"I singled you out? Nonsense. I did no such thing. And besides that, Potter, is not a Slytherian, now is he?"

"Well, no, of course not. He's a /Gryffindor/," Kakaru said, with a look of disgust. "You can't go around pulling students that aren't fond of others and begin rambling about a 'club', if you say something to the wrong person then you'll face consequences, then are you saying you're going to talk to random people and have this same conversation? Something about the situation doesn't seem quite right," he said, giving her a nervous glance.

She laughed. "The only reason why I know you want to be part of it is because of your father. Granted he's not doing so well at the moment, but he does talk of your ambitions. Your father knows you quite well doesn't he? At any rate, its not like I'll be walking around asking students if they would like to kill their fellow schoolmates. Geez. It almost seems you think I'm an idiot!" She ran her fingers through her hair, it was soft, even if it did have a rugged look to it.

"Ahh, my father. He scarcely knows anything about me, except what he taught me, which were just his own beliefs. That, and the appearance of the rodents that go through our yard, which I've practiced Dark magic on. After that, he barely knows my name," Kakaru said bitterly. He strongly believed his father's lack of affection and care for him caused him to grow up, living in the solitude, and he eventually became grateful for it.
"Well then, I suppose that certainly makes a difference," Kakaru said, not bothering to apologize for implying she was stupid.

Disgust added to the loathing Angel was already feeling. She massaged the small bump on her head with one hand, pulling her wand out of her pocket with the other.
"'Dim witted,'" she muttered darkly as she pointed her wand at her bump and said "Episkey". "Wand... would have attacked anyway... like I didn't know... what a git...."
She pointed her wand at her trunk, whispered "Accio paper... quill... ink...", and a small fragment of parchment, a quill and an ink bottle came zooming into her hand, and she caught it. She pointed her wand onto the quill and, under her murmured instructions, it wrote the message Kakaru attacked Tori. Angel then Banished the quill and ink bottle and pointed her wand at the note, making it fly into the air and zoom through the corridor and into another compartment, where she had seen Karei. She felt it best to allow Karei to see Tori first.

Karei felt something bump into her and looked down. She saw the note and quickly grabbed and read it. Her eyebrows furrowed and she leapt up to run out without a word. Quickly she ran to the compatment Tori was in. "Tori what happened!?"

Her job was done, and it was done so without causing drama or panic in the entire train. Angel pulled her trunk, broom and Lightwing's cage along to give the sisters privacy, looking for yet another compartment. She had barely taken two steps when she saw a familiar face--that of her Ravenclaw best friend.
"Hi Sahara!" smiled Angel.
"Hey," replied Sahara, who dragged her possessions behind her as well. "How was your summer?"
"It was great until just now," said Angel bitterly, and as she and Sahara looked for an empty compartment, she recounted the events in the compartment with Kakaru, adding her justification that if she had pulled out her wand, it might have invited him to a duel.
"Yeah, I see your point," frowned Sahara, setting her trunk up on the luggage rack in the new compartment they found. " And who own these?" she added, looking at the luggages laden onto the rack beside hers and Angel's. "Should we leave?"
"It'll be fine," yawned Angel: she was too tired to continue searching, and after all, the owners of the trunks seemed to have left. She threw herself down onto a chair and continued to read.
She could hardy believe it. They had hardly gone halfway to Hogwarts, and yet here she was, her rivalry with the Slytherins already reconfirmed.

This guy with all these pureblood beliefs... is real. And this lady here proves it, but /how/? How could someone gather up people, and believe in something that's been disapproved of by the majority of the wizard world, and fight against all these Muggle and Mudblood lovers? How is it possible, how is true? Unspoken questions ran through Kakaru's head as he wondered about this new, seemingly invincible person. I wish I could meet him... that would be truly amazing. I want to stand in front of him and offer all my loyalty forever, because it's true. We don't need Mudblood tainting the bloodlines, we could go without. . It was a dream come true, a leader to look to. The reason they were in Slytherin, was to follow the path of people before them, because he fit the requirements, he had the cunning, the nerve, and the hatred inside him to fulfill this unspoken duty of following someone he only knew by rumors. It was odd, but he thought it was worth believing in. This woman here proved it, whether she was from the Ministry to root out people like him before they caused ruckus, or truly was a follower sent here to recruit; regardless, he was real.
He looked out the window and watched the serenity outside as it passed by, wondering how long it would last. Though, as fascinating as this all was, it was also dull compared to cursing people. He wish he was back in the compartment with the girl and Black, for he didn't even get a chance to touch Black; who was the filthiest traitor of them all. A pureblood, like /him/, getting into Gryffindor and befriending James Potter. It was a shame he never became like his brilliant brother Regulus, he and Kakaru may have ended up being friends. Regardless, he wondered where everyone was, including his peers; he would have liked to discuss the whole matter with them.

Morgaine was awakened from her daydreams in the quiet compartment when a message flew into the compartment and bumped Karei right on her head. Although she wouldn't have pried if she had a choice, before Morgaine could turn her head away to give the Ravenclaw some privacy, she caught the three words written there.
Instantly, she tensed with anger. If this was the Slytherin Kakaru she thought it was, all the more reason to be angry. She saw Karei tear out of the compartment, and without thinking, followed her. All thoughts of giving the twins privacy flew out of her head, replaced with a single thought: someone had been attacked and hurt.
Morgaine felt a righteous fury surge through her. When I find that Kakaru... she began to herself. I'll curse him so bad he won't even recognize himself! Then she stopped. But wait...I have to make sure that Tori is okay first. That's my first priority...helping Tori. Then vengeance. Then justice.
She reached the compartment just behind Karei, stopping and thinking just in time, before backing up and facing away from the entrance, both to give the two some privacy, and to serve as watch in case Kakaru came back--not that it was likely; most Slytherins were cowards--but her intelligence had given way to instinct. This might as well be pitched battle, for the way Morgaine was reacting. Must be the Auror blood within her.

Tori shook her head and pointed at her mouth. Karei understood and undid the spell. "Bloody Slytherins..." Tori croaked out.

Sahara noticed Angel's expression, and quickly realized what could cheer her up. "So, did you bring the skates with you?"
Angel looked up from her book. "Oh, yeah, I did," she said brightly. The effect was exactly what Sahara predicted it to be.
Angel had always loved ice skating. She began a year before Hogwarts, and was now in the 4th Freestyle level. She always spent her Christmases, Easters and summers ice skating. One might ask why she never goes home during her Easter and Christmas vacations: it was because her parents believed she would be much safer there from Voldemort than at home.
"Anyway," continued Sahara as she stretched her self on the seat opposite Angel, "maybe you're right about it being okay to stay in this compartment, but, you know, what if it belonged to..." she lowered her voice to a whisper, "... Snivellus?"
Angel laughed. "That greasy git?" she said, eyebrows raised. "No, I don't think so. If it was his, the Dark magic in here would be obvious. Dad taught me the various traces left behind by Dark magic."
"Oh, yeah, I forgot," said Sahara lightly. " Like what?"
"Like the evil smell of Snape's trousers," said Angel casually, flipping a page of her book. Sahara laughed.

Sahara then quickly looked around to see whether anybody was there, and whispered, "So... you an Animagus yet?"
Angel's face was blank. "No," she sighed, dropping her voice to a whisper as well. "I've been practicing over the summer, though, but I still can't get it and the license is already--"
"Five years old, right?" whispered Sahara. "Didn't your dad register you when you were--"
"Ten, yeah. It's no use. I keep telling him it's a waste of time, but he won't listen. I mean, I'm supposed to be turning into a fox, right, but my markings still won't appear and... anyway, I can't get it, but he keeps going on about it, says if I give up I'll regret it someday."
"Then why don't you just tell him you don't want to?"
"I told you, he won't listen. He says it could protect me... but then again I could rebel against it... yeah...."
"Bummer," sighed Sahara.

((Well, if anyone cares, I'm back. And, damn, some interesting things happened while I was away. Anyways, I guess I'll jump in now to help move it along, eh?))
Atra perked up at the sounds of brief dueling outside the compartment. It sounded like it was coming from Black's compartment. It couldn't be Snape, though. It was unlikely he'd take on Black and whoever he might be with without stopping by the compartment first. Which, eliminating all the people on the compartment with her, left one person.
As her companions were staring out the door dumbly, Atra got up and clambored over them. Gits. They'll sit there wondering what happened until someone tells them. Bloody morons, the lot of them.
Shaking her head, she entered the corridor, shutting the door behind her. Atra looked at the floor. She immediatly got more interested as she saw spots of blood on the floor, leading down the corridor towards a shut compartment.
Sectumsempra? Nah...there'd be much more blood than this. It must've been some lesser spell.
Though she didn't exactly support Muggle hating, Atra often gave in to peer pressure and joined in when her mates started dueling. Especially Gryffindors. Besides, life was so much more interesting this way.
Following the trail of blood, she made her way down the corridor, stopping when she reached the compartment it led to. A few girls were in there, the ones who she'd walked in on earlier. One of them was covered in blood, but it seemed to have stopped.
Once she saw there was no action here anymore, Atra kept walking, looking in the compartment windows as she passed them. Finally, she saw Kakaru sitting with another girl, one she'd never seen before. Wanting to find out what had happened, Atra reached for the handle, but frowned as her hand was stopped a few inches away. Sighing, she leaned against the wall to wait, deciding not to interupt her housemate and his new companion.
