Peter shook his head, shushing her. "It's alright...Jess, listen, it's alright. Don't be sorry." He was suddenly rather pleased. He could marry Jess, and there would be no problem. His parents, once they'd wrapped their heads around the idea, would welcome Jess with open arms, he was sure. He kissed her again, on the cheek, unsure of how else to comfort her. "I hope it's a girl."

Jess was rather confused. She assumed that Peter would be furious, or at least extremely upset over it. She blinked a few times before coming to her senses, and gave a small smile. "Yeah? Perhaps a girl would be nice."

lapair Madame Pomfrey was back with a half dozen bottles, set them all down, and took a pale blue, particularly dismal looking potion, and tipped it down Elle's throat without warning. Immediately, there was a loud crunch and Elle's ankle righted itself, looking painful. There were several more splintering noises, and Madame Pomfrey pursed her lips as the ankle mended itself. "It should be finished in a few minutes," she told Elle, not bothering to glance at any expression on her face.
"And would you care to tell me about your....stomachache?" she asked Jess, lips parting with a sneer.
"No, I mean, our going to get drinks together. With Ray and Desiree, probably," she added, "Unless they want to go often somewhere else. "Oh" Jackson looked dissapointed but gave a fake smile "Yeah that would be fun."

Leigh noticed Jackson's expression and frowned. "What's wrong? Did you have something else in mind?"
Peter smiled back. "I'll write my parents later today," he told her, grinning, visions of a miniature Jess with curls doing an arabesque in his head. "We'll get married over winter break."

Jess's eyes widened. "M-married?" She hadn't really thought of that. With a baby came attachment...there goes all her fun...she forced herself not to look disappointed and nodded. "Perhaps a Christmas wedding." She tried to think of the positives. Well...there was the diamond ring, that was always a plus and one of her favorite traditions. If they were going to take anything from the muggle realm, that was it. And...and now that she was carrying his baby, he would never leave her, so she could whore it out as much as she wanted (until she gained too much weight) and it wouldn't matter, she could blame hormones. Besides which, now they could have sex anytime and she wouldn't have to worry about getting pregnant again.

"If it's what you want," agreed Peter sincerely, now absolutely thrilled with the prospect of being a father. Any negative points of being a teenage parent ceased to exist. The mere idea of teenage sex being frowned upon made Peter enraged. After all, if something so wonderous had made him a father, then it could not possibly be anything but marvelous.

Honestly, what Jess wanted was to not be pregnant, not have the prospect of her body going to seed, since it was her only weapon. She wanted to not be tied to one guy forever, but there goes that. She was going to be a mother, and now she was unsure if she'd even be able to go to school next year. Still, she had to milk it. After all, now that she was a pregnant teenager, she was at risk for medical problems, so she would need to be waited on and not overexert herself. The thought brought a smile to herself. "Yeah, it's what I want."

"I'll tell Mum," promised Peter, kissing Jess's collarbone again.
Ray swung open the door to find Peter looking as though he'd misplaced his dessert in the crook of Jess's neck. "Oh! Peter. You're...awake," he said lamely, looking behind him at Desiree.

Jess gave a small giggle as she kissed him, not noticing the others entering, frowning when she heard Ray's voice.
Desiree glanced out from behind Ray, holding his hand. "Nice to see you're better, Peter." She chose to look away from Jess and instead glanced out the window momentarily.

Peter grinned. "Much, much better," he said, beaming. He looked at Jess and nudged her. "Go on, Jess. Tell them."
Ray looked at Peter curiously. "Tell us what?" He now moved his gaze to Jess.

Jess looked between Peter and the others, suddenly feeling a discomfort that she normally never had around people, especially guys. "I...umm, we, that is, Peter and I..."
Desiree raised an eyebrow. Maybe they were finally breaking up...that would be the best thing for Peter in her opinion. But no, by the way he had kissed her, and the fact that they were still in each other's arms, that couldn't be it. Wondering what it could be, her eyes flickered to Jess's stomach, which looked oddly curved for someone who prided themselves on being perfectly petite.

Peter grinned. "Jess and I are..." his smile widened still further, until it seemed to be occupying the entire room. He gently placed his hand on her stomach and beamed at his visitors. "Parents."
Ray blinked a few times. His mouth moved, but no sound came out. And when it did, it was an echo. "Parents?" he repeated.

"Well..." Jess placed her hand on top of Peter's, her cheeks turning uncharacteristically pink. "We will be in a few months."
So that was it. Desiree cleared her throat, glancing sideways at Ray for a second. "Oh...well congratulations." Poor kid...probably isn't even Peter's.
