This was possibly the most boring part of this task, Imuiel reflected as he almost broke through the floor. All it was was walking, and even with the added hazards provided by a decrepit floor, he couldn't really find much to keep himself engaged.

Another short start, and Imuiel temporarily threw caution to the wind, bolting across the floor with reckless abandon.
He was doing well until he actually put a hole through the floor, at which point he pulled himself out, cursing and more than a little frustrated.

This time she had gotten the hang of it and walked over them, grabbing from chain to chain and swinging. It was still a kind of fun, or so she thought and she was grinning when she finally had made it, looking back at it and sticking out her tongue.
It was time to move on and she bounced ahead with excitement.

Among the broken rides and abandoned areas there was a building with "Gifts" on top of it. Mel'ae liked gifts as far as she knew and wandered into it. It was dark and her eyes took more time to adjust as she looked around. Was something in here? Something she wanted? She gazed over at the very far end of the store.
There it was!
Mel'ae clapped her hands and took 5 steps. She jumped on the last one to avoid falling into a hole and she looked down. Carefully she thought to herself. This was yet another place where one wrong move and down you go.

She was better at leaping, but stuck to hopping carefully as she continued, eyes focused on the prize. Mel'ae was making good progress thus far but stopped after 6 hops and looked ahead. It looked like it might get more dangerous.

She was hitting another stride and she smiled at the end. It was so close but so far away she could hardly stand it. Mel'ae took a few more steps, knocking over a few discarded toys which fell into a hole in the floor. That won't be me.

It was hard work but she stood in front of the display, looking inside of it. Reaching two hands in she moved one of the orbs out and smiled suddenly, feeling another swelling inside. A blessing, she'd found another one? Mel'ae smiled and turned, feeling rather gleeful.
Looking back at where she had come in she was not worried about making it back to the entrance. It was warmer now and she felt stronger, more able. And now she would search for yet another blessing, taking the one she'd just gotten with her to help.

He was so close now, and he could see the glow cast by the blessings just ahead. Only a few more steps, and he'd be able to claim one of them for himself--Imuiel just had to be careful, else all his carefully-placed steps would be for naught. And like hell he was going to walk all the way back through here today, too.
