Franki watched the last of the embers turn from yellow to black, relaxing her whole body, finally finding unconciousness in the end.

SUnrise attempted to sneak stealthily past Franki's sleeping form, but it was pitch black in the Common Room, and she didn't know her way around very well. She soon stubbed her toe on a small table, freezing for a moment to see if she woke Franki. No sounds of waking met her ears, so she found her way to the wall and used it to find the portrait hole. Once it was open she scurried out, not noticed by the slumbering Fat Lady.

Franki stirred slightly, switching her weight from one side to the other before waking completely. Her eyes slit open as she stared around the pitch black room. Franki had meant to make her way towards the girls' dorm, but got the doors mixed up. She left the common room and decided to go out to the quidditch pitch as soon as she had found that she had gotten the wrong door.

Lily neard moving downstairs. She stretched. She had obviosly fallen asleep. "Wha tim iz it?" she mumbled. She raised herself, only to fall back in exhaustion.

Remus turned red. No, BEYOND red. He created a whole new shade of the color, it seemed. It was mixture of embarrassment and anger. The poor git didn't know how to handle emotions quite well, so, speechless and just about ready to faint, he mustered all the strength he had, and went at James.
Needless to say, he jumped out of bed and went flying at James, hoping to pin him to the floor.
"You senseless moron! You got me drunk?! What the bloody hell were you thinking?! The fullmoon is three days away, and a girl plants a wet one on me? Not saying I didn't enj- are you listening to me?! The last thing we need is some girl gettin curious and wandering around campus!"
That, ladies and gentlemen, was the most Remus has probably uttered. Not to mention, the angriest spew of words in the century.
Remus was acting very out of character, but who could blame him? He had always blown off the stupid things James and Sirius had done, bottled them up inside. Perhaps he finally blew it, and all those frustrations came out at once. Teen angst. Ah.

James really didn't know how to react to this angry Remus. It frightened him, to say the least. It horrified him. He tried to look past the werewolf thing for the time he'd known, but it was hard when Remus got angry to forget. The paranoia of the wolf that was implanted into his brain by his father caused him to see a glimmer of gold in his friend's eyes. A true sign of the feral werewolf.
No! That is not Remus! he thought angrily, not allowing child-like stories of little boys being ripped apart get to him after seven years of friendship with this boy. Remus was the most faithful friend he'd ever had, and he wouldn't let petty stereotypes get in the way of that.
With one mighty heave, James pushed Remus off his chest and rolled, making him on top. "Remus, calm down mate! Don't go feral on me! You needed to loose up a bit, you look like you've got a pole up your arse half the time! And don't try to deny that you didn't enjoy that little peck Sunrise gave you earlier! She really likes you, but she's a Ravenclaw! She's not stupid enough to go wandering around campus if she suspects your furry little problem wether she digs you or not!"

Franki walked up the stairs to the common room again, looking around. She couldn't see anyone, so she walked up to the boys dorm, hearing faint angry voices in the distance. As she walked up the stairs, the voices got louder. "HEY GUYS, KEEP IT DOWN!" she called through the door, making sure the guys could hear.

James stepped away innocently as Lily pulled him off of Remus. He knew it would sound childish, but... "He started it!" He heard Franki yell off in the distance. "Sorry babe, didn't catch that!" he shouted down the stairs, thinking she was down in the common room instead of right outside his door.

Remus was having a hard time coming to his senses, really. He wanted to beat the pulp out of James, but then again, he didn't. He was fighting hard not to, but at the same time trying to get James off. When he was finally free, and he hear dLily off inm the distance, the brunette plopped down on the bed and hugged his knees to his chest, trying not to prevent further harm.
"Why me?!" he shouted. "Of all people in the world, me?! Why did I have to be cursed like this? Why do I have to go through all this stupid seclusion? Why am I so shy? Why does Sunrise have to like me, huh!?" Remus was chewing on his sheet, apparently highly upset. He took a few depe breaths, but was having a very hard time calming down.
"Ugh... I need chocolate."

Lily glanced at James. Clearly, there was something between them they needed discuss. She was terribly confused though. "Well, I'll just be going." Lily turned to go, feeling suddenly shy. "If I find and chocolate, I'll bring some. 'Bye." She fled the dorm and streaked downstairs. She stopped. Her eyes wide, she saw she had passed Franki, who was standing outside the door. What should I do? Apologize? Lily thought nervously.
Why should you? She obvoiusly doesn't care that James had feelings for you. Lily blushed at the thought. She quickly turned away, and left.

Franki looked slightly shocked as Lily passed without a word. Franki waited until Lily was out of sight before she looked into the boys dormitory at James and Remus. "Hey guys," she said, waving sheepishly. "Sorry 'bout that, Remus," she muttered softly as she walked a few steps forward and leaned on the door jam. Her hair was ruffled slightly, some of it falling into her face haggardly. "Hey James, is something wrong with Lily? She seems kind of upset. Do you think it has anything to do with me?" Franki asked innocently. She was just guessing that it did have something to do with her. Something in her gut told her that Lily had not overlooked James' sudden fascination in Franki.

"I'm really not sure," James said with a nonchalant shrug. "I don't think you did anything wrong, frankly. Hehe, hey, Franki, frankly? Funny right? I must be really knackered..." Shaking his head like a disoriented dog, James hugged Franki goodnight and crawled into bed.

Lily went back to sleep, wanting it to be a new day, and to forget of disastrous life. How could life turn from utter loathing to a wanting... Of having it back? Wanting more? Less? Whatever it was, it sure wasn't going to let her sleep easily. Still, she was more than just tired. Stress can wear you out, you know.
