There is a family of racoons that have taken up residence on our porch. There are 4 babies that are so cute... then they eat all my cat's food that we sit outside for her. They also feel the need to bathe in her water dish since it is fairly large. Then they are not so cute.

I need to post the pictures that my mom took of them. They aren't as timid as I thought that they would be. I just saw them for the first time last night but, they have been coming up and looking in the doors for a while.

raccoons can also get distemper.. which looks like rabies but is not transmitable to humans. they can also be a bit agressive. their curiosity is really cute but remember that they are wild animals... hope your cat doesn't pick a fight with it... ever seen a pissed off raccoon? it's actually pretty scary....

I think she knows that they are bigger than her and could hurt her. She genrally stays away from them.

I agree with you there. Very few serious cartoons anymore too. Even the comedy-based cartoons are starting to suck.
