To tell the truth Reaper was expecting him to disappear or something to easily dodge her attack. She growled softly to herself as she watched him move out of the path of her weapon so easily. There was nothing she could do about it.

She came down into a kneeling position her claws sank deep into the ground real deep. Head raising up watching as he suddenly came towards her. Bringing her claws up out of the ground so she could launch an attack.

Feeling his feet suddenly come upon her shoulders weighing her down. This was a huge mistake..she couldn't have attack. Darnit! Reaper growled to herself knowing now that she should've gone to defensive instead of offensive.

Then she saw some out of the corner of her eye seeing something middle and sharp like. She yelped seeing it come up from the other side immediately her claws came up around her neck catching hold of the metal as it created a loop around her neck.

She didn't dare pool it though. Afraid that it may be quit sharp able to cut through her gloves thus through her fingers. Reaper didn't feel like losing her fingers. Reaper made sure to make no movements at all while that thing was around her neck.

It wasn't till the thing came away that she rolled backwards away from Shin and came upon her feet. Flexing her metal claws and glad she still had her head connected to her shoulders. This time she went to a defensice position awaiting for the someone else to make the next move.

In his mind music played roughly. Percussion music, basic drums and a few minor strings being played. A simple beat but quick. He began to move towards the two. His steps in beat with the quick rythym he ran bringing his blade behind him and out of the way he reached them and made his move about 6 feet before hitting the girl and shin.

With his forward momentum going he tossed his blade back out of the way and jumped forward in one motion, moving it into a front flip he brought his heel onto shins head, if that hit it would make a glancing blow putting his momentum and bodyweight into the blow.

User Image

Either way as he landed he would put his hands onto the ground and flip backwards onto his knees, using his hands again he would get onto his feet quickly and hold himself in a defensive position.

Quite simple really, like a boxers stance he would put his arms to block what he could while backing in large strides to reach his blade.

Once he reached his blade given the chance he would use it as a shield.

After a few steps, Lucind returned back into the tent: she had forgotten Enki's coat that had covered her while she was asleep.

Just because Shin had stopped his assualt on Reaper, didn't mean he wasn't aware. In fact, he had been facing torwards Tenma when his last assualt ended. He noted Tenma's quick movements followed by the begining of his front flip attack. This man was a Kyonuske, no doubt about that, but Shin saw what the man planned to do. Yeah, it was going to be tricky do avoid it.

When Tenma brought himself to the point where he was vertically upside down, Shin dropped to the ground. He dropped low to the point that he was almost parrelel with the surface. It would appear as if he was in a push-up like position. He looked accross the ground as Tenma did his flip and made eye contact with him briefly. With Tenma's momentum however, it was to late to stop his attack.

The warm air currents seemed to form in his visual perspective. Having been born that of a fire apparition, Shin was skilled in the art of fire creation and manipulation. This art dealt with heat as well. So when Tenma brought his heal downwards into an attack, Shin not only was nowhere to be found, but was also in a position to make a counter attack and avoidance.

Shin pushed off of the ground, launching himself forward. Normally, an individual would not get far with this leap, but with Shin, the heat current caught his body and he sailed smoothly forward, hovering only slightly above the ground. At this distance, it did not take long for Shin to pass Tenma. As he passed Tenma's other leg however, he rotated his body over the heat current and swiftly kicked the back of his exsposed leg. This action would ultimately cause Tenma's body to become parelel with the ground and to fall.

Having gone a safe distance away from the two individuals, Shin let the heat current lift his body vertically so that he now stood, gazing at the two. He had his arms crossed, a small grin sweeping accross his face. Why did they always decide to attack him? Now however, he had them both in a direct line of attack.

Shin positioned himself so that his left foot was forward and his right foot back. He raised his left arm and extended his hand outwards so that his palm now faced the two. The air around his hand bent and warped with heat. Five fireballs formed around his hand, 3-4 inches away. Each fireball was aligned so that if you were to connect the dots, it would form a star. The grin turned evil accross his face and his eyes narrowed. Did he care if they lived? Deep down, probley not. The fireballs now spun in a clockwise manner from Shin's view, drawing closer and closer to the very center of his palm.

When the fireballs met, the joined to created a much larger fireball. The fireball then shrunk to nothing as it would appear. His fingers were still spread wide though, and he still had that look. He closed his hand and made a fist, the fireball nowhere to be seen. Heat however radiated from his hand as if some pent up power was raging inside to be released. Fire spiraled up and down his arm as Shin pulled it back, hand shaking all the way back. When his fist was directly to the side of his face, he muttered words. Words that to some would mean nothing, but to Kyonuske may mean more. It would seem, that he had found an inner flame.

"Toshido, Fire Blast!"

The energy suddenly grew more intense and Shin slammed his fist forward to its first position. He unculed his figers and spread them, palm being exsposed once again. The action triggered an enourmous torrent of red fire with white swirls. The blast diamater was at least 12 feet in all directions. Shin screamed out as the blast surged forward with great speed. Before reaching its mark, Shin would recall his hand back a bit and then push it forward, releasing more fire and heightening the blast effencincy.

Whatever the outcome of the attack, it was certain that the blast would burn down a significant line through the forest. After some time, Shin stopped his yelling and closed his hand, ending the assualt. He stumbled backwards, sweat dripping off of his face. His breathing was heavy but he could still fight. He tried to calm his breathing down and regain some lost energy, but he never knew when they would attack again. He hoped they would attack each other and not him, to give him the needed time to recooperate. He waited.

Damn..

Reaper didn't know till just then how good Shin really was. This time he wasn't going easy he was giving it his all not like their first match. She twitched lightly knowing that she would be in deep trouble soon if she didn't use her shadow magic.

Standing in defensive position watchin as Shin dodge Tenma's attack in such a way that it made her eye widen in shock. Then watched as the man fell towards the earth. Leaving him open for a wide area of attack but he was probably expecting it too.

It was worth the shot though. Reaper started to make her way towards the fallen Tenma only to come to a complete halt half way noticing the heat and fire forming around Shin. Now it was time to go on the defensive and quick.

Reaper's eye traveled along the grounds searching for the shadows surrounding them. There wasn't enough to create a sheild strong enough to hold back a Kyonuske powers. That left one thing left. Closing her eyes and stepping backwards a few feet. Starting to feel herself sway from right to left smoothly and gracefully.

Feeling the tug as she fell back through the shadows and then sprinkle away once Shin's attack was fire off in all directions. Reaper opened her eyes finding herself in the Shadow Realm and that meant she had to move quickly. Quickly she did running across the firm ground searching for the shadowy forms of Tenma and Shin.

Finding them soon enough a grin coming to her face as her eyes fell upon Shin. Let's see how he would like to have his attack put against him. Slowly she started to sink out of the Shadow realm and silent reappear three feet behind Shin.

Right claws instently coming out towards his back along the spin to sink the claws in deep into his flesh. They the would curl inwards as if to grip his spine like one would with a staff. Her other set of metal claws doing the same but this time in his right shoulder.

Then painful twist the claws as Reaper turned in the opposite direction. Meant to lift Shin up and off the ground and throw him through the air towards the ground after bringing up and over her shoulder. It acquired alot of strength in ones arms. Which she had since she trained with these gauntlets daily and they were heavy.

So, to Reaper doing that to him was like taking a drink of water. Very simple. Once he was above her shoulder and coming to the actually through her claws would start letting loose their hold upon him and then fully toss him.

The second he hit the ground he was rolling to the side, tucking his arms in he moved to the side fast, trying to keep away from an attack, as he rolled he stopped, his face in the ground and pushed himself up onto his knees, then standing up he ran at his blade now laying on the ground. Ultimately grabbing his blade would have him close to each of the people, it seemed both had powers, not good for him.

He reached his blade and slid to a halt grabbing the hilt of his Moonblade he stood and ran, his back arched knees bent he ran low, blade held slightly to the side, as he reached them he made a slash, simple really, a large horizontal arch that would most likely hit the woman around her stomach.

But that would make it too simple. He also brought his right foot back slightly and the second the blade passed he would come in a type of roundhouse kick into where her knees would be. Simple really.

Fuin huffed and blinked up at the doctor as he ruffled her hair again, bringing her small chuibby hands up to pat her hair back down into place before holding her arms upwards to Eien and lettin her lift her up onto her hip. The small shadow girl nuzzled into Eien with a yawn and rested her cheek on the lady's shoulder, one arm draped over her shoulder, the other clasping tightly at a handful of Eien's shirt. Sleepily she watched the surroundings as Eien rocked and bounced her.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 16, 2005 9:58 am
Eien nodded to the doctor before gently placing Fuin on the soft grass quickly and taking out a shirt of hers from her bag. Gently dressing her in the over-sized T-shirt, then cooing to her again as she brushes the hair from her brow. Eien gently picked her up again before smiling as Fuin laid her little head on her own shoulder, rubbing her back well she rocked and bounced her slightly again in a comfortable motion before her star shines softly. Chanting a silent something under her breath as a soft melody filled the air around them and an a soft enchanting voice, clear as water and new like a baby cherry blossom.

~Softly, softly as she lies sleeping...
Sleep my caring one and shoot to the heavenly dawn.
To dream away the pain and see a new light of the day.
Come and go, so you may see what lies beyond the sun.

Softly, softly...
as she lies sleeping....~

The song fades on the wind well Eien gently lays her head on Fuin's brow getting lost in her thoughts for a moment well absently-minded stroking Fuin's back.

~ Chapter 1: Part 5 ~

"Oi, oi!" said the truly unique young man who had marched his way across the open field from the road, and into the encampment already, without really seeing much as hide or hare of someone who wasn't busy scuttling about their own business. He was walking around the edge of one of the tents that had been pitched to house the wounded and the refugees that had fled the stadium. Many had gone to their homes or hotels, or simply run a good distance away from whatever it was that as happening inside, though the injured had been brought to the encampment, to be treated by the medical staff that had escaped unharmed.

Of course, as dense as he was in regards to his surroundings, this poor boy still thought that the pitched tents were a circus; and he was starting to wonder where he could find a hot dog.

"What's going on here?" he asked, brushing aside one of the tent flaps to the structure Lucind had just left a moment ago; taking a quick look inside at the few people stretched out upon the cots, and then turning and heading off towards the center of the encampment.

For a circus, this place sure didn't seem so cheery.

Fuin yawned again sleepily as she held her arms up, allowing Eien to dress the child more easily before murring happily as Eien picked her back up. Again, one hand clutched tightly at Eien's top material while the other found its way into her mouth, well, her thumb at least, which she began to suck on quietly, closing her eyes as the back rubbing and gentle lullabye soothed her. She did not stop to think where the lullabye was coming from.

As Fuin slowly began to drift off to sleep, becoming limper in Eien's arms a word floated about in her mind. A seemingly familiar word, yet Fuin could not grasp why in her sleepy confusion.

"Mama..." she said quietly, nestling against Eien's shoulder.

Eien let her thoughts wander well rocking the shadow child in her slender arms, and feeling Rev ease into a slight nap too. Grabbing her bag and placing it on her shoulder, Eien started to wander around the encampment area. People watching as she passed them by and by.

It was interesting though to watch them come together for once and comfort each other well they could. ...yet for how long? Would people as soon as this is over forget about what had happened and let it go, becoming selfish again well everything passes them by. No... things change and people can too. These ones would not forget, bloodshed is a memory that is imprinted within you weither you like it or not.

As she started to think about Ala- wait, what?! What did the child just say. Eien looked down at Fuin, eyes widened for a brief moment then softened.

...Mama?....

Could she be a mother again, even with Rev within her, Eien's doubts soared more than her stars in the sky. Watching her other nine be killed was enough and starting over was even tougher. Yet she shook her head and nodded to Fuin, letting a simple smile come across the eiehian woman's mouth. The 19 year old looking Eien wandered through the mingle of people with Fuin sleeping tightly within her arms. And the silver star blazing on her brow brightly within the darkened area happyily.

The attack came swiftly. Truthfully, he hadn't expected her reaction time to be that fast. But with his own skill? Now, that was quite unfair he thought. Having took quite a while to establish that technique, he thought it wasn't that nice to use it against him.

After his attack was launched, Shin found it both odd and expected that they would both choose to dodge it. The sound and smell of chared flesh would have been noted if the attack had hit...and that wasn't the case. The soft sound of air could be heard behind him at her re-entry. So, She used Shadow Drifting...Only an amateur.

Shin grinned as soon as she started to appear. His image flickered suddenly before standing still. His image didn't move. When her spikes dug into his back, she wasn't met with the satisfying sound of tearing flesh, instead, the sound that followed was that or air. Nothing followed, yet her spikes grabbed hold of something.

An image flickered some distance away, watching the two with a third on his way. Shin appeared from the image and sat there smiling. No one used his own attack and got away with it, no one.

"Toshido, Doppleganger Suicide"

The image of himself that she had undoubtably grasped stiffened. His eyes rolled back in his head, and blood poured down his front, gushing from his open mouth. His body spazemed and cuts formed as accross his body. He screamed and his body exploded, releasing a mixture of blood and flamable liquids. This liquid covered the now only two individuals that were there.

The real Shin smiled and clenched his fist. The fluid ignited and exploded. Shin was tired of the bout, and he figured they would be to. If he was wrong, he would continue, but they had had enough training for the time being, and he senced something was amiss. He turned off and looked torwards the stadium...what was going on?

Reaper's eyes widen in shock she had gripped something but it wasn't Shin at all. It was something else that wasn't him but looked like him. She would step back feeling the blood suddenly explode upon her. Then feel her skin and clothing being burned as it was lit on fire. She screamed for a moment from the pain and immediately threw herself back to the ground. The attack from Tenma just missing her as she fell to the ground.

Using the old stop drop and roll techique. The lush grass put the fire out quickly and she eventually stopped and simply laid there upon the ground. That was twice now that he was able to get her when she attacked him. In annoyance she snatched a pebble and tossed it at Shin.

He missed and slid, pushing up off the ground with one hand and flipping onto his feet. He sighed as he looked down at his newly ******** up clothing. Due to shins attack. Not much more a bit of damaged skin on his leg.

Moving quickly he brought his heel down into where the woman's midsection would be. As soon as that hit or didn,t he would do a crab walks thing backwards and stand up in a defensive position.

Enough was enough. The spar should end. He lifted his hand and snatched the pebble out of the air as it was tossed at him. He launched his arm forward and flung the small stone at Tenma's head. The impact would not be that great, but it would have enough significance.

One must know when to call it good. Until one understands all aspects of life with understanding, peace of mind can never be accomplished.

Shin lazily layed back on the ground. He was tired and sore, he needed some time to recover.
