Someone will probably have to lock me outta this thread one day... ha
-so far im pissed bc my friend is at work and not home -because i live 600 miles from the one person i could see myself with (for the past 3.5 years or so and probably ongoing) -my dad's on day shift so i have to put up with him every night now instead of just coming home after he leaves -the person i was trying to hook up with here is completely non responsive to anything i do in terms of making a move -i havent had enough sleep (by my standards) in about a month -school isnt out yet -oh yeah and i cant fit my subs in my truck!!
im sure theres something im overlooking those are just the general things that made me want to break things today.

Well, for two years now I have struggled, without satisfaction, and have been unable to solve the problems which have continually bothered me. So it is just moments ago that I have decided I need to see a psychologist, that I cannot solve this on my own, despite the heartfelt assistance of everyone I've asked.
Now I am trying to figure out how to do this. I don't know who I could ask to make a reference, a suggestion I mean for who might best assist my particular problem. I don't know if I should see a psychologist who is independent, or if I need to go to my doctor and have him refer me to one, or if any insurance is going to cover this, or what.

It really depends on your insurance sad to say. Basically you can call your Dr's office and ask who they refer to. But they might want to see you for a referral. Or you can read your insurance plan, that might be an option.

I hope things go well for you, Dave. Your doc is a good place to start, and if they happen to refer to to someone that isn't covered by your insurance, you can try asking the psychologist for a list of names. A lot of them understand that insurances don't cover everybody, and so a lot will keep a list of names handy.
Speaking of which, my insurance sucks. The plan I have won't allow me more than one box of syringes at a time (I'm diabetic, so I kinda need them), on the hopes that I won't need more than that one box at a time. Which might work, if it were not for the fact that I take anywhere from 3-6 or more shots a day, which means I have to get it refilled twice a month. Wouldn't be so bad, if not for the fact that they are keeping a close eye on how much my meds cost, and I am already close to the halfway point before they stop paying. Grrrr. Oh, well. At least I am past the point of them asking, "Well, can't se go without for a few days?"

Quote: Office Visit & Test Summary Therapy Medical term: Psychotherapy One Visit Description: Standard charge for one psychotherapy visit with a therapist Costs by Specific Service* Here are estimated costs for Therapy. How were these costs calculated? Estimated In-Network ? Estimated Out-of-Network ? Estimated Total paid by Benefit Plan and Consumer $110.74 $145.00 Estimated Paid By Benefit Plan $99.67 $101.50 Your estimated out-of-pocket costs*(after deductibles are met) $11.07 $43.50 I see the format got ruined - nevertheless - what I was trying to share was that an in-network therapist would cost me about $11, and an out-of-network would cost me about $44. So I think what I need to do is choose a general practice doctor, schedule a checkup, and then talk to him about where I might go.

If it makes you feel better, starting really soon I only get one day off, as long as my boss at CSC agrees to it.

People need to have the ability to walk a couple of yards to cross the street in a pedestrian crosswalk & not just walk across and expect drivers to stop for them. Can you believe it? There's a new law in Hawaii. If a pedestrian doesn't use the crosswalk, crosses the street, AND gets caught by a cop, they are fined $70. If a driver doesn't yield pedestrians, they are fined $90 something. PATHETIC.

Exes need to calm down. There's nothing like an ex gf going off on you 'cause...well I'm not sure why. But she's pissed, and apparently it's my fault, and I don't see why. Sometimes I wish these things made more sense.

I wish you women made more sense mad D
On a side note, I'm ranting about my impatience. Especially when it comes to finding a date/potential gf. I'm impatient irl, and I'm impatient in this dating website I go to, and blah.

Women should make more sense. As it is...well, I don't think they could get any more confusing. lol

you didn't fall down, you were shoved!
And I'm sure us guys make not so much sense to you women either! It'd be nice to have women make more sense, but I think that's part of the fun and the nice thing about having a relationship/friendship with women/opposite sex/significant other; trying to figure each other out and stuff.

I actually get along better with men than women. I have my share of female friends, but most women...scare me. They make, like, no sense whatsoever to me. O_o I'm probably the only chick in history who has made a girl run out of a room, crying, and followed her saying, "But what'd I do?" lol. Women make very little sense to me, and I guess that's sad. And I might have some idea now as to why my ex is pissed at me, but I'm not sure and it's still confusing.
