Ray shrugged. "Well...Jess looked kind of happy today. Like their coupleness wasn't one sided anymore. It might be an improvement."

"Yeah...that's true." Desiree thought for a moment then shrugged. "It could have been hormones though, or she could be planning something." She stopped walking, just realizing that they were wandering aimlessly. "Where are we going again?"

Ray blinked. "I'm...not sure. Aren't we near the kitchens?" he asked, as a house elf flew past them, clearly in a hurry.

Desiree looked up and down the corridor for teachers before pulling Ray towards the kitchens. "I'm hungry, let's get something to eat."

lapair Madame Pomfrey was back with a half dozen bottles, set them all down, and took a pale blue, particularly dismal looking potion, and tipped it down Elle's throat without warning. Immediately, there was a loud crunch and Elle's ankle righted itself, looking painful. There were several more splintering noises, and Madame Pomfrey pursed her lips as the ankle mended itself. "It should be finished in a few minutes," she told Elle, not bothering to glance at any expression on her face.
"And would you care to tell me about your....stomachache?" she asked Jess, lips parting with a sneer.
"No, I mean, our going to get drinks together. With Ray and Desiree, probably," she added, "Unless they want to go often somewhere else.
Her eyes widened as the potion was tipped down her throat, but she drank it, knowing it would make her feel better.
As the bone crunched back in place, Elle face filled with pain, and her head fell to her chest, gritting her teeth against the pain.
After feeling the bones go back to place, Elle took deep breaths and sighed. Rolling her ankle in the air, it didn't hurt at all.
"Thanks, Madame Promfrey..." Elle said, lifting up her head and giving her a smile.

Elle didn't mean to evesdrop, but considering that they weren't exactly whispering, and they had said it out loud to their friends, Elle had found out. Elle looked at the happy couple, and felt her heart warm at the sight.
Overhearing the conversation they had with their friends, Elle was dissapointed that they did not feel true happiness toward the new couple. But she was glad they did not let it affect them.
Realizing that she could leave, Elle gathered her things together. Before leaving, she smiled at them,
"Hey, congrats to you both...Good luck with the future, and I hope you have a wonderful life together."
Grinning, she decided to add her name, just for the heck of it, "My name's Elle, by the way. If you ever need any help, you can always find me." Flashing them another smile, she bowed politely and stood up. Taking her things with her, she turned around to leave.

Jess only nodded to Elle, not really feeling like apologizing to her before but not being in the right mind to be blatantly rude. After the girl left, Jess propped herself up and smiled, looking down softly at Peter in a way she had never really done before. "I'll go fill out that paperwork now." She gave him a kiss on the forehead before climbing out of the bed and entering Madam Pomfrey's office.

Madame Pomfrey looked up, having organized a thick stack of papers on her desk for Jess. She Conjured a chair, and bowed her head towards the papers. "It's quite self-explanatory, but I'm always here for any questions."
Ray followed willingly. "Me too. Go on, tickle it," he said, nudging Desiree towards the pear.

Jess nodded and grabbed a quill, sighing as she started on the stack. After a few minutes, she had to stretch her hand before starting again. "Do I absolutely need to get my parents' signatures on this one? Peter's too?" She bit on her bottom lip, not at all happy that there was seemingly no way around it.
Desiree nodded and deftly started tickling Ray's sides, a tricky little grin on her face. "What, you didn't say 'tickle me'?"

"Oh, yes. You can keep that sheet and send it to them along with your letter to them," said Madame Pomfrey. "Or you can have them send letters of acknowledgement to me. And the signatures will be put through a verification test," added Madame Pomfrey swiftly, through narrowed eyes.
Ray grinned, and grabbed onto Desiree's hands. He was a little pink. "No, I really didn't."

Jess looked absolutely distraught. "Well it says here if I live on my own, I don't need a ignature, and I know if I tell my parents about this, I'll be disowned. They told me they would."
"Aww, too bad." She gave him a quick peck on the lips. "Now you can either free my hands or tickle that fruit yourself."
