"Ready." She replied, watching him warily. She fished in her pouch for a weapon and her hand came out holding a knife made of bone. "Curse seal so early in the game? Scared?" she taunted, a little nervous. She touched her fingers to her neck, hoping it wouldn't come to that.

Rin chuckled and held her knife at the ready. "Let's see what you can do." she said, running stright towards him, knife at the ready. She obviously had no sense of subtle attacks.

The smirk spread across the boy's lips as he easily dodged the attack. The training that he had once had with Kakashi had paid off, as his speed had increased much at the time. And though he was in the Sound, and learned many new attacks, it wasn't as if he should forget the old ones.

He dashed at her, hands moving together as he performed his signs. "Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu!" Holding his fingers to her lips, he skidded to a stop as fire came blazing out of his mouth.

For the first several years of her life Rin had concentrated soly on taijutsu, training her body hard. She dodged the attack with ease, hopping into a tree. "Let's see how you handle this!" she said, making a few handsigns and then pointing two fingers at the ground just in front of his feet. "Kaze no Bakuretsu!" she stated, and the ground below him swelled rapidly, until it exploded sending clods of dirt and chips of stone everywhere.

He leapt up in time, only to be surrounded by a cloud of dust. Holding his arm over his nose and mouth, he squinted, cursing silently. Ah well. While this dust was here, he should take advantage of it. Muttering something quickly under his breath, he made a clone of himself, making it sit on the ground so it seemed that he had been lethally harmed in the attack, while he himself gave a swift jump while the dust remained, and into the trees.

From there, he dashed from tree branch to tree branch, planning his attack once the dust cleared.

Ah. So she knew...

The boy didn't even blink as at knife grazed his cheek. Instead, he leapt farther in, careful so that his movements were conceled behind the many trees. Because of his past training, his movements were swift and quick, as he dashed around the area in a circle, before silently stopping, standing on the right side of Rin.

From there, he merely stood, waiting.

"Where'd he go..." She murmered, cautiously, and began to dig in her weapons pouch. She pulled out a fairly large bag of shuriken and threw it straight up into the air. She'd been practicing this one for quite some time to get it right. She made the same hand signs as before and the bag exploded, sending the sharp metal weapons everywhere. She used another jutsu to compact the air around her into a sort of sheild, slowing down the weapons enough so that they wouldn't cause her any harm. She stayed still and listened for any telltale sounds.
