Sinthos rolled again in an attempt to get behind her, weaving a spell with his hooves as he moved. "Air with might, suffocate that which I fight." The intent of the spell was to make the air so thick around his target that she would be unable to breathe, forcing her to retreat.

She grabbed at her throat. Somethign was wrong with the air...the duel breed wielded more magic than she gave him credit for...but that didn't mean he would win... She pulled a small sticky grenade and attached it to the wall behind her before leaping for the door and out of the magic's range.

Sinthos retreated to the entrance to Firebolt's chamber, eying the sticky grenade. If it were anything like the last, it would explode...He wove another spell, this one for protection and cast a force field across the entrance to the door, hoping to protect both himself and Firebolt.

Outside Raze was able to breath easily. She glared back as the grenade went off. That particular caliber should have made twisted metal out of the front part of the dwelling...

Sinthos misjudged the power of the grenade and was once again sent backward and into a wall with a loud thud. He winced as a wing made an unnatural cracking noise. He ignored the pain and set out pouring his efforts into another spell of protection, this one stronger than the previous one. He banged on the floor. It didn't sound like solid steel...perhaps then...another spell would work better, one that warped the rocks. "Rock that those with hooves can't shove, I bid thee now meet ground above!" A large pillar of the stone broke through the metal with a loud creak and shot up to the ceiling, creating a thick block of hard stone where there had once been a door.

Raze glared at the unexpected obstical, "That wasn't in the plan at all..." She stepped forward and tested its strength, "Rock...solid...great...I don't have anything to bust through this..." She growled in annoyance. What a waste. She didn't even battle the hybrid long enough to get a feel for his abilities. Oh well, nothing to do but go back to base...and find something to block magic...

Sinthos let out a sigh of relief when he didn't hear another explosion, though he wasn't ready to open the hole and let her come in, if she were still waiting. Instead he sat on the floor next to Firebolt's charging form and began to look at his wing. Some of the bones were broken in several places, making it impossible for him to fly at this time. "Magnificent..." He groaned.

Several hours later Firebolt awakened, fully charged and refreshed. As she left the chamber she gasped, "By the matrix..."

Sinthos routed out and stood, "Are you well?" The injured wing hung a little off from the other one, "You were not disturbed at all and are charged properly, yes?"

"Sinthos, what happened?" her eyes widened at the sight of his wings. "You're hurt..."

"Not badly. Simply a few broken wing bones. That huntress who attacked before came back to take you again. I am afraid that she destroyed much of the front portions of your home. I am sorry that I could not protect everything."

She could hardly process what she was hearing. She'd wanted Sinthos to be safe, to stay as far away as possible from the huntress, and then he'd been forced to fight her off in Firebolt's own home... She moved to check his wings, "Can they be repaired?"

"I...do not know where else I could go," she said softly looking around the tattered ruins of what had been her home. "She'll follow me, won't she? I couldn't put anyone else in this kind of danger." She felt guilty enough over what had happened to Sinthos...
