opened his mouth as if he might have meant to protest. It wasn’t that Halle was wrong–not by any stretch, just that–well, he’d already done such a good job protecting them. And if he was gone, if Dering’s magic faltered, if he couldn’t–

He’d been careful with how much of the magic he’d been spending. He knew he had some left. He lived in perpetual worry that he’d run out and this enemy–like many that he’d been encountering recently–was impossible to predict. He couldn’t tell if they were doing damage to it, or if they were even accomplishing what Tempesti had set out to do. He didn't know how much more they needed to do to stop it, or how long they'd have to hold out to do so. He didn't want to needlessly waste his magic, not if he needed to ration it out carefully.

The grip on his lute tightened and Dering stood up straighter, sucking in a very deep breath. His fingers glided over the strings again, tense.

Reims told him to stay sharp. Lisse needed him to have his back. Halle told him to take this side.

There was an expectation that Dering would maintain shielding here in Halle’s absence, and though he didn’t want to admit it, he was relieved to at least have a clear purpose. He should have thought to move, to help someone else. Amarynthos had blood all over him. Ephesus could heal, but–

It wasn’t that it hadn’t occurred to him to leave–he just couldn’t imagine straying too far from Reims, or Lisse. He didn’t know what he’d do if anything happened to any of his friends, but how would he explain to Talia, or Evan, if he let something happen to them?

Well–no, nothing was going to happen to them. His fingers felt strangely stiff already; he could feel the strings burning beneath his fingers as he rapidly strummed, not quite channeling his magic yet but not wanting to miss a split second where he might need to. He played softly; his music didn’t have to be loud. It just had to be present.

Quote:
TL;DR: misty unicorn shield 15’ x 15’ radius

Magic: Dering begins to pluck at the strings of his lute and a cool mist begins to spread in a fifteen foot radius around him. Hazy shapes begin to manifest in the mist and quickly takes the form of several ethereal unicorns that begin to trot in a circle near the outskirts of the mist. It can be difficult to make out their forms, but the mist swirls around them and the faster Dering plays, the quicker they move. The unicorns do not attack or stray from their path; they protectively encircle Dering and any allies within his radius. These unicorns can block physical attacks his level or lower by taking the blow instead, but higher level attacks will turn the unicorn into mist. Magical attacks will pass through them, but the mist makes it almost impossible to pinpoint where anyone is inside. Anyone Dering trusts can pass through the circle of unicorns, but everyone else will be blocked by the rushing unicorns. Any contact with them will push someone back unless otherwise plotted; players can choose to take blunt force damage if they like. His magic will move with him, and he can channel his magic for up to 60 seconds.

Character Name: Eternal Sailor Alastor, Senshi of Despair
Location: H8
HP: 95
Target: Guardian
Action: Using rot/draining magic
Damage Done: 10 + 9 = 19

Alastor laughed when the lightning struck him. It wasn’t dramatic, despite his affinity for such, it was simply as if the shock of it was so much less than he was expecting, he couldn’t help but find humor in it.

But then, only a few months ago he’d felt the full force of the Calamitous Hollow’s lightning tearing through him. His expectations were greatly distorted, and the burst of energy did more to ignite his spirit than it did batter his body.

Oh, how badly he wanted to run up to the thing, how he wanted to dig his fingers into the metal, peel back the layers, see how quickly he could dismantle it, how deeply he could crawl into it before he tore out its core. Did Tempesti want to save this one? He shouldn’t.

No, he still had magic. The boys were okay, the Gallos, the extended family, they looked okay. Sessrumnir, Lucien–he could keep tabs on all of them. Or, he could just use his magic and try to finish this quickly.

Quote:
TL;DR Rot magic/sickness/despair

As Alastor casts his magic, all enemies within a twelve foot radius will suddenly feel flushed with heat, as though they are at the peak of sickness. They may feel winded, feverish, fatigued, or disoriented, and an itchy, sometimes painful black rash will spread across them, starting at their appendages and working towards their heart. The sickness seems to turn blood black, creating frightening sights as the skin discolors. This sudden surge of sickness may cause panic or alarm, as their bodies may feel as though they are rapidly shutting down. Despair consumes them, as if there is no hope for recovery or any means to ease their symptoms. The magic lasts for thirty five seconds and has two uses. The magic will only affect those in the area when it was cast. Players may choose the severity of their symptoms or if there are any lasting effects.

Character: Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon
Location: I9
HP: 95
Target: Guardian
Action: Attacking with Magic to see if it does damage
Damage Done: 10+3 = 13?

When Ephesus shuddered, Amarynthos immediately moved closer, half-curling his body around him to dually shield and stabilize him. It was a short lived embrace, because they couldn’t afford excess comfort mid-battle.

“Just okay?” Amarynthos asked, not quite teasing. “You look like you’re doing really well to me, Effie! I’m worrying much less about you than Cynthus,” he said, although her enthusiasm was commendable.

Amarynthos had the option to run towards the greater construct, to hit it as hard as he could in the same manner as Cynthus. He also had the option to draw out his summon, but he thought a giant bear might be a bit too distracting right now so he avoided it. For now.

Truthfully, he felt a strange wave of cold flood him, and he wasn’t sure if it was a drop in adrenaline or something else. His arm felt cold but it didn’t look like it was bleeding anymore, but his sleeve stuck to him and he couldn’t tell if the red had spread more or if he just hadn’t taken enough time to really examine it.

“I’m going to try my magic on it,” he said, hooking his arm around Ephesus’ waist, partly for Effie, partly for himself. He didn’t think he was dizzy, probably, but just in case, he thought it might help to give himself a moment to steady himself.

Quote:
TL;DR Magic makes target hypercritical of themselves but has symptoms of stress/aches+pains/racing heart/irritability or anxiety / it’s okay if it doesn’t do damage since it is emotion/organic based! He’s still trying

Knight Magic: Moonlight sparkles in the air around Amarynthos and all enemy targets within fifteen feet will feel enlightened; they will become hypercritical of their flaws and shortcomings, and may rapidly be filled with regret for instances where they failed in the past. The forced introspection can be incredibly distracting and make targets feel overwhelmed and unable to interact with the present. They may suffer physical symptoms of stress, such as aches and pains, a racing heart, dizziness, exhaustion, or even anxiety or irritability. The magic can be channeled for up to 60 seconds; the circle will move with Amarynthos but if characters leave the radius the effects will fade. Players can choose to take lasting damage if they prefer, but otherwise all symptoms will fade when the magic is no longer being channeled.

Action: Attacking with Kemi
Damage Done: 6

Wait, what? Oh–Kemi was moving.

Vilenius stood still for a moment, and didn’t want to admit that at some point something had zapped him. If he hadn’t been so offended, he might have sputtered an indignant noise of pain, but the surprise benefitted him enough to spur him to action. He could still make out Kemi’s form.

“Wait, wait,” he said stubbornly, but he didn’t wait for her, he trailed afterwards quickly, almost frantically, like some greater forced had spurned him to action. He could make out the color in her uniform easily, even when the other colors were blending together. He could see a big metal thing, and he shoved into it, taking only a split second to rake his nails down it. It had enough texture, he probably could have climbed it–but for what?

No, he was happy here, on the ground, and after his first blow, he shuffled backwards, shoulders bumping Kemi’s once more.
