"Master Ravioty, if you just stand behind Caleten. Don't want you to slip." N'tren nodded and moved past Caleten. He was used to having to haul himself up onto the bronze.
Climbing up, he stopped at what would be considered Datiath's knee. Carefully, he leaned down and offered Caleten his hand. Bracing himself, he told her. "Use your good arm to pull up and leave the other limp. Don't worry if you tumble into Datiath, you can't hurt him."
It takes much to hurt me. I will not let you fall. Datiath reassured her.
Making sure he was in good position and had his weight settled right, N'tren looked down at Caleten and waited. He knew that she would move at her own pace.

Master Ravioty did one better, he picked Caleten up and handed her over to N'tren. The playful bat on the side of the head that he recived from the young lady just made him laugh.
Caleten let out a very girlish 'eep' when she was suddenly picked up, but the look on her face afterwards warned off laugther at it. Now, using her foot to push her up by the old man's offered hand, she just needed N'tren to pull her the rest of the way and keep her stable as she got seated on Dataith.
She did respond to the dragon, 'This is humilating, I should be able to do this on my own.' It wasn't that she wasn't greatful for the help, but it was still bothering her that she needed someone to help her. It was cute when she was a baby and being put on a runnerbeast by her father, now she was a grown lady!

N'tren laughed and made sure no weight went into Caleten's arm as he pulled her up and into him/Datiath. He blushed for a moment before moving so that he could help her up the rest of the way. Gently, N'tren placed Caleten where she needed to be so she could get comfortable on Datiath.
Just enjoy it. Datiath told her and he waited for her to finish mounting up. It is not often one gets to be spoiled.

Caleten used N'tren's help, and when she was on the dragon, she moved her legs so she could sit comfortably. Now, she was ready, well mounted. With N'tren's body heat at her back, she'd once again be held by a male. Though, he really wasn't as disturbing, the thought of it, as it was with anyone else. That trust thing again, she really was starting to see that at least N'tren, was not to be put in the same category as the other entire smile ball men, him and Mr. Ravoity are exempt from that category.
'I don't think I even know how to be spoiled.' Her response to Datiath was honest; she really didn't think she knew how to handle it.
Waving to the old man she yelled to him as he retreated, "Good bye, Mr. Ravoity!" Then looking over her shoulder at N'tren, she told him, "I am ready." Then as a final signal, she called Gem to her.
The little gold flew in a few more aerobatic movements, trilling before she flew to Caleten's good shoulder and sat her claws keeping her hooked as well as the tale around her neck. The little gold was careful never to hurt her friend.

N'tren rested himself against Caleten's back. His hands were loose about her waist as he waited for her to settle. The young man was once again happy. Splotch settled onto N'tren's shoulder and chirped happily to Ravioty, Caleten and pretty much every one and everything around him.
"Take care, Master Ravioty! It was good meeting you." Waving to the old man, he gave Datiath a good thump. Time to go now.
Be prepared. I am leaping and then we are leaving and going /between/. We will be home. You will be with us. Datiath told Caleten. And bunching himself up, he launched himself upward and with a good sweep of his wings, was skyward.

Caleten didn't tense up this time, when he held loosely to her. Instead, she was relaxed and allowed him to hold on to her and rest against her back. The warmth of the sun helped a great deal in coaxing a full out smile on herface as they lunched into the sky. 'Home' she repeated Datiath in her mind. Finally she told him 'I am prepared, I have waited turns to go home.' With N'tren and Dataith and even little Splotch, she knew she would not be alone.
Taking in the warm air as it brought the warm kisses from the sun, she breathed in her old life and let it go. Read, she waited for the coldness of /between/ and the sight of her new home.
