Xue-Lien looked at the fae leave. She was happy but also frightened. She kneeled down and hugged the closest persons foot, tears streaming from her face rapidly. Where's mom? She thought angrily.

Hisakata searched fustrated. She had not been able to find Xue-Lien, and she was angry. "Xue-Lien?" SHe gasped. No, it wasn't her. She bent down and cried.

Cordain and Nekura eventually arrived back at the inn making thier way to thier room. Moments later they emerge out back behind the inn in training clothing with practice swords.

"Alright, from now on Nekura, you will have to obey me if you wish to train. Everything we do from now on will be part of the training." Cordain states as he turns to Nekura.

"Fine, I will obey and do as I am told if that makes me strong enough to remove those two fae that took Absalom." Nekura responds in a cold, flat tone, "I like them less than you and do not want them around."

"Awwww...You're starting to care Nekura, that's so sweet." Cordain responds with a smirk as he brings his shinai up, "alright...come at me and we'll see where we need to start."

Hisakata looked around, not sure. SHe was not sure exactly what happened. Something was telling her to go back into the village but she wanted to find Xue-Lien. SHe kept moving on without knowing where she had to go.

Kizzy slumped over forward and whined. "I'm tired of bein out here! I wanna go home!"
Sai firmly took her little hand and turned towards Mayor Chiaku. "Since all of the children are safe, we should probably head towards the village. We've all been through so much." Rubbing Kizzy's hand Sai looked about the group. She wasn't quite sure how many other villagers were still lost in the forest, but in Sai's honest opinion the children were in no condition to be part of any search party.

Nodding in response to Sai's suggestion, Chiaku made an announcement to the gathering of Astora villagers. "Everyone, we are going to attempt to return to the village," she declared. "Please travel closely together so no one gets lost. With a group of this size, we will also want to attempt to avoid making noise and attracting unwanted attention."

After the group began moving slowly through the thick forest, the governess proceeded to speak privately with Toshihiko.

"Sir Toshihiko," she said, "please take care with your son. We don't know what has happened to him, but it will probably be necessary within the next few days that we keep a cautious eye on him. Please speak to him about the incident...If he is willing to supply information, we'll want to know to prevent this sort of disaster again in the future."

Faevan, Dio and Shin followed along closely behind the other villagers, Shin'd hand clutched tightly in Faevan's. He held the new seedling carefully in his free hand, his eyes watching the gently swaying of the petals. She wondered for a moment if they should inform Lady Chiaku of the child, but as she looked up, cold grey eyes boring into the woman's back, she decided that her family should hold their tongue. Soon they would be home, and their buisness would once again be their own. Faevan had had quite enough of the villagers as a whole.

Kizzy looked around at the dull repetative scenery and sighed. Who knew how long it'd be before they would be out of the forest. She ran to the front of the group, turned around and started to walk backwards while looking at the other villagers. Suddenly a little plant caught her eye, a little berry plant being carried. Sliding over to Shin's side she oggled at the plant. "So, are ya plannin' ta make fruit pancakes with dat?" Kizzy asked a little hungrily.

Shin looked up at the unfamilar voice, his eyes wide.

"N...no. This isn't for eating." He said quietly, holding the seedling a bit further away from the loud girl. "This is my little brother or sister." Shin stated matter of factly, his leafy head nodding. Quietly, he looked the girl up and down. She seemed sharp. Sharp and loud. He took a step closer to his aunt, never taking his eyes off the other girl, lest she try to eat the precious bundle in his hands.

"Who are you?" He asked, letting his curiosity get the better of him.

"I am Kizzy. I live in da Inn," she proclaimed with a matter-of-factly voice. Forgetting her tired feet and rumbly tummy Kizzy started out with a flurry of questions. "Who are you?" She poked at his wing feeling the leaves. "Ya' is very green. Is dat yer hair? When is yer berry gonna be someone? If she likes pancakes I'll let her play with me!" Kizzy grinned at the purple seedling.

Shin stared at the girl, his mouth agape at the fulrry of sound eminating from her. He waited for her to finish, taking a moment to absorb everything she had just said.

"I'm Shin." He offered, a bit shy after the verbal assault. He freed a hain, touching the leafy protrusions from his scalp. "Hair? I...I guess this is my hair. And I don't know what she's going to be." He rested his hand back on the seedling's pot. "I think it might like pancakes more than it would like being one." Shin offered with a little smile.

Faevan looked down at Shin, who had begun lagging behind a bit. She was so distracted in her thoughts that she didn't see that they had been joined my a fourth person. Faevan remembered the child, wailing at the inn one day while she was making a delivery. Kizzy, was that her name?

"Don't wander too far, you don't want to become lost again." Faevan warned softly, breaking into the conversation. Her grey eyes scanned the crowd, searching for the child's guardian.

"I'm not getting lost! Mother's right up dere!" She pointed to the front.

Sai quickly doubled back a bit and walked to the side of Kizzy to keep an eye on her. She smiled at Faevan and Dio and bowed slightly. "My name is Sai, I hope Kizzy's hasn't bothered you."

"Anyways!" Kizzy sniffed indignantly turned her attention back to Shin. "Where do ya live?"

Faevan looked at Sai, remembering where she had seen her before. "No, she's not bothering us." Faevan ground out, trying her best to be polite. "I believe we've met before at the Forested Fae Inn." Faevan wasn't very good at small talk, but she was trying her best.

I live with my Papa at the goar ranch." Shin said, but stopped to think a bit. "But I've been staying with my Aunt at her farm lately." Shin looked up at Faevan, who gave him a small smile and ruffled his leafy head. Her eyes grazed Kizzy again, growing a bit harder.

"Oh, yes! I work there as the maid. And Kizzy'll be able to help out now that she's old enough." Sai smiled softly at her daughter who was engrossed with the little boy.

"Is there much ta do there? At da Inn dere's lotsa diffrent people! An whatsa goat? Is it tasty?" Kizzy squinted and peered intently at Shin's eyes. "If it's not tasty I prolly won't care for em! They sound too.... tooo.... goaty!" She nodded impressed with her self. Such wize words she spoke.

Carol Nawali

PostPosted: Tue Mar 15, 2005 8:05 am

Carol rolled over on her side causing one of the twigs beneath her to snap under her weight. The noise cracked in her ear and she woke up, using her arms to push herself to a sitting postion.

Brining a delicate hand to her left eye she rubbed it in a careful way trying to rid the world of its current hazzyness. "W-where am I?" she asked aloud, alowing a small yawn to escape from her lips.

Slowly the forest became clear enough for her to see that she was, in fact, in the area the "monsters" as sheliked to call them, had appered. She slowly looked back and forth and seeing no one was around got up and ran a hand through her mangled mess of hair. "that's right" she murmered to herself and beat her vlothes free of any dirt. "I'm...still in the forest"

She looked around more carefully this time checking each tree then finnally found the small "C" carved in a tree and walked in its direction, following the trail, wondering hpw far the villagers had gone, and if they were back in there village or looking for others. "'bout to find out" she told herself as she kept her eyes trained on the trail
