D.C. turned back around, but said nothing. He looked Mew over for a moment." You know, I may have been slightly delirious from blood-loss and a concussion yesterday, but you are pretty cute," he said, grinning as he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall next to the window. He was about to say more when a loud knock came from the door. D.C. walked over and opened, and a soldier stood in the doorway. They spoke back and forth quietly for a few moments before the soldier saluted D.C. then left. D.C. sighed as he shut the door." So, apparently the next base they're sending us to has been overrun. We have to clean it out."

" Today or tomorrow apparently," he said as he walked back over to the bed. He collapsed onto it with a grunt and closed his eyes." Well, seeing as there's nothing to do currently, I think I'm gonna get some more sleep. You're free to either join me for a nap, or you can explore. Your choice," D.C. said to Mew before he yawned and stretched out a little. Within a few minutes he was back asleep.

D.C. started to mumble in his sleep. He didn't seem to be mumbling in English though. This continued for a few moments before he started to move around also, jerking from side to side. After awhile D.C. calmed down and started to sleep peacefully once more. He slept for another ten minutes before his eyes slowly opened. D.C. yawned loudly, and sat up with his eyes closed once more. He stretched out with a groan, and opened up his eyes." So, did you go and explore any or did ya just watch me sleep?" D.C. asked Mew in a drowsy tone as he looked at her.

D.C. raised an eyebrow and nodded." Uh huh. I bet you sat there watching me sleep the entire time, thinking about how cute I am," D.C. said with a grin as he got up out of the bed. He stretched a little, then walked over to a cabinet. He opened it up, revealing his weapons on the inside. D.C. placed the revolvers in their holsters on his belt, then grabbed the sword and put it on as well. Once he was fully ready, D.C. turned back to Mew." Your weapons are downstairs in the armory. We'll grab them on our way out," he said, before a load explosion rocked the whole building." What the hell?" D.C muttered as he ran over to the window. He pulled the curtains open, revealing pods landing from the sky with heavily armoured soldiers and tanks coming out of them. The Pirate soldiers on the ground were fighting back." Crap we need to get out of here. It appears the orbital guard has been called in for a clean up op, and that means a lot of people are about to die."

"We're gonna have to grab your stuff. We'll have to shoot our way out of here now," D.C. said before ducking as some bullets flew through the window. He quickly made his way over to the door and looked down both directions of the hallway." Alright, listen. Armory is one floor down, with a sign saying 'Armory' above its door. Go to it and find your things. I'm gonna get us a transport and some men to help us get the hell outta hear," D.C. said to her as he pulled out his revolvers and started to make his way down the hall." Meet me on the ground floor once you're ready."

D.C. quickly made his way down a set up opposite stairs, and reached the bottom floor in a few moments. Pirates were running back and forth, trying to secure the building. D.C. spoke with a few troops, and in just moments he had a following of four men. They made their way to the vehicle depot behind the base, and they started to prepare an APC when suddenly bullets started to hit around them. Once of the men fell to the ground dead as D.C. pulled out his revolver and place two bullets in the head of one of the attacking space marines, and as the dead marine fell the other three took cover and continued to fire at D.C. and his three men as they returned fire.

D.C. grimaced as another of the men with him was shot. The man fell over dead, leaving just two men with D.C.. Just as he was about to tell them to fall back, one of the space marines produced a rocket launcher. D.C. cursed loudly, trying to tell them to move, but it was too late. The rocket flew towards them faster than they could blink, and exploded between D.C. and the two men. The Pirates smacked the side of the APC, dying on impact. D.C. landed against the wall, barely conscious. The space marines quickly moved over to him, and while two of them checked the APC and the bodies, the third moved over to D.C. and picked him up by the collar of his shirt. The space marine held him there for a moment, before hurling him through the wall. D.C.. D.C. rolled down the corridor, passing Mew as he rolled. The space marine stepped through the hole in the wall he made, glanced at Mew, then turned his attention back to D.C., whom was currently pushing himself up onto his knees before standing up slowly. D.C. swayed for a moment, before managing to stand straight. A long jagged cut was running across his face, causing blood to cover it." Sorry mate, but this is the end of the line for you," D.C. said with a grin, before smoke filled the hall instantaneously. It cleared just as quickly as it came, and as the smoke cleared it revealed the space marine, now on his knees, with D.C. standing above him holding the hilt of his sword, which was now embedded in the space marines neck."Never underestimate me," he muttered to himself as he pulled the sword out, and the space marines body fell over.
