Grant looked back at the castle to see what if anything was going on up there. Looking back to the people coming into the castle gates he continued to help them.
Jenny walked around Jewlet wondering what she was doing. Letting out a few deep breaths Jenny walked up and licked Jewlet's face a little playfully. She knew what was coming and was concerned for Jewlet. Finally Jenny let out a neigh to locate Grant. Grant responded with his usual whistle and Jenny started to walk off stopping only for a moment to look back to Jewlet with a sad face. As if she knew what was to happen to Jewlet.

Jewlet looked at Jenny and smiled. She was shocked when Jenny licked her face. She laughed and looked down. Her face showed concern, but for other peoples life's and not for her own. She looked back up at the horse as she neighed. Jewlet turned her head toward the whistle. "Be strong, Jenny. Believe I'll be fine and I will. Plus. I always come back." She touched her lower right arm. "I will be fine." She narrowed her eyes and the air around her got heavier. Using her powers she put her hair in a bun so it would be out of the way.

The hoard of troops reached the town gates and where being held off well enough. Grant was a little relieved at this. As Jenny came up the path to the castles siege gate Grant was a little confused. Shouldn't she be coming from the castle? That's where she should have taken mother and Jewlet. Grant was too busy with what was going on to worry about it though. As Jenny rode up Grant Jumped onto her back. "Take me to the castle girl. I have words for the council. Jenny looked back down the trail for a moment. after Grant said this making Grant wonder. "What is it girl?" He asked Jenny. Jenny looked a moment more before shaking her head and riding for the castle. Though he didn't make it far before running into mobs of people standing at the castle gates. "What's going on here?" Grant asked generally into the crowd. "Sir. Grant?" A man responded. "I'm so glad your hear. The guards closed the gate and are refusing to open it because they say we're under attack already." Grant sighed and shook his head. "Make way! I mist speak to the counsel" Grant shouted.

The Queen completely forgot about Alexander's words as she heard the continuous ringing and then sudden stop of the town bell. She lifted a gloved hand to her mouth and her eyes visibly widened. All of her thoughts froze for a split second, then she was in action. Even in her moment of clear shock, the queen recovered, her face resumed it's calm, polite expression. Her voice, however, held a slight shake that would only be noticed by the most observant. "I'm sorry to cut our company short Prince Dainne," She looked him straight in the eye, as if she were searching for something. "But I have very urgent business to attend too at the moment. May we all be able to resume our tea after wards." As she was leaving, purposely taking her measured steps, she noticed the slight glint of a gem on Dainne's sword hilt. Yes, a further meeting would be in her best interests. "Please, remain in the castle for the moment."
The destination she had in her mind first was wherever she could find Grant. It had to have been him ringing the town bell, but he could be anywhere right now. It would be a bad idea to seek him now. She had to consult with the council and see what could be done about the impending attack.

Deciding not to question the Queen on her sudden change in plans, Dainne simply bowed as she turned and walked away. He called out to her before she was out of range, "I look forward to our conversation! Until such a time mi'lady!" Sighing, he folded his arms and turned back to look at his three companions. He knew that something wasn't right. Although the change in her voice wouldn't be noticeable by many, his special hearing had easily let him know that something was not as it should be. Frowning he looked at Leon and made a small gesture with his hand. "I know you well enough that you noticed. Go find out what is wrong. I will have nothing interfere with what it is we came here to do."
Leon bowed and without a word walked over to a window on the other side of the room. Without hesitation he opened it and jumped out, disappearing from view. Aiden looked at Dainne and pointed at both the Prince and himself before pointing again at the floor. Dainne sighed and nodded. "I realize the Queen told us to stay here Aiden. However, though I may be in her Kingdom, she is not my Queen. I am free to come and go as I please since the Council approved my presence. I will not doing anything to jeopardize our position here, but I will not wait like a simple coward as possible danger approaches."
Aiden let out a huff of air. Shrugging he bowed to Dainne and took his place next to him. He looked at Alexander and pointed again, obviously asking what to do about him. Dainne chuckled and rested a hand on his shoulder. "That is not for me to decide Aiden, you should well know that." He looked to Alexander and smiled softly. "Sir Alexander, I apologize, but it would seem that something is amiss in your Kingdom. Until I found out what, I cannot guarantee your safety if you remain with me. If you choose to follow, that is your choice. As a free man, you must make your own decisions. I myself will be heading to the guard station. If anything is wrong, I hope they would tell me. If not... well I shall find out anyway.
With that said he turned and began to walk out of the room, being sure to keep his pace slow enough to remain dignified and unhurried in appearance, and to allow Alexander to catch up if he so decided to follow. Aiden changed his usual distance, walking now slightly in front, rather than behind Dainne. If anything were to happen, it would have him to deal with first.

"There is obviously a threat here and I will stay by your side as Henna told me to."
No matter who asked him to do something, Alexander would listen to Henna above all else and she told him to stay by Dainne's side and guide him through the castle. Even if that task was basically complete, Alexander had a bad feeling about something ahead and he didn't feel comfortable leaving Dainne alone or even Henna. Alexander would need to find her and protect her, but hopefully she wasn't in harm's way.
"I've dealt with guards in my time; I guarantee they won't give us trouble."
Alexander was referring to the numerous times he had dealt with the Knights set up as guards and if they were just dealing with regular guard, it would be just a walk in the park. Dianne seemed pretty wise, but Alexander was rich and years, meaning his wisdom and experiences would prove maybe quite valuable to Dainne in the event to come.
"Enough chatting; you need to address this problem now or it may escalate higher then we expect."
Despite Alexander’s calm emotionless appearance, he was extremely worried about what could and maybe even would happen soon. Alexander could just sense people were in danger, but whom? Himself? Dainne? Even Henna? No, that couldn't be it, there was far more at stake then Alexander was giving credit for and being by Dainne's side meant he would hopefully find out what dangers were threatening his home.

Grant reached the front gate though the crowd. "OPEN THE DAMB DOOR!!" Grant shouted up to the guards. The guard looked down and was shocked. "Captain?" The guard said. Grant replied with a deep and stern "NOW!!" The guard quickly opened the door a crack as grant darted though it. He road Jenny up the stairs to the upper court yard and into the main hall before getting off. Pushing frantic guards out of the way Grant kicked open the doors to the counsel. "What is going on around here. We have a massive hoard of horsemen at the city gates!" He yelled and slammed his fist on the table. "Did you forget to reassign a captain or is he just an idiot?"

The council was shock at the sudden action. Most of them hid under the large table they were sitting at. Which goes to show you that they were nothing but cowards. Only two men still standing at their spot. One with dark raven hair and other with gold blond. The blond hair man shouted, "What is the meaning of this! Can't you see we are con..." The man didn't get the chance to finish. Grant roared so much at the poor guy that he looked like he was about to piss his pants. Meanwhile, the darker hair man kept quite until grant was finished. "It's good to see you again. We are aware of the situation, thanks to the bell ringer. I will adventure a guess that that was you. We were in the middle of consulting who is fit to be captain and what to do about the horsemen. As you can see from all the chaos, there isn't much to choose from." He walked over to Grant. "So here's the deal. You have temporary control of the guards." From behind a fuming blond got to his feet. "Now you wait one dar..." The raven haired man clamped the blond man's mouth as he glared at him. "I believe you've barked enough. Now SIT!" The dark hair man turn back to grant. "Like I was saying, if you don't mind doing so. We will eternally grateful, and might reconsider your suspension." The man quickly whipped his head around to look at the rest of the counsel, "Agreed!" Everyone, including the blond nod their heads. The man smiled at this, "Good. So sir Grant. What do you say."
[blah, I now it's a lot and I'm moving quick. But I just want to get the ball rolling so people can start playing.]

She did not reply to his final words and simply kept walking. The kingdom was in turmoil, they were under attack, Grant was nowhere to be found, and she'd lost a perfect opportunity to appraise Dainne. She had to get to the root of the problem, and the first step in that was to consult the council, she was sure of it now. But... after that, what would she do? What could she do? The enemy was probably already very close by now, if not here. There wouldn't be much planning she could do that the Captain couldn't. The Queen was probably wrong, she hoped she would be wrong. This battle couldn't be left to chance, no, there was far too much at stake.
And with that final, grim thought in her mind, she made her way to the council room. Before she entered through a the open door however, she heard yelling. Instantly the voice was recognized as Grant's. She didn't say anything and stayed clear of the door opening. The Queen didn't like to eavesdrop, but it was necessary in this situation. What was he doing here? He should be commanding his troops into battle, not yelling at men and women under royal employ. As she continued to listen, her face coloured and her mind began to move. Why were they talking about who is fit to be captain? Grant was the captain, and a a fine one as well. Temporary control? He was given full control! What was the council doing? She wanted to barge into the room and ask what the meaning of this was, but something in her mind told her to keep listening.

"I'll take command for the people's sake but our discussion here is far from over." Grant wanted to say more but their was little time. Grant whipped around, knocking over a chair, and walked out. "Come on Jenny." Grant said as he walked by. Reaching the upper courtyard Grant looked around before grabbing a passing guard. "I'm back in charge now. I want ten men in the courtyard in 3 minutes or it's your head." Grant pushed the guard back and he ran off. Grant then looked around at the frantic guards. Shaking his head he made his way down to the lower courtyard and waited for the men to get there.

As the crew wonder when were they going to get inside. A large black clysdale came galloping up the path. On it's back were a bunch of elderly people holding on for dear life. Behind the horse was Niro making sure no one fall off. Once the got there, he helped out the old folks off Kotoro's back. "There you go. I have to go, will you be ok for now on." The old man smiled at him. "We'll be fine sonny. Now go, you have better things to do then look after us." Niro gave the man a gentle smile. "Thanks, I'll get you guys inside shortly. Come on Kotoro!" In one flowing movement, Kotoro dipped in his gallop as to allow Niro to grab hold and hop onto his back. The carefully made their way to the gate. He looked up at the guard tower, "Open up! It's me Niro!" The guard looked down at him with a very displeased look. "You! Where in the world have you been!" Niro glared up at the guy, "Grr, We don't have time for this! Just open up the blasted door!"
