Ryuu watched as the pokemon seemed to be getting impatient. Strange since the entire battle, the large rock pokemon had seemed really calm and composed. Well at least this time the other pokemon seemed to be running on actual feelings. The Larvitar managed to avoid the oncoming attack quite nicely and effectively rushing towards the opposite direction of which the attack was coming. Seeing his opponent losing it's cool seemed to fill the dirt eater with determination and energy. Charging forth to Bite his opponent with all the strength he could muster, trying to end this battle!

((Ah yes... twisted ))

The water tainted with blood wouldn't give any hints as Raven got to the end of that rocky area ...just before he would had leaped upon the main land mass once more it would snake up in between them. It's maw gapping over as it peers downwards at the boy and actually snarls.

((Who dares to ruin the purity of my water? It is murder on my mustache when insect blood is added to the mix.))

The Gyarados would roar as his tail would come up out of the water to twirl in that long thick mustache that from the top of his nose past his chin. A smirk was on his face as his ruby red scales seemed to shine more than what one would think was natural for a pokemon of his type.

A red Gyarados would make it's appearances as the creature that had been tracking that blood scent took one look at the strange pokemon and decided that no matter how delicatable the blood it wasn't worth being in that creature's presences as the pokemon in question peers down at Raven.

((You...you are the responsible, and I know this? So, what are you going to do about cleaning up this mess ...look ...it has already started to frizz!))

He pointed one more time at his mustache as he continues to try and smoothed that rope tight appendage even smarter. Though it would only curl around his tail, and that seemed to incite the pokemon's rage as he roars or more so howls.

((Noooooooooooooooo! It's a distaster ...distaster ..)) as the Gyarados would start to rampage. There was no simply getting around him now.

IThey stopped where they could... was taking the high path keeping them away from any potential pokémon that could have been wandering around the lower realms? She had no idea what to expect in a place like this, but little be said, she certainly had no expectation that any pokémon in this kind of environment would be as friendly as any in the forests... Although these lights suggested something else to her...

They had came to a large and flat surface where a single stone jutted out of the wallface like an overhang, she came to a stop and whistled up, as Claudandas would make his way back to Jasmine, careful to avoid the overlapping ice and heat that came from the walls back and forth, the girl whipped off her poncho, laying it down on the flat surface and beckoning the Purrloin, "We're taking a quick rest, that's all."

She rifled through her small pouch, brow raising at the smock and pants she pulled out... well... at least it served one purpose as she laid it out for Claudandas to sit upon.

There was a surprising amount to take in as she sat there, rubbing her legs. They ached, but it was a good kind of ache she had, working muscles that hadn't been used for a long time were now getting worked. "I don't know if I've told you Claudandas..."

She reached down, just as the cat settled himself in a pile, stroking through his fur and feeling a throaty purr as she rubbed down his back, "But I came from a place like this."

"The mines... The caverns and all the pokémon that lived down there... the world of humans... of adults... I felt so out of place."

"But down there, in the dark, there were pokémon. I lived with them, spoke to them, even if I couldn't hear them, they were patient with me, helped me where they could..."

She thought back to the black and harsh place, of choking dust, of collapsing tunnels, burning candles.

And adults. With whips.

She shivered. She'd never been struck, but she'd seen it happen, every time she had heard that whip strike, she could imagine it again in her head when they were all made to watch, if ever they tired, that whip told them, to hurrry up or it would be them next.

"I wasn't much use to the adults there."

"They had me work menial chores... but I went into the mines, whenever I could."

"It was a horrible place... but I hope that all the pokémon there escape... that they found a much happier place, much like I hope the other children do."

"I don't know if I remember enough..." She suddenly frowned, as if she'd came across a gap in her own thoughts, "It's funny... we were mining... I can't even remember what fo-"

She shook her head, "I don't remember much... there were too many horrible things to remember much else... but I'm hoping, I remember enough, I can use some of that to navigate this place."

"Me and caves. And your eyes." She grinned, as Claudandas opened eyes, a pair of glistening gold in the dark around.

"Rest while you can, we'll get ready to move."

A bit of movement to her right would reveal a Nidoran (m) ...the pokemon was hugging the walls and eating from the foliage there. Bits of grasses and moss that grew along the side of the walls was his meal as he tries to ignore the girl simply resting. He had no cause for alarm with her ...as he would dig one paw into the dirt looking for roots.

Slowly drying as the sun shone over head, Victoria would soon find herself wandering into the confines of the crater once again; but there was something the girl had perhaps forgotten. What about the Weavile and their Pack? Couldn't they still be around?

They'd been after the Sneasel upon Raven's shoulders, but they had her scent as well. All they knew was that she was connected to the boy; so wasn't there a chance they'd come after her as well?

The click of a stone rolling across the ground...the image of a beast dwelling within the shadows...just how safe was the child here?

It was an true concern, but it wasn't one that Victoria had at the moment. The girl was simply focus on getting back now that she had accomplish all of her goals. Besides, if the Weavile had any sense they would take that as a miss chance and vanish ...would be the girls' thought on the subject. The scent of their encounter might lead the brat's parents into a fight with them that they might actually regret.

Though this was logic, and it didn't figure into reality all the time as the girl walks. Aella shaking time and again, she hadn't chosen to glide for a while as she tries to let the sun literally air dry her ....as they walked.

It was a long way to the boats.

Claudandas had sat and listened to Jasmine's tale, wondering as those golden, glowing eyes settled on her, alight even in the edge of the shadows, framed by the eccentric pink highlights through his fur.

He listened and wondered... those stories about humans, the ones the others had told, about being trapped and confined, forced into enslavement... were they true? If humans did that to their own kind. To their own offpsring; then what qualm did they have with mistreating pokémon?

He had seen the Buneary and Eevee who walked over their very feminine looking trainer... a Gengar who certainly had no qualms about self expression with one of their high ranking pack members... Were his old friends right... was Jasmine just the lucky exception he had found?

Or was Jasmine the unlucky one, who had came across the part of her species pokémon here so often despised?

He had to wonder. But while he chewed upon the matter, there was another noise of chewing, he looked up, then so did she. By the time she had adjusted her eyes into the gloom to see the luminous pink poison rabbit there munching happily, Claudandas was already counting how many spines the male Nidoran had!

Jasmine could have leapt up to ask it, but Claudandas' claws extended lightly, just a n**, not even breaking skin, but enough to tell her to look to the Purrloin who shook his head. [Perhaps it would be best I did the talking.]

While Jasmine didn't understand, she watched the cat get up, stretch his hind legs out, then pounce with a practised silence, down to the mossy section of the wall before the Nidoran. There, he settled himself, looking prim and proper as he sat tall on his haunches, a bob of the head to the poison type, all while Jasmine watched.

[Excuse me, I don't wish to interrupt your eating... but my companion is in need of certain items for a special errand]

[Would you be so kind to spare her a few of your spines, if we could help you in any fashion?]

If Jasmine could have heard the cat, she may have marvelled how he was copying her mannerisms, but the copycat Purrloin sat there, knowing full well this Nidoran may have a manner in mind to 'donate' those spines where the sun didn't shine!

The Nidoran male was a bit surprised to find his peace and quiet ruin by the sound of the cat's voice as he twitches an ear a bit. But turned his back on the pokemon until he hears the offer and turns back around with a look of pure boredom on his face. Though his ears standing straight up would give away the fact that the pokemon had his full attention.

((How many spines are we talking about?))

He was asks as he starts to paw the ground again.

((And, do you have a berry to give me? I love berries, especially since being underground like this ...we see little in vegetation other than Moss and roots and such.))

It would seem he was quickly opening up to the cat as he continued onwards.

((I always wanted to eat a berry, so if you get me a berry ...I will let you have some of my spines. As long as you aren't asking for too many.))

Though he was able to power through the winds, it was the tail flick that got him as he just barely missed his mark. Darn it, darn it! He growled in frustration, looking up at the Aerodactyl.

Ok, he had a problem now. He was way too close to the dinosaur, and if he turned around and ran he'd leave his back wide open. "Impro..." His ears perked up, yes, he was listening. "Get out of there!" He snorted, yeah, he knew that already! The dog growled, keeping his eyes on the Aerodactyl as he crouched down.

His fur stood on his ends to try and make himself look larger, and those golden eyes of his seemed to have a sort of fiery spark. Be brave, be bold, but be smart too! Even though he was standing up to the Aerodactyl, he was still cautious, and the fire type was slowly walking backwards to keep a distance, but his eyes never left the fossil pokemons.

If he turned away just once, he was sure this wouldn't end well.

Claudandas had a cheshire cat grin there, it was good to know that the cat wasn't being told to shove the spines anywhere, he watched and sat patiently as the Nidoran pawed away at the ground and spoke.

And it seemed he had struck very, very lucky.

He didn't know much about Berries, but he knew Jasmine had not been very happy looking when they found out it was a Cornn Berry they'd found?

He considered for a moment... they hadn't been told HOW many spines to acquire... [We have a Cornn Berry.]

[We were not told how many spines we would require... if you could give as many as you can spare, I imagine it would be more than enough.]

[Is that acceptable?]

Victoria's footsteps would echo briefly, but she wouldn't be met by a ravenous band of Sneasel. In fact, she didn't even seem to be in the same area of the Crater. Instead of being at the bottom, she appeared to be halfway up the side of it, though all the paths from their lead down into the Canyon.

In a fashion though, it made sense that the crater would have more then a single entrance and exit. Rocks, worn over time would give way to knew openings...and Pokemon seeking to avoid predator's would certainly seek out safer paths.

The only question was...had she wandered onto a path for predator or prey?

The loss of composure disappeared as the ticking and grinding of gears increased within the massive Golurk. Body giving a mechanical groan, the ghostly guardians body swiveled around; first the top, and then the bottom. The specter had little fear of deflecting it's opponent as had been done before; the strike might have looked strong, but there was little to be truly concerned about.

Raising one arm, the Golurk swing it forward to swat Ryu as it had done before.

The Nidoran's ploy would work...though perhaps not in the fashion she desired, as the Anorith turned her attention to Phoebe. Ancient or not, the Pokemon knew full well a human wasn't as dangerous as a Pokemon. Giving her own ear splitting screech, the Anorith leaped at the Nidoran, intending to bowl her over!

Ryuu managed to crunch down pretty harshly on the pokemon. The Larvitar's teeth had managed to tear into the pokemon and left a chunk of rock in his mouth. Instead of eating it down, he tossed it to the side wearily watching his opponent. But as his opponent didn't move, he looked puzzled for a second. Ah, his last attack had caused his opponent to Flinch. Knowing that the pokemon was unable to move- he charged forth with another Bite attack!

Raven halted immediately at the sight of the Gyarados, it wasn't often one saw such a beast of a natural red hue...rather then being soaked in the blood of something else. The Pokemon seemed to be raging about something...

Though way he was constantly looking and touching it, the boy could only imagine the beasts problem to be it's mustache. An odd thing for a Gyarados to be concerned with. Apparently this creature was quite vain...and as the boy looked further, he noticed the problem. Red different from the creatures scales...blood...given it's appearance before him, the Skorupi he'd slain.

Raven resisted the urge to let out a slightly morbid laugh. He'd forsaken his family, and cursed his father's name...yet, now it was something that very man had taught him, which would be of extreme aid this day.

Aside from being a fat, pompous fool, Raven's father had also been quite vain; which often confused the boy considering the man's weight. Still, the man had often taken his four sons aside to 'teach them' the necessities of caring for the facial hair they'd eventually grow...by making them groom his. Yes, as retched as the memories were, Raven was actually quite experience in caring for the mustache of someone else.

Out of shear habit, and the hope that he might find some other use for them, the boy still happened to keep some of the necessary materials. Heaving a sigh, the boy motioned for the Sneasel to lean closer to his head so as not to fall, then removed his hands from her legs. Reaching into the pouch on his back he removed a small comb, and a canister of a special type of oil. According to his father at least, the liquid was meant to make the mustache softer, with a faint sheen to it. No doubt the contents were likely expensive as well...

"Excuse me! I think I can HELP!" The boy called out loudly, attempting to be heard over the Gyarados's rage. Holding out the canister in one hand, the child motioned with the comb for the Gyarados to come down closer. His intent was particularly clear. There was really only one thing one could be expected to do with such materials.
