maggie_mae oh, and don't feel bad about not knowing how to ski. i've lived up north all my life and have never skiied once. i just don't see the appeal of strapping long pieces of fiberglass to my feet and hurtling myself down the side of a mountain. maybe it's just me. blaugh xd

Zetan I think shipping yourself here would be slightly less distance (and not crossing borders is always easier) so come see my snow. My room-mate vanished mysteriously, so I've got a spare bed. And I always have more money on my meal plan than I actually use. ninja ninja

Once you learn a bit of control, it has the same appeal as biking, or anything else fast where you're in control of it. Kind of exhilerating. I have to try whee

Zetan MellyBean We use anything here. Cardboard, crazy carpets, sleds, saucers, plastic bags xp , my mum used an old car hood once. 3nodding I think the word "tobogganing" must be more common up in your area... around here, we call it sledding unless you are using, well, a toboggan. Which, at least around here, is just that certain type of wooden sled with the metal runners underneith and all that. Anything else (like cardboard and plastic sleds) is just called sledding. But I guess we can just brush it off as you crazy Canadians talking funny again. wink Hehe, j/k. Those crazy Canadians rolleyes xd

maggie_mae random: right before i left boston i bought a really big bottle of jergens lotion. when i left, i didn't bring it with me as i thought i would be back in a few weeks. that didn't happen, and i have no idea if my father packed it when he brought back all of my crappola. i've poked through my things and i haven't seen it, but i'm almost afraid that if i spend the $4 on a new bottle i'll find the old one and then i'll have more lotion than i'll be able to use in a lifetime.
should i just go and spend the four bucks? i mean, really?
also, why am i such a loser? sweatdrop You're not a loser 3nodding
I'd spend the money, then you wont have to worry about buying anymore. 3nodding
