Lucia sat back on her rump to give her paw a rest, but she was somewhat amazed when Vana started circling around her and then rubbed his head under her chin. A blush went on her face again, a glassy look went into her eyes as new feelings started bubbling up and she nuzzled the top of his head reassuringly, purring gently. When he nosed her paw, she didn't wince the pain all but gone now, which meant nothing was broken or sprained or scrapped. "I'm fine Vana, really I am." she whispered softly.

Satisfied the she really was fine Vanafindon looked up at her soft whisper with a sheepish grin. "Right. Yeah. I knew that."
Licking at her paw -once, twice- his blue eyes suddenly went wide. He stopped, then scrunched back and away from her two steps. Everywhere on one side of his body & his head tingled pleasantly from where they had touched, Embarrassed, Vana looked away, off the direction they had been running. He glanced back at Lucia once then quickly turned away, heart pounding. Was it fair she looked even more wonderful tussled?
"eh... is there a lake between here & your home?"

Unfortunately, when he pulled away like that, it felt like something was breaking, a sharp pain in her chest. So she had been wrong all this time. He didn't want her, he didn't even want to touch her! 'I knew it....I'm not good enough for anyone...' she thought to herself. But she didn't let her hurt show though, not wanting him to pity her. She flashed him a smile, Yea, there is, but I really should be heading home now, daddy is probably worrying." she said, standing up and flapping her wings so she could take off, "I'll be sure to bring the others over to Trelweny's place so we can see her and the eggs!"

Wait... she was leaving? His head shot around, blue eyes awash with a mixture of emotions. "Wait, you're going?"
His voice ached. Vana stood, not slunking now, and pranced on nervous paws beside her. Blue eyes begged softly. "Let me... let me see you home?"
He felt like a kit... and just continued in a rambling way, an attempted joking tone lacing his otherwise sad & dejected voice. "Even if your dad & brother pummel me for letting anything happen to you..."
Kitsu gods but he wanted to touch her again! "M... maybe I can help you get cleaned up first..."
Did he say that? But he could not just let her go... could he? If she took off Vana knew it would take everything in him not to try to hold her, to keep her with him. Yet he also knew he would never hold her against her will. If Lucia wanted to go... he would simply have to deal with that.

She wanted to believe him. She wanted to believe he wanted her there with him, to spend more time with him. But him pulling away like it burned him to touch her hurt too much. She wouldn't be a practice Kitsu for when he found someone more exotic to dote on.
"N-no, I can get home on my own, I've done it before. I'm a big Angelic Vana, I'll be fine." she said, still smiling, refusing to let him see her heart break. Probably when she got home, she could find Morgana and finally cry her eyes out like she desperately wanted to.
She started lifting off the ground, blowing grass around as she gained more altitude.

"Wait!! Wait!!! Lucia!!" His heart lurched within him and Vana lunged for her, pulling back at the last instant before contact. No! He couldn't just tackle her like he would his brother. She was too perfect. And she loved freedom.
Freedom from me...
He coughed as the grass blew around from her wings, mixed with dust kicked up from her tumble. Blocking his head from the debre Vana spotted at last the rock that must have been what hurt her and glared daggers at the thing through shielded eyes. She was not high up. He could catch her...
Instead he shook himself and started running. He must have done something... what could it have been? Everything had been so perfect... enjoying time with the most perfect creature in all existence. He must have done something. "Lucia, I'm sorry! Whatever I did I'm sorry! Please... please..."
The lone twin -feeling loneliness & despair descend upon him- didn't notice the tears coursing from his eyes.

Lucia looked down when he called for her and she was suddenly confused when started towards her. She didn't understand, why would he want her around when he couldn't even stand touching her? Seeing his tears, it caused her own tears to start running down her face and she suddenly felt frustrated, "What do you want from me Vana?! I know I'm not good enough for you, that you can't stand to touch someone like me, but don't think I am going to stick around while you use me as an experiment on how you want to be with the one you want!!" she yelled out loudly, to upset to stay up in the air anymore and she flopped back down to the ground, sobbing softly. Unfortunately, someone from above saw the interaction and it was probably the last Kitsu that Vana wanted to see.
Nunzio was flying about, looking for Morticia since it had been a while since Morgana had seen her teenage daughter. He was a little worried about Lucia, but his daughter was an adult now and knew how to take care of herself. He was heading for the HQ when he spotted two winged Kitsu's in the middle of the field. He would have passed right by them if it wasn't for the fact that one of them was his daughter....with a male he had never seen before!! He immediately started to descend and he put in more speed when he saw she was crying.
Now Nunzio was usually quite a calm Angelic, always looking to find a rational, quiet way to handle confrontations. But this wasn't the case. This was his daughter and she was sobbing and since that male was the only one there, that meant he had hurt her in some way! And no one hurt Nunzio's daughters.
The male slammed into the ground on all fours between Lucia and the male and his green eyes glittered furiously and he towered himself over the male, growling darkly, "Get away from my daughter...." he said in his deep voice, a dangerous edge to it that threatened alot of harm to the male if he came any closer.

All he saw was Lucia sinking back down to the ground. All he heard were her words, stabbing him through the heart. "Lucia! It's not like that!!"
His legs were taking him to her, Vana not even thinking of anything else than how she thought he didn't want to touch her when it was taking all his control not to touch her, he wanted to so badly. He opened his mouth to try and tell her that... and Vanafindon ran headfirst into the chest of the huge angelic male that landed between them, blinded by tears and a need to get to Lucia. Vana staggered back, dazed by the impact. Stripes, much darker than Lucia's perfectly soft & lightly blended markings, registered before even the growled words. The younger male's tails tucked between his legs and flat against his belly as he stepped -slunked or teetered really- back a step, words torn from him. Pained blue eyes darted between Lucia and the huge male who was her father. He couldn't tell her how much he wanted to touch her in front of her father ... it would have been hard enough to say just to her.
Vana gulped heavily. He had wanted to meet her family... but not like this. They would hate him... never forgive him... and he'd never see Lucia ever again.
Heavily he fell onto his belly, tails still tucked shamefully beneath him. He looked around the huge male, blue eyes only on the female that had captivated him. He could tell nothing about what he felt, could admit nothing. Certainly not in front of her father. But he couldn't let her believe that.... "Lucia... I'm sorry... But it's not like that... It was never like that. It's the opposite.... the exact opposite..."
His voice cracked and fell. Not even thinking that only Nunzio might be able to hear him Vanafindon continued, needing to say it. Just say it. "I'm the one not good enough. You're perfect... too perfect. I just wanted... to spend time with you. While I could. As much as I could..."

Nunzio growled when the male backed up and stuck his tails between his legs, showing his 'submission' in a way and he fanned his black wings out to shield Lucia from his view. He didn't know what was going on, but he was starting to cool down from his anger, he just didn't like seeing hsi daughter cry. His ears twitched as he caught the others males words and mentally he sighed and rolled his eyes to the heavens, having dreaded this day, the day one of his daughters would fall in love. And it seemed the male before, cowering and whimpering on the ground, reciprocated her feelings.
Lucia sobbed softly, but she jumped back when something large and heavy slammed into the ground before her and her eyes widen in shock, embarrassment and fear when she saw it was her daddy. She whimpered a little, not for her safety, but for Vana's safety when she saw how tense he was. "D-d-daddy?" she called out softly.
Nunzio looked like he was ignoring Lucia as he looked the male over. He didn't look familiar in the least, but you never knew who knew who when it came to Kitsu's. But one thing he promised himself when he found out he had three daughters is he would never come between them and the ones they chose to be with. He let out a long, deep sigh, sitting himself down and folding his wings along his back. "Lucia....go to the HQ and wait for us there...." he told her and used a tone with her that basically said 'do not argue with me.' He wanted to have a talk with this male and he needed to do it without Lucia there to distract them.
She was about to protest, about to run over and stand beside Vana and defend him, tell her daddy it wasn't his fault she got so upset. But when he used that tone, she knew arguing would just get him angry and he only ever used that tone once with her. She nodded her head and gulped, looking over to Vana's dark blue eyes one more time and then flapping her wings, lifting off into the air and then winging her way back to the HQ.

Vanafindon did not know what to do when he could no longer see Lucia. He swiveled his ears forward, straining to hear anything from her -more worried about Lucia than the formidable form of her father that blocked her from sight. Vana whined softly, thinking he heard her whimper and inched forward the slightest bit before thinking that she probably did not want to be anywhere near him.
Still he lifted from the ground as if pulled when she took off, eyes never leaving her until Lucia was out of sight. A flutter of hope in his chest from when her soft green eyes had met his just before taking off.
And then he was alone with the hulking male, feeling quite bereft. She was gone. Vanafindon sank heavily back to the ground.
He was alone with her father.
Blue eyes widened as realization struck, then rolled to actually see the imposing parental figure. Black tipped peach ears flattened to his peach capped head as if expecting a blow. And Vana believed he deserved it. He had made Lucia cry... he had not meant to, but still he had done it.

Nunzio watched his daughter lift off the ground and then fly off before slumping his body down onto the grass, a small cloud of dust and grass flying up from underneath him. He let out a tired sigh, rubbing at his face and then he turned his dark green eyes on the cowering male, "You love my daughter, do you not? And do not lie to me, I do not appreciate those that lie." he said in his deep voice.

No blow came. Instead the question. That was not what he expected. His body tensed defensively as he opened his mouth in an automatic reaction after a lifetime with his twin. Then it snapped shut. Vana could not straight out deny his feelings. Not when stated like that. Not when he knew it was the truth. And especially not to her father.
His chest locked up, closing any chance at speech. Meeting Nunzio's eyes with a look of fear, more of his own feelings than of the father, Vanafindon could only nod heavily.

Nunzio let out another, weary sigh, rubbing at his face as though he was tired, letting a mumbled 'I knew this day would come...' and he hated the feeling that he was suddenly old. Gosh he wished Peatree was here, she would probably be able to handle this better.
He looked over to the male and sighed again, "Look....I love my daughter....I love all my daughters, as much as a father can. And I promised myself I would not come between them and the ones they love. But I do not want my daughters to be with someone who makes them cry because they cannot tell them how they feel. What exactly are you afraid would happen?" he asked, tilting his head onto his paw.

'between them and the ones they love' Vana stared at the larger angelic with blue eyes wide anew. Was Lucia's father saying ... Lucia loved him? But that was ... just as too soon as his feelings for her. "Today's only the second time I've seen her..."
But he had not been able to get her far from his mind since that first time. Still the feelings were too new to confess, even if there was not the matter of his twin. And that was not what had been asked. The hope that had flared in his eyes that Lucia might feel the same melted as he fell back into a fretful slump. "I... I've not thought about it exactly." His voice was soft, faraway. There had not really been a lot of time today to think about it.
His gaze shifted not to HQ but towards the House in Bass'ken Woods where he had left his twin. "Maidhfinden."

"Me and my mate found each other quite quickly. Do not think love has to take a long time to find." he said, closing his eyes. His ears twitched when he heard that name, "Is that another female..." he growled, eyes still closed. He would probably break this males wings if it was, he wouldn't have him playing his daughter.
