Pushed off balance from the odd position, Beldaeyn stumbled backa step as the woman's hand came down at him. Luckily, the clothing he wore was covered by adamantine armour - the same material his weapons were forged of - disguised to look as weak leather armour. With such a material, the claws would scrape against him with little effect.

With the head of the weapon having force pushed against it, he simply released his own force and let the woman's force add to his own as he swung the butt end of the weapon up at her head. He knew this would do no permanent damage against such a being, but at least it would probably give him some distance and time to think.

The elf was wearing armor, how deliciously deceitful. But before she could think further on that matter, the blunt end of his weapon would strike her face, sending her stumbling back a few steps as the elf retreated. Shaking her head from the blow, she righted herself and licked her lips.

What was effective against vampires? Silver, magic, fire, and sunlight. He carried no silver weapons, and thus, that option was scratched. His skill in the magical arts were not that great, which limited his choices. Fire could be created through a form of magic perhaps. And sunlight; it was dark, the sun had already setted, however, he might have a solution.

With a quick word, he let go of his weapon with his left hand and shot it up. "Ssussun!" And in the palm of his hand, a globs of light would be created. Even if it was not as damaging as real sunlight, this artificial light glowed with the same intensity, though was confined to asmall area, just enough to surround himself in a light as bright as day.

With a hiss, she brought her arms up to shield her feral eyes. Light, the bane of the vampirical race. With a hissing growl, she was forced to retreat into the darkness of the forest, for she dared not enter the light which protected the elf. How bothersome, now her meal would get away and she would have to go find something else. though of course, she watched the man through the foliage for any chance at him again.

With the vampire gone from his path, he was able to move freely again. If not for his quick thoughts and actions, this may had come out for the worse for him, but that was not the case.

"Cha'kohken ulu dos vreg'nth klu'chud." he spat out a curse as he moved down the path, keeping the light close to him as he moved through the forest towards the safety of the town. Where possibly the worse thing he could go up against was the town itself, but at least those beings could be dealt with by conventional means.

Ho Shin

As Shin moved forward, a voice reached his ears. He still limped forward, his left hand on his right shoulder. He turned his head to the right and through one eye, he peered at the being who had called to him.

Tenma...

It hurt to move, it hurt to breathe, and it hurt to talk. But he had to do something. He had to usher in a single word at least, some word to give direction, to give meaning to where he was headed. He mentioned one word.

"Latent.."

The Town of Latent, that was were most survivors were headed. He figured that that was were he should head to. He knew this fact, everyone knew this fact...if anything went amiss, they would head there. He stumbled onward in the direction of the town.

As he moved past Tenma, he saw another individual moving torwards him how in the distance and to the side. The image was fuzzy, but he was clearly moving as if he had not been injured at all during the exsplosion...or he was never near here. Whatever the case, Shin hoped it was not a hostile, he could not take much more...not yet.

Walking with shin he nodded as he uttered a single word. He wasn't sure if shin needed help or not but he didn't look exactly healthy and happy. He was focusing on Shin right now so he didn't notice the person at all. He slid his mask back making sure it was lined up right and began to walk with shin, wondering whther he should help or not. He didn't want to annoy shin or anything, just didn't know what to doo right now. He was a soldier, he was used to acting on orders.

The little shadow hadbeen watching what had been going on fitfully, tugging on Eien's cloth top as she whimpered fearfully, not understanding what was going on around her at all. When she heard Eien's soothing voice she smiled as a sparkling tear ran down her cheek and she welcomed the comforting hand that drew the her down to the woman's bosum as the tiny shadow snuggled against her newly dubbed mother.

"Mama..."

~Prruuu, ppuu...~

The sound of an idle motorcyle can be heard throughout the dead forest. Our hero was on this motorcycle.. well.. sleeping on it with his arms wrapped around the waist of none other than Rose.

The feeling that they weren't moving anymore disturbed his sleeping comfort and caused him to begin to wake up. The dead forest was pretty dead. But if Reiko minded his own business he might not have too much trouble.

"Why are we stopping?"

"Because I'm tired."

"Tired of what? It's a motorcycle."

"Look [inaudible]"

"Okay! Okay! You're tired..."

Reiko turned around so that his back relaxed against hers Rose's on the motorcycle, at least, until she got up to stretch, leaving Reiko to fall back and bust his head on some hard steel.

Shouyin's hunk of junk came barreling through the dirty forest road, rumbling and grumbling to its discontent. He was pretty sure one of the tires had popped on his way from that crummy hideout, but kept on a'driving nonetheless. This was, of course, to the distress of anyone who had to hear this most pained of vehicles. For you see, Shouyin, although very much a jack of all trades, had never truly mastered driving, and it was blatantly obvious to anyone unfortunate enough to see him barreling down a highway, in the wrong lane.

And thus, did Shouyin happen to pass the man he'd set himself to hunting for for a substantial amount of time, and stir up an unhealthy dust cloud in his wake. But, our true hero did not seem to notice.

...

...

"OH s**t!"

The brakes screeched loudly and the sound of a shifter being broken could be heard before Shouyin attempted to perform a U-turn, ramming the car into a tree, and ending its most unhappy life. Our good half-golem worked his way out of the rear windshield, the only available exit, and began running back towards his target.

Finally, he reached the man, and his company, slightly huffing, and rearranging his hair so it wasn't so out of sorts. A final check that he, and all his clothing was in tact, and he spoke.

"You, me, we gotta fight."

"Fight? Am I getting paid? I'm not doing any fighting for free."

Reiko rubbed his head and continued to lay back on the motorcycle. He started to close his eyes as they moved around to different spots. His arms and legs draped down the sides of the motorcycle, displaying his completely relaxed state.

"Go fight a tree."

Fighting someone? Nope, not until figures out more about people having Pupu power.

Say what? This was not the reaction Shouyin had been expecting, and it distressed him. This man was a true fighter, a beast. He'd taken Shouyin down like that. And now he couldn't even be bothered to give him little more than the slightest piece of mind!? Shouyin put his left hand not four inches from the man's temple.

"Fight me, or I shove this spike through your brain." 'Lo and behold, said spike had begun to work its way out of Shouyin's palm and closer and closer to said brain.

"Fine.."

Reiko yawned as his left arm shot up to to grab Shouyin's wrist and push it upwards above his head. Then, for no reason at all, quickly turned to the right to pull Shouyin on top of him horizontally like a blanket....

Which would of course cause both of them to fall off the bike.

And Reiko would continue trying to sleep, even though he was on top of some other guy who he didn't remember.

Sweet. As Reiko's arm moved Shouyin let the spike grow just long enough to painfully scratch the side of his opponent's head. Now he could happily say to himself that he got a mark on the guy. He allowed the man to grab him, but the pulling motion was rather unexpected. Bracing himself as best he could, he fell with Reiko. This was annoying...the spike that'd scratched the man's head would shift into five smaller ones that would burst through his opponent's left hand, while a similar five would do the same to Reiko's right.

Pointy Attack Twelve: Five Point Moon, now that was a name.

"Ow.." And that was all he had to say to everything, except his right hand, since unless Shouyin grabbed it himself or something, it was nowhere near him.

And that was that... scratched and hand bleeding Reiko went to sleep.
