ChronoSpark IceFantasy ChronoSpark IceFantasy ChronoSpark ok...time for a mini lesson on US government. here is how the US Government works:  there are 3 branches, as you can see. there are also 2 main parties in the USA (many others, but only 2 ever get elected...): the Republicans and the Democrats. Republicans = conservative = bush. Democrats = liberal = me. XD ...the legislative branch, as you can see, is made up of the house of representatives and the senate. in november, elections were held to elect the people of congress, and the democrats came out with a majority of seats. congress is what passes laws, makes legislation, etc... =P *grabs notebook and takes notes* I had no idea that the Republicans were the conservatives and the Democrats were the liberals ... not sure what I thought they were but not that they were the same thing sweatdrop ... So you a happy boy then ... and hoping Bush will get his asse kicked then ... Oh I see ... we dont work that way ... whoever wins the most seats, leads the country ... pretty simple really ... hehe Btw ... thanks for that little bit of info ... more stuff I've learnt today XD yeah, your government works the same way it does in Great Britain..o.o *is a political junkie* .___.; yeeah... this is the stuff i actually paid attention to in school >.>;; and yes, i'm very happy. i'm hoping this will pave the way for a better USA. the past 6 years have been total s**t. we've been bogged down by the Republicans, but now it's time for some change. hopefully when we elect a new president in 2008, it'll be a Democrat... >.< You know what I think of you ... still reminds the same ... like WOW ... you amaze me with the things you know ... hehe Well we are stuck with the bonsai for another 3 years or something ... *sighs* ... and if no decent opposition leader can be found ... he will win again ... I'll have my fingers crossed for you then ... yep yep .___.; i dunno what to say...why do i amaze you with this stuff? i dun get it... and yeah, we have Bush for another 2 years. ...but man, will that last day of his be a glorious one..*sighs dreamily thinking about it* and that's the reason Tony Blair stayed in office despite him not having a lot of support for their last election. his party won... that's a flaw, i think, in that type of democracy. not saying American democracy isn't flawed, it is... but still...
I dont know ... someone your age should be out drinking and partying and killing brian cells thats all ... hehe ... not knowing all about the different government bodies of the world ... comparing bibles and certain passages ... that reminds me, I have a lesson to learn about that XD ... it just surprises me thats all ...

but how can a leader rule if he doesnt have his party behind him ?? If he is just the leader and the rest doesnt support him ... how does anything get done ?? |

If he is just the leader and the rest doesnt support him ... how does anything get done ?? well...i do party... when my friends are around. i spent Senior year of high school partying every other weekend .___.; and i've done some of the most hardcore drugs out there. experimenting..don't do them >.>; not a junkie... i've done some of the craziest s**t. i just..happen to also be vary knowledgeable XD ..i dunno, i like to think i break conventions and that i'm an individual. it's just weird to hear someone keep telling me that. and thanks >.>; i know that... well that's why we have all 3 branches of the government check and balance the others. ...this is a bit of a complicated piece of it..um...for example...the legislative branch (congress) can pass a piece of legislation, a bill or a law, right? but the executive branch (president) has the power to veto that bill. you know, to prevent it from going into law... but then the judicial branch has the power to overrule things that the president does, to decide if the president is going out of his authority. an example of this was just recently shown when the Supreme Court (judicial branch) said that the way detainees at Guantanamo Bay were being tried went against both US and international law, and that the President was overstepping his authority in the way he handled their trials...
