Alexander had himself joined the battle, but his skills with the Levitation daggers were questionable to say the least. Alexander moved gracefully through the battle field with his Levitation and at the same time doing his best to cause damage with two daggers floating by his side every time he jumped to avoid an attack. Alexander wanted the honor of fighting side by side with Grant or Dainne, but since they were higher ups, they probably didn't get their hands dirty with war; that was grunt work. Dainne probably wanted to battle, but his guards wouldn't let him; they seemed overprotective. Grant was on leave last time Alexander heard, but why wouldn't he be fighting then? He had nothing to command. Either way, Alexander had made himself a grunt since true heroism came from being brave and facing the enemy head on, not by hiding in a castle and waiting for the storm to pass.
Alexander had finished killing one man, at least his third kill today, but that wasn't saying much compared on how many he could kill if he was trained in using weapons. Alexander had to be very cautious, since one direct slice from a sword could be the end of him due to his small size, but at the same time hitting Alexander was quite difficult. The scary part of all of this was how Alexander enjoyed the terror on the face of those he killed, how they begged for mercy, but found none. This enjoyment in the death of others seemed ill founded by Alexander; he wanted to stop fighting, but know he couldn't stop till this fight was over. If the enemy didn't show his home mercy, then they deserved none.

She listened to him without a word. Prince Dainne was, in her opinion, quite an intelligent young man, but righteous in his convictions and opinions. He was a speaker, which could work against him or with him. If he let himself slip he could reveal valuable information, but he could charm a person onto his side. His questions raised more thoughts in her mind, which she again sorted out as before. Maybe she knew what they were fighting for, but she couldn't quite remember it. It was dancing merrily at the edge of her mind, but she could not catch her own answer. Still, the opposing force was becoming badly damaged. There were ripples and openings in their ranks where there should not be and already the scent of death was making it's way through the air. Truly, the Queen hated war, but she had grown up in the presence of men who lived for it. It had become almost a habit for her to assume that many men liked war. Not her husband, and certainly not Prince Dainne she hoped, but many others.
"Maybe they are fighting for something far more precious then the kingdom of Dakrim. That is the best answer I can think of right now." And truly it was. But then she caught that familiar glint again. She closed her eyes and envisioned it. How could they possibly know about that? Even if they did, they would never know where it was. The biggest question on her mind, however, was their identity. Who could they have been hired by? Were they just a decoy force?
She was snapped out of the questions game again by Dainne's voice and finally turned to look at him. This time, the Queen looked tired. She nodded as he spoke. "You are correct, and I am glad you have chosen to come willingly. For now, however, let us wait for my escort." She paused. His friends. She had overlooked their bond, perhaps. Forgotten that an employer and employee could be more then just that. She should know. "If your companions are indeed fighting, then I am even more sorry that you cannot be with them. But in times of necessity, you might not always be able to do what your heart chooses."

With his armor on and horse under foot Zireno Road to the barracks and pulled his horse onto his back legs. As the horse reared up and neighed Zireno let out a cry "Paladins! to arms!" As he did ten men in heavy armor and helmets came rushing out. Quickly they mounted their armored horses and round up behind Zireno. "To day we fight for king an country. Haa" he said giving his horse a tap with his feet and off they went towards the castle's gate. Once there he had his men in twos behind him as he waited. Looking up to the guards at the gate he shouted. "When the wall city siege gate is down open the gates here and shut them once we're out!"

Racing through the halls, the eldest prince looked desperately for Grant. This morning turn from a clam and beautiful day, to a bloody war. When he heard the warning bell, he went to his father's room in order to protect him. After a while, the king told him that he is needed and should go. Though Ric stubbornly refuse to leave his father behind, deep down he knew he was right. Once the guards came in to watch over the king, Ric went to find his mother. He hasn't talked to her since that night of the banquet. There hasn't been a day that went by that his mother's words echoed in his mind.
The castle was pure chaos. The knights didn't know what they were doing, he could hear the people yelling to come inside, and for the first time in his life. Ric was unsure of himself and his ability to lead. But that thought quickly dismissed as he order the knights to their post. Now wasn't the time to worry about what ifs, it was a time for action. He went to the music room to find his mother. Along the way he looked out one of the balconies and saw his brother with his troops at the gate. Head strong as always... He never liked how Zi always had to rush into thing. But he can't deal with him right now. He needed to find his mother. Suddenly he notice two people from the balcony below him. It was his mother and someone he had never seen before. Ric was curious as to who this strange person was and decided to investigat.

[ armor but silver and without the cap/hat] Niro jumped at the sudden order. He quickly turn to run up the stairs the queen went. Though as he ran, he cursed at the hunk of metal he had to wear. Darn this armor. I would be ten times faster if I wasn't dress like a tin can. He finally got to the balcony to find both the Queen and some man talking to each other. "Your highness. I see you have found our gust. Good. Now I have the Captain with me, all we need is the princes and we can go to the war room." At that moment, Prince Ric came into down the hall. Niro raised an eyebrow. " Well that's convenient." He waited for the prince to approach them, then bowed. "Prince Ric. Good to see you again. Please we need to find your brothers so that we all can head down to the war room."

As he reach the balcony, he notice that more people have gathered here. He was rather relieved to see Grant there too. He turn to the young man with green hair speak to him. Ric wasn't sure what to think of Niro. He knows too much for his own good. Perhaps this whole ambush was caused by him. He slightly glared down at the short man, "I'm not sure where Cyrith is at this moment. But I'm sure he will pop up eventually. As for Zireno..." He pointed outside towards the gate. "He is about to meet the enemy head on as always. Normally I would go after him, but there is no reasoning with him. So if we are going to plan some out, we better do it quickly."

[DM time, this should be it for now.]
One of the guards in the tower looked down at Zireno then look over to the knight next to him. He whispered to him, "What should we do? We were given orders to keep it shut until farther notice." The other guard shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. We're suppose to listen to our superiors. And the prince is as high as it gets." The first guard looked over towards the gate to see how long they had. "Perhaps we should just wait. The gate seems to be holding up pretty well for wood. If it goes down, we'll open it up." His partner became worried, "And the Captain?" The guard shrugged his shoulders, "We'll tell him the truth. Unless you want to tell the prince no." The other guard gulped hard, "That's ok, we'll wait."

Once Grant caught up to Niro at the balcony he bowed to the queen. "Your majesty. I'm glad we found you." Looking over he noticed Niro hadn't bowed and smacked him in the back of the head. "We seem to be holding the attack two gates out but that gate wont hold much longer. We must come up with a plan to stem this attack. I have some idea that mite..." He stop speaking as he brought his head back up and noticed a familiar face. Turning to Dainne he asked. "Have we met before?"

Once they had caught up with Niro she took a breath. Jewlet stood up straight and bowed. "Good-day." She bowed. She went quiet and listened. There had been much going on and she could tell it worried the queen. She looked down lightly and then back up. She prayed for this battle to end so the queen and the villagers could relax and feel safe. But that would not come to easily, they would have to fight.

Grant was shocked to hear he had barfed on the man and bowed to him. "It is good to see you again and I must apologies for my earlier actions. I was, errruhh, not myself." Grant then stood back up straight again. "Where are the other two that were with you, if I'm not mistaken?" Though Grant asked he knew he didn't have time for idol chit chat. He hopped the price was aware of the situation enough to feel the same way.

Dainne raised his eyebrows at the sudden influx of people, all apparently important in one way or another. Deciding to forgo the pleasantries normally expected at such a meeting, he looked at Grant first, deciding to address his questions. "Yes Sir Grant, we meet again, and in a way I must thank you. If it were not for your... indiscretion, I would not have had the opportunity the share the bed of your Henna. As for my friends, they are, I would hope, a large part of the reason your enemy has yet to break through the gates. Their flanks are in turmoil, and my men are at either one, defending your citizens the best they can. It goes without saying that I should be doing the same. Your Prince Zireno said as much himself... or rather he ordered me to fight at the front gate."
He paused momentarily, looking at the woman who came up behind Grant, before returning his gaze to the Captain. "Ah yes, I would also like to ask if you could later speak with me more of this "glowing" incident you told me of when we first met. I myself have happened to see it once, apparently on the same night you all did. It happened right when I had reached the kingdom's gates now that I think about it..."
