"Eh," Ishod shrugged, "such is the life of a waywyrd." he smiled at her and bowed his head before drinking the last of his ale and setting it down. "I live for whatever follows my fancy, and for some reason, this hour, it's you, enchantress be ye, or just beautiful?" Ishod was officially buzzed, meaning that another drink or too, this man's normally clear speaking voice would be replaced by song and riddle, an interesting contrast to the druken man's garbled slur.

Dorothy growled lightly to herself with she saw Browyn downstairs. She took the coins from the counter and walked over to Brownyn,"You couldn't wait for me to get off could you. I only have 20 more minutes. I would have been up there with something to heal you so your weren't dealing with that pain."
((Sorry I've been busy lately.))

Kyrana smiled at the slightly drunk Ishod. "Perhaps a bit of both." She said with a suggestive smile. She laughed and took another drink of her wine. One of the advantages of being so old was that it took quite a lot to get her even buzzed. She glanced at Ishod. She didn't have to be drunk to enjoy company. Kyrana moved a little closer to Ishod. "Would you like another drink?" She asked slyly, with a dazzling smile.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bronwyn shrugged at Dorothy. "I didn't know how long your shift was." She said. "Besides, I've dealt with worse, I promise you." She gave a sigh and glanced out the window at the fading sun. "First thing in the morning, I am going to go find out what's up with the Pashas of the guilds. Know any good swords for hire?" She asked, massaging her neck regretfully. "I think I'm gonna need all the help I can get."
Ishod smiled warmly at her and placed his hand on her shoulder, "I'm afraid that unless you want me drunk my dear, that shall not be the wisest action of choice."
Ishod, at heart, was a lightweight, always was, always will be, he didn't drink alcohol for the enjoyment of it, just the sociality of it all.
He, for lack of a better word, giggled, "For I am not nearly as charming when I am drunk, lo, not nearly charming indeed, my words come too fast and too hot, and my feelings are, by far, harder to read."
"The first thing your doing is getting healed. I am not going to let you go out like that, no matter how much you've dealt with before. As for swords, I might know a few but you're not getting any information right now," Dorothy said. She filled a glass with ale,"Drink. It will help till I'm off."
Kyrana smiled back at Ishod. "I think I could still understand you fine. I was hardly born yesterday, you remember." She took another sip of her wine. "But I suppose hangovers are not especially helpful when starting adventures, are they? Or, rather, looking for some."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bronwyn smirked at Dorothy. She was one of the few people who would always get away with saying things like that to Bronwyn. Most people would get an earful about ordering her around, but they had been friends for too long to worry about such things. Dorothy meant well, and Bronwyn knew it. So she merely accepted the drink with grace and gave her friend a mischevious grin.
"I'll have the names of those hired swords one way or another. Unless you really want me to go out on my own." She said, perhaps a little loudly, to be heard over the din of the room. "But I will definitely take the offer of healing." She added, wincing as another sliver of pain slid down her body. "Go back to work. I'll be waiting here when you're off." She said after a minute. Bronwyn really didn't want to get Dorothy fired because she'd been stupid and pissed off the wrong people.

"M'lady it is not that I get worse in speaking when I am drunk, but that I release, for whatever reason, my inner bard."
His sobriety would hit him if he just stayed still another few minutes.
"Hangover, now there, there is something I haven't had in a long while."

Right as Bronwyn said for Dorothy to go back to work, the old geezer motioned for her to bring another drink over. Dorothy sighed,"I can never get a break in this place." She filled up a glass and head over faking a smile.

Kyrana smiled. "I can relate. Here's a tip: Don't get into a drinking contest with one of us. You won't win." She laughed, taking another sip of her wine. "So what brings you here to Rinon? Looking for adventure, or was that a side thought?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bronwyn smirked as Dorothy rushed off to the call of another patron. She leaned forward on the bar and looked around the almost-crowded inn. She didn't recognize many people, which was a good thing. She gave a sigh of exasperation when she heard the finely dressed woman say something about adventuring. Curious, she started to unobtrusively listen in.
Dorothy put the glass on the table and took the coins from the man. As she turned he grabbed her a**. She gritted her teeth to keep from reaching for her dagger and rushed back to the bar, Bloody old man.
"Adventure, wanderlust, whatever you may call it it was my first thought." he sighed breaathing out the drunkeness, almost. "It's a story for another time as to why, but needless to say that I've traveled mostly for the thrill of it, and for the chance to do something...to be remembered for."
Something to make a name for himself, something to make him feel less ashamed for the mistreatment of his family, something to make him more than just the wealthy offspring of a merchant family, he could put it many ways.
He was silent during these thoughts delibarately looking down at the bar so as not to belie any of these emotions to the fae, lord knows what she'd do with him then.
Kyrana nodded. "I understand. Wanderlust often takes us over, and before you know it, you're whisked halfway across the world." She gave a sigh, directing the latter half of the sentence more to herself than Ishod.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bronwyn sat up as she heard the man's reply. Looking for adventure, was he? She smiled to herself. Adventure she certainly could offer. She frowned as the fae responded to him, trying to decide if it would be overly rude to interrupt.
After a little deliberation, she settled for listening. Better to get a measure of what was going on before interfering. Bronwyn didn't like the looks of the woman he was talking with too much. Rich ladies like that rarely were interested in men for their brains, and it was rare to find one with brains herself. Surely he wasn't falling for it?

"Yeah, and before you know it, you're lost in somebody else's cause." he said without thinking, "Or trapped in a cage being forced to use your magic for someone else..."

Dorothy reached the bar as a new barmaid came in from the back, yawning."Finally,"Dorothy said. "Sarah it's all you,"Dorothy told the girl handing her the tray.
The girled yawn again,"Can't you at least wait till I wake up?"
"I have 2 other jobs today I don't have time to wait,"Dorothy said.
The girl yawned,"Fine."
Dorothy started to undo her apron and headed toward Bronwyn,"Want to wait here or walk back to the room?"

"I'll wait here." Bronwyn said, giving Dorothy a smile and a careful nod. The stabs of pain throughout her body had lessened somewhat as she sat still, but still threatened to overwhelm her when she moved quickly.
Bronwyn turned to the man and woman after addressing Dorothy.
"Excuse me." She said to the man. "I couldn't help but ovehear you earlier. You wouldn't happen to be a sellsword, would you?" She asked, looking curious and slightly hopeful.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kyrana stared at the woman cautiously. The bruises on her neck were vaguely hand-shaped and every movement she made looked to be painful, but she was trying to hide the fact. Kyrana couldn't help but wonder where the wounds came from, and she automatically classified the other woman as a fighter type, judging from her lean muscles, worn, practical clothes, and the defiant look in her eyes. Kyrana's purple eyes flicked to the bruises. She must not have been a very good fighter to have received such injuries. Kyrana thought about saying something rude to the woman, but she held her tongue, looking to Ishod to see what his reaction would be.
