Josh Industrix

Josh started passing papers out from the front and slowly made his way to the back. He smiled at each of the students. A girl said hi to him and he smiled kindly, "Hey." He said back. As he finished passing out the little papers he told the teacher he just had a little speech to say. Once she gave him the okay he positioned himself at the front of the class. "Okay, so this little paper just tells you what activities our school is doing. There are clubs that anyone can join, sports are starting up, stuff like that. And I know that a few of you are freshman so if you're having any trouble go ahead and ask a staff member, or if you see me or one of the council members just ask them and we'll try our best to help." Then he waved and walked out of the classroom and back to the office.

Josh was in the secretary's chair with his feet up on the desk by the computer. He was reading a book and whistling quietly. He didn't really notice Rory come in. He was too in depth in his book. As he rolled the chair he let his feet hit the floor and his bangs fell in front of his eyes. He brushed them to the side and leaned back in the chair. His eyebrows were slightly narrowed as if it were a very serious part in his book. His bright blue eyes were glazed in concentration.

Josh's eyes lingered on the page just a few seconds more ( He was finishing a sentence) before looking up at Rory. He smiled at her. "Yep. That's me." He said standing up and setting the book down on the desk. "What can I do for you?" He asked his smile still on his lips. His blue eyes met hers.

Josh smiled. He extended his hand, "Here I can read it for you." He said leaning his elbows on the higher counter above the office desks. He lifted his hand up to his bangs and brushed them out of the way again and smiled at Rory.

Josh's eyes widened as he saw Rory fall and scrape up her arm. He crouched beside her and looked at her arm. "Geez." He said making a funny face smiling at her. He helped her up and sat her on the edge of the desk. "I'll go get the first aid kit." He said. Then he disappeared into one of the offices for a moment. He came back with the blue first aid kit that was in all the classrooms. He stood in front of Rory and set the kit beside her thigh. He put some hand sanitizer on his hands before he did anything. Then he got a big band aid and being extremely gently; he placed it over her scrape after putting some medicine on it. He smiled at his handiwork. "There. Looks good as new. Kind of." He said. Josh leaned across her to pick up the paper. "So how does it feel?" He asked motioning to her bandaged scrape.

Josh smiled, he was glad that his bandage was working for her. It did surprise him to hear what else she had to say though. He cleared his throat and tried as hard as he could to force the stupid blush away. He smiled, "Good to know.....that, I'm likeable." He said quietly, not really sure what to say. Then he proceeded to read out the paper to Rory.

Josh finished the sentence he was reading and looked at Rory. "It's okay." He said. Then he continued. Just as he was nearing the end of the page he heard heavy footsteps coming, and his younger brother came in.

"Okay, dude you have got to see these guy freshmen with Mr. Archer in gym its HILARIOUS!!!!" Nick said walking in. He was wearing black gym shorts and a blue t-shirt. He was chuckling. But then he saw Rory and Josh and how they were kind of close. Nick whistled awkwardly, and smiled. "Well I'll catch ya later bro....But seriously come check out those freshmen, Mr. Archer is eating them alive." He said then awkwardly walked out.

Josh smiled after him, "Sorry about that. That's my brother Nick." He said to Rory.
