Kat watched him sleep but couldn't keep her eyes closed long enough to even attempt to fall asleep. She just layed there hugging him and staring at his adorable sleeping face. She brushed a stray peice of hair away from his face and watched him then entire night. She didn't get a wink of sleep.

Jeff moaned. "uuugghhh." He tried to get up but pain shot through his left side. 'Screw this," he thought and just stayed down. He felt Yakov and wondered what was happening to the girls.

Goddamnitalltohell. Luka ran towards Connor, but was too late to stop the throw. "Are you trying to piss her off?!" She ran towards...what was her name...Aurora. "Aurora! Please stop!"

Aurora felt the blade pierce the back of her leg and looked back.
"What was that? A bee sting?" It did hurt, maybe a little more than it should have... but it wasn't doing any serious damage. "Who chucked that?" She was going to ignore the fact that people were cussing at her and she had food under her paw. It was time for people to just knock it off and let her eat.

Jeff opened his eyes and cursed, "********..." He couldn't think of anything else to say. His brain was overrun by pain to think straight.

Yakov smiled. "Now's probably not the time for that, but I'm glad your feeling that well." It was meant as sarcasm, but he was to worried for it to come out quite right.

Had Luka really called this beast Aurora? A pang of sadness sliced into his heart. He like Aurora. She had helped him, after all. But duty was duty, and human lives came first. That was in his job description.

Aurora looked back at Connor. "Why would you do that? I save your life and you try to kill me? I'm trying to eat, people! Go away! I don't disturb your meals, do I?"

Kat yawned and shook her head. "No, but my body is rather rested. My mind, not so much..." Her voice was a bit scratchy. She kissed his cheek and smiled at him.

Jeff wanted to roll his eyes but the major headache he was now suffering from along with his bodily injuries he decided against. "Ha...I think...my ribs...and my arm..." It hurt his chest to speak let alone breathe.

"I'm trying to stop her!" Connor answered Luka. He was trying hard not to shout. "Reasoning obviously didn't work, and pain catches someone's attention no matter who they are." He turned back to Aurora. "And you... work takes precedence over debt."

"Work? What work? I'M NOT JOINING YOUR STUPID GANG!!!" She moved her paw from the girl and turned to face him fully. "You can say whatever you want but I am not playing doctor for all of you drugees! I'm trying to be a doctor so I can do something constructive with my life, not destructive." She glared at the full company.

"We're not in a gang!" Connor told Aurora, ignoring Luka. "I'm a hunter, so I have to protect humans from you, like that girl there." He indicated Aurora's prey, who looked understandably terrified. "If you let her go, I won't do anything else. Hell, I'll even take care of your leg."
