Right I'm back from the grave to pimp slap joo all.

N since your like the only active mod... or the only active mod I know of. Mind if I go over some ideas with joo that could be implemented into the RP to I dunno add some life to it? it's sort of RESIDENT EVIL-ish with concept or maybe more Left 4 Dead oriented because it's basically just Zombie Variants...

Oh and I was wondering if I can make Britain... yes it may ******** over a certain someone, yes I don't care, yes I would like to do my homeland justice lol.

On another note has anyone seen Xjioh he's been gone for what... a month and half now?

That kind of roleplay sounds like it would belong in the "Resevoir" subforum. Everything in the main forum is strictly based on Max Brooks's zombie novels.

No idea. He never posted in the "Absentees" thread to let us know he was leaving.

See I don't see why it has to be strictly based on books not-everyone has read. After all I'm very well doubting the SAS were in this man's books and there all over this guild. But in any case I'm not meaning anything like a Tank from Left 4 Dead or the Lickers of RESIDENT EVIL - I'm meaning in a sense where some zombies gain traits from there former living counterpart. For example a zombie that may have been an Olympic Runner is faster than your average brain dead dumbass that can't kill a single character in this guild (Yes I am still wondering how I've never seen a zombie kill anyone in this RP... well actually I've barely seen heads or tails of any zombies in this guild to be honest).

Zombies in this guild, are to clerify, the Romano style lurching head-shot only zombies, there have been some instances of trait gaining, but its from a very objective standpoint, the only really feasible one is the ex body building "Heavies", solanum zombies have little to no hand eye co-ordination, so they would find any agility traits or inttelectual ones useless.

To make my point, these are the zombies that are most threatening in a horde, there are few that can climb and they are easy to kill in one on one, but not in large masses.

as for the SAS, there are 2 forums that they're in, and the user who put them in is not very often posting, its acceptable because the UK is isolated enough that once they got themselves holed up, they could send out small help parties, but thats all.

I'm not trying to spark an argument on the plausability of the SAS as opposed to a zombie keeping physical traits - after all is there any plausible explanation why a zombie's muscle mass would be degenerated to the point where it can't run? if it has the brain functions to know how to walk - why can't it run? if they have the capacity to know how to smash in windows and doors when they get in there way why can't they run?

See I can understand wanting to keep to a single style - but is it to much to ask for variation? I mean I do love the classical zombies from George Romero (yeah I don't know Romano) but after a while they start to lose any credibility as a threat - because they can't seem to kill anyone. I'd gladly have them kill off my character if to make them at least seem credible enemies but my character is stuck awaiting another character which would kind of suck to remove the place he'd need to respond to before I kill the character off.

Now if someone can show me anywhere in this Guild's RP that the zombies have indeed mauled a character outside of NPC plot conveinence then we can throw the idea out the window but as I said - is it to much to ask for some variation? you know a little originality?

Yes I saw what you said on the "Heavies" but that simply helps point out that they can keep traits that they held from there living form - and hand-eye co-ordination is in no way a reason to rule out having better agility after all, a running zombie is still a big "******** you!" to anyone expecting an easy get away - and as the army probably have been devoured several times over by this point a sniper/spotter could even have increased perception compared to it's brothers of the undead. Just saying.

I get what you're saying, but the point is that A: I am not the leader of the guild officialy. B: I wouldn't change it even if I was. and C: Its a single type because the virus only makes a single type, muscle mass is the only real trait you can keep, if you don't like the fact that its only one type, the door is there, you can leave, we have an active player base and we're not going to change it over one person.

that being said you had it right with romero, just forgot how to spell his last name, thought it was romano for some reason

A. It's not like I've ever seen the leader appear in the guild, even though the avi of the one I assume to be the leader changes frequently or at least it did around January.

B. Your reasoning on that?

C. Well wow, look at that show some want for variety and your already believed to be unwanted. Swell. The virus only needs to make a single type of zombie the zombie being effected would decide the rest of the outcome - as you said muscle mass is a trait that one can keep, but it isn't the only real one you can keep after all these zombies are baseline humans using instinct and have grown a need to devour those with living flesh. But if it was only muscle mass, stronger legs could help with a zombie that wants to run instead of slapping the ground with it's face.

My dis-satisfaction still isn't with the lack of variety as opposed to the inability to kill anything.

my reasoning on B is that its the leader of the guild had specific ideas and a storyline for us to follow. I will not be switching that storyline for the sake of a single member.

The leader has been inactive since late December because she moved, as for the running, its because of their lack of hand-eye co-ordination as i said earlier, if you're brain has been mostly changed, you lose enough of your cordination so that all you can manage is a slow limp

You do know hand-eye co-ordination isn't for your feet right? and since when did a zombie need such to ram summon over with there body and then munch on them with there teeth?

So they can understand there instincts, can tell the difference between dead flesh and living flesh, can fully operate there body but can't run... makes less sense than the entire plot of RESIDENT EVIL...

If you have seen romano movies, or read world war Z, you would know why he is arguing so much. This guild is baced off of these things, and if you would care to not follow them, you may want to consider a L4D guild. Although the virus wants only to populate itself, you have to take into consideration that, They haven't a working brain to tell legs to run, and any ways, I think you fail to realize the potential that they have, if in groups. Even then, they can still go at a swift limp, that could almost call itself a gallop. Seriously, this doesn't seem to be the type of guild you would do best in.

You mean Romero, World War Z never interested me as a book.

Why search for a L4D guild when I don't like L4D?

No working brain... yet they still know how to walk, eat, see, follow intsincts. You do require a brain for even the basics my friend.

I fail to see there potential in a group? yes that's probably it - it's not just the fact I haven't seen them kill a single character alone or in a group and no one has provided proof to say otherwise.

Check California. I had to kill one of my group buds. He decided to live though, but in a way, he is dead. Also, I suggested it because you are talking about special infected, which L4D has, or you could just join one of the type with 28 day later zombies, because that seems to be what this whole issue is about. Speed. Also, I would like to point out the actions you stated are instinct, which is something you do any ways. They are simply trying to reproduce the disease, not live day to day lives. They eat to do such, they roam around to do such, and they exist to do such. Finally, the virus is the brain. It is just controlling the body through the spinal chord and brain. It doesn't know how to quicken pace, to a run, because it doesn't need to.

I'm not talking about special infected on the degree of L4D - as a virus that turns a man into the Incredible Hulk XL is just ******** stupid. Meh 28 Days Later has the same problem - the only difference is the ******** can take a hit and actually have a chance at killing someone - or causing the most annoying case of "Disappearing Act".

Ah... a virus that can operate as a brain, well it explains somethings and yet at the time quite literally ******** up the premise, but I'm not going to argue about the virus. But at the least I am to understand this virus has no capabilities other than animating a corpse and giving it the ability to operate on basic instincts?

You killed your group buds, are you a zombie? and you'll need to explain this partially dead business.

well he wasn't active, so we agreed to kill him, and then he decided to live and continue without us.

See that's all I'm looking for is an act where the zombies have killed a player. That's all you need to prove me wrong and yet no one has done so... it's very vexing.
