Ryan was muttering something under his breath now, as he attacked. Probably, a steady stream of curses, all of which were, more than likely, directed at Caelius.

Saya crawled under the table Glenda was under, making a "shh" motion as if that would help the monster from attacking the table. Another glyph, formed under Glenda this time, as Saya tried to breath deeply to concentrate her healing.
"You should last for a little w-while more.. although, I'm not sure how much.. Miss?"
Saya realized she didn't know Glenda at all.

Come onnnn, money makers. The moneymakers being Balthazar. It's pretty weird to talk about a two piece weapon with one name. It's like he's two parts of the magician girl who gets sawed in half, which is sort of what happened, I guess. The boss was getting closer, and holy s**t, it was pretty much just as ugly all zoomed in as it was from afar. Clerise was maybe having second thoughts. But hey, if they could fight a tentacle monster, why not some weirdass chimerical horror from a ghost ship. She didn't even know how to justify this any more-- she left that to smarter people. Zombie ghost waiters kind of freaked her out, and spiders were definitely gross, but Maebe's real problem came when all of these things occurred while the lights were out. It wasn't fair, really. The entire problem with a fear of the dark was that you were scared of what could happen to you while you couldn't see. And here, in the dark, surrounded by things she knew were absolutely trying to attack her, there was no maybe about it - she shut down, trapped down deep inside of herself once the darkness blanketed over them. Her eyes shut, because the darkness she knew was safer than the darkness she feared. Spiders tickled her skin, raising goosebumps on her flesh. She whimpered, diving even deeper down until she could ignore everything she felt anymore. Was Lucky still on her lap, still in her arms? Was Jude still beside her, telling her everything was okay? She couldn't chance the possibility of seeing or feeling something she didn't want, in order to check. She vaguely knew she was shaking, but she refused to let herself feel even that. She just closed her eyes, curled up tight, and wished as hard as she could for everything to turn back to normal again, like it had the last time a monster showed up. It would happen, right? Eventually. Distantly, Maebe thought of some imaginary contract she had to sign to become a Hunter. If it had mentioned so much work in the dark, she probably would have broken the pen in half.

He wasn't looking as he started to swing at a flying tentacle, he almost gave the death leader Caelius a new hair cut that he was sure not to want. Then he gave him a look, a look that sent a shiver down his back before he went sprawling across the floor. s**t it hurt like a rib was cracked in his chest, he couldn't just be healing could he? Sitting it out like a nurse nooo he was in battle. Kasi on the other gasped as she crashed into the floor, how dare Matt drop her.
