"Booyah! two breakfasts, coming up!" Smiling brightly & lovingly at Naruto she set about making scrambled eggs & toast, pouring them each glasses of milk & juice while doing so & sining lightly along with "Real Emotion". Rikku ignored Aear's laughter about the ninja being hungry as best she could. After all, Naruto was always hungry.

"Breakfast's served!" Setting the food at the table for them Rikku kissed Naruto cheek before she slid into a seat beside him. When Liliana jumped into her lap. She stroked the little crimson kitsu absently as she started to eat. Aiden kept an eye on them but Aear waved a paw & took Lil'Soot & Talagand back to the main room to play.

Smiling gently at Lily's tiny gold & black wings under her fingers Rikku suddenly had a thought. "Where's Remus?"

Liliana mewed in a soft way almost like crying. Aiden's golden eyes pierced her & Rikku felt guilty not having known even before he spoke. "He's a' Moochi's, carin' fer Relm an' Keme." The highlander answered, just as a shadow fell across the open doorway. "Not any longer, Aiden. They recover admirably." Lily jumped from Rikku's lap & ran to nuzzle her daddy, purring loudly. "Well, tha's good te hear, laddie."

The Al Bhed could only stare, mouth agape, fork half raised to her mouth. What could possibly have happened to Keme & Relm?

Remus sighs, clearly exhausted. His daughter nuzzles him reassuringly. "From what I gathered from Morgana they were out all night & possibly the afternoon in the cold with far too little protection from the elements." He sighed again. "They were resting when I left them. I will tell Trelweny & then sleep myself."

"No need, Remus. I heard." The young widow stepped into the room, Theron on her hip. The child squealed with delight seeing Naruto & Trelweny set him down to allow him to run to the ninja. She smiled softly at the lovers, knowing glance in her eyes. "I didn't want to wake you. They arrived at Moochi's late in the night, Keme passed out, Relm nearly so." Locke wondered in bleary eyed, a concerned Amaryllis trailing him closely. "From what I gathered before Keme passed out Relm ran away from him." Tien flew in, landing on Locke's head & clinking to the green ears singing sleepily. "Ahm.... ahm ahm..." "Yeah. What Tien said. Though I dunno if the poor guy heard Relm's confession before passing out."

"Wait..." Rikku knew enough kunkunese to get by most of the time & the word Tien sang was one she knew well. Still her head swam with everything they were telling her. "So they're sick, getting better & Relm is in love with Keme?!?"

Trelweny looked up from where she was making breakfast for Theron. "So it would seem." "She would not let Yuna or I move her from his side."

"No one could have known..." Trelweny comments, as if picking up on the unspoken thoughts. She smiles as her son throws himself into the shinobi's arms with a cry of "UpupUp, Ruro!" Ever nearby, his jivvin bond watched with sparkling purple eyes, grown slightly now from ust to drada & fluttering her sienna hued wings. "They left happy, didn't they? It was only later something happened to change that."

Rikku was still in shock. "Relm's in love with Keme?" SHe squeaked. Sure she had been the one to see them sleeping in Relm's bed the other day but she had been more centered on wanting her shinobi beside her that Rikku had not given the matter any further thought. At Locke's nod & Tien's cheerful "SekSekSek!" the Al Bhed dropped her fork on her plate with a clatter. A soft huff can be heard from the doorway, but Rikku does not look up to see the witch GaiaCom leaning there wtih her arms folded across her chest. "So it would seem."

Remus inclined his head. "I'm going to take a nap in the library. Myranda will you keep watch on the communicator board & let me know when Ginny checks in so I can apparate Trelweny over." at the GaiaCom's nod of acquiescence Remus & Liliana padded off.

Trelweny smiled sleepily as she set Theron's food on the table. Seeing it, the toddler exchanged his squeals of joy for mixture of baby babble & learning English as he reached for it. "Aam Aam ee-egg." Without a word Aiden moved the highchair around the table so he could either help Naruto get the two & a haalf year old into his seat or do it himself.

"Eat up you two. When Ginny calls, you can come after on the hover-cycle to check on them yourselves." She smiled as Rikku wordlessly lifted her fork. "Oh! And Good Morning, Naruto. It's nice to have you with us for breakfast."

Aiden smiled gently at the ninja. "Thank ye, laddie." Catching the ninja audio's eyes as she set scrambled eggs & a spill-proof sippy of juice down for Theron the human woman smiled almost sternly. "None of that now. Guilt's too dark. Muddles the air." The sternness left as if it had never been. "Besides, we chose not to disturb the two of you with the news." Her eyes sparkled knowingly, not quite hiding the hint of tears as she looked away.

"Aye. An' mayhap t'was fer th' best... Relm's a lass tha' wouldnae see tha' wha' she thought she wanted wannae th' righ' thing fer her wit'out a strong wake up call." The highlander's voice was full & tender as he spoke of their sister, softening the harsh reality of his words. "I cannae ken if this will be enough fer her. An' I pray t'will be a quick recovery fer both."

Rikku sipped her juice in wonder. So you're saying... she really wants Keme??? I mean... I thought they'd be good together way back, but Relm wanted someone so different.... wow.

Trel & Aiden nodded, and Trelweny began to sing softly under her breath. "If I found the place... would I recognize the face?..."

Rikku blinked at Naruto, a bright smile slowly blossomed. Lifting their joined hands she rubbed the back of his hand to her cheek & looked at him through partially hooded sparkling eyes. "Or what you weren't even searching for." For Rikku had not been looking for love herself at all.

"Something's telling me it might be you... yes it's telling me it might be you... got a feeling it'll just be you... all of my life." As her eyes watered Aiden reached over to pat her on the shoulder. "Aiden would you...?" "Aye, lassie." "Thanks." With a shaky smile she waved. "You & Keme are always welcome here, Naruto. I'll... see you guys later."

Rikku kissed the fingers of his hand on hers gently shaking her head as Aiden answered. "Nay, laddie. She tries so hard te be happy fer us... an' she really is happy fer our happiness... "

"But she misses Timex." Locke spoke up from where he had almost dozed in his breakfast on the floor. Amaryllis mewed softly beside him.

The green cat... older than Theron & the only one to remember Trelweny's spouse stood. Lifting himself he put his front paws on Naruto's lap to talk to him better. "Most of the time she is... at least somewhat. She loves us... but we're just not her mate, ya know?" Rikku snuggled against Naruto's shoulder as Locke hopped into his lap, circling around to lay down. He really had not enough sleep yet this morning. "It's harder for her when she sees couples. Almost more now than when his passing was still fresh. She sees &..." He looked at Aiden, for help with the right words, but it was not the fae audio that came to his aid.

"And now she is torn: whether to move forward and find a new love or remain loyal to Timex for eternity as she always intended." The GaiaCom Myranda's usually scowling face was soft. "No good telling her Timex wouldn't want her to be alone. Hell, I know- he programmed me." She snorted lightly, with none of her usual disdain. "She's got to find her own peace with it." Then Myranda laughed, a wicked little sly smile touching her coral lips. "But I bet if I can find the right gently persistent male that I deem worthy she might come around."

Even Amaryllis rolled her eyes with the others. The GaiaCom's dislike & distrust of most males was well known in their family. "If we wait for one you deem worthy we'll be waiting longer than we would for Trel to find her own way." Rikku giggled, accidentally nibbling gently on Naruto's finger while she tried to keep her giggles quiet.
