Ray turned around and swallowed. It was the girl that he recognized from the Hospital Wing. "Oh. Hello," he said, smiling and brushing any crumbs from his mouth with a careless sweep with the back of his hand.

Desiree raised an eyebrow at the girl. She seemed to be rushing towards the kitchens with a slightly guiltridden look on her face. "Watch out when you get in there. The elves have way too many leftovers frmo the Halloween Ball, you're going to be accosted."

Having been caught, Elle smiled sheepishly, "Uhhh....hi....heh..." I knew it wasn't going to work....
"Accosted?" Elle grimaced, she really didn't want to get attacked AGAIN after having her leg twisted hours earlier.
"Uhm....would you mind sharing your food with me?" Elle ventured hesitantly, praying to Merlin that they are generous people...

Desiree looked up to Ray and then back at the girl. "I was only joking you know, they won't kill you, and you'd probably get more food from them than us."

Ray offered a large portion of something square and custard filled. "We've got more than we can manage," he assured her. "Go on, take it."

"Oh wow, thank you so much!" she said, taking the food gratefully. Taking a tentative bite, she felt like she was in heaven.
"This is soooo goood!" she whispered, tearing up from the sugary goodness. Realizing that the two were still in front of her, she quickly turned around and ate the rest, before turning back to them and grinning,
"Heh...thanks...uhhh...so uhmmm...I'm Elle, nice to meet you!" she greeted, trying to start a conversation.

Perhaps this girl wasn't completely normal. But then again, this was Hogwarts. Who was? "I'm Ray," said Ray with a smile. "Fourth year, Hufflepuff. What about you?"

"Cool...I'm a 5th year, Gryffindor..." Elle replied, brushing her blue and brown hair away from her eyes. She could tell that they thought she was pretty strange but she didn't really care. After all, she was always over-enthusiastic about everything and she could never act her age... Oh well....I have a hard life...
She turned to the other girl, "What house are you in?"

"Er....Ravenclaw." Thank goodness. The weight from the basket nearly caused Desiree to drop it, but she fixed her grip on it last minute. "This is getting awfully heavy. We should be moving on."

Ray grinned and picked up the basket, which was pretty heavy. "Nice meeting you, Elle," he told her, as he and Desiree headed the other way.
Peter looked at his friend, puzzled. "Does what fit?"

Desiree forced herself not to look back over her shoulder at the girl as she walked away, mumbling low so only Ray could hear. "She's a bit sixes and sevens yeah?"
((sixes and sevens is british for crazy))
Jess raised an eyebrow, still appearing calm but on the inside getting admittedly nervous.

Ray nodded. "A bit more than a bit, yeah. Nice, though," he said with a shrug, in typical Ray fashion.

"Mhmm." Deisree looked to the basket before grabbing onto Ray's free hand. "So where do we want to go eat this?"

"Err...a common room, maybe?" suggested Ray. He looked out of a window. "Or...it's sunny now. We could go out by the lake."
