Hi there! I'm pretty excited to be here! Looks like a lot of fun.
-My favorite medium is typically ink, or prismacolor, but I'm slowly learning how to draw digitally again. -My favorite artist would probably have to be Mike Mignola. -I have a long list of comics I'd recommend, actually! Probably would be obnoxious to list them all here. -I've been drawing for as long as I can remember?? I guess I started actually taking it seriously when I was 8 or 9. -As of this moment, I still prefer traditional media over digital, but I don't like the way it looks on a computer. -There's a local retail store near me called "Jerry's Artarama". It's got it all! -My weaknesses are in color theory, backgrounds, and unique poses. I don't usually like to talk about my own strengths, because it's hard to do so without making it sound like boasting. -My biggest pet peeve is when people forgo skill and technique for style. My most important personal tenet is to learn how to draw, then make it your own. Draw what you see, THEN draw what you know.

Hello I am Painfulshadowangel, or just call me Angel, or Shadow. I am young. Thats all im going to say. What's your favorite medium? Well I would have to say just pencil, traditional art. -Do you have a favorite artist? Oof, well I'm not sure, I havent looked on just one person's art for more than 2 days. Xc -Recommend any good comics/manga? Welp, depending on a person. I have no clue. -How long have you been drawing? Well, barelly.. about 3 years now? I started drawing on my tablet for about barelly a Month now. Lol -Do you prefer traditional over CG or vice versa? Well I dont prefer one over another since i barelly started drawing stuff CG. They both work for me, though if i had to really CHOOSE one over another I would have to say CG, drawing on my tablet helped me experiment poses and stuff. -What's your favorite store for art supplies? Ooof another hard question lol. Well I buy things that will comfort me in drawing, which is everywhere lol. -What are your artistic weaknesses/strengths? Hell. My weaknesses have to be human poses, hands and legs. In overall the strongest weakness of mines will have to be the head and the body. One comes out bigger than the other. My strengths will have to be drawing animals in my way. Another is drawing the waist up, also eyes. I love eyes. -What are your art pet peeves? Drawing realistic stuff, also when people compare the things on how they draw stuff to how i draw my things and say i need to do this to improve. I do like people to say their opinions about my work.. but really? I draw things my own way, my own pose, and with shapes. Period. Point. BLANK. The main point I joined this place is because I found it, thought It was a good art community and i wanted to see how other worked on things and see if i can get help to IMPROVE my drawing methods, not CHANGE but IMRPOVE. Can't put any more emphasis on this my beauties. Ive never done anything that some artist regularly do like, art shops, or awesome collabs, or commissions so If some peeps might.. be nice enough.. to show me..? ouo

Why, hello! My name's Sparkel_SwAgG, but everyone calls me Sparkel.
- My favorite medium would have to be traditional with pencils, but sometimes I like to use color pencils as well. - Famous artists, not that I know of. But as for online artists and my own friends and stuff, a lot of people inspire me. I can find new techniques from and make them my own, as well as open my mind up during artist's block. - Many! I read manga all the time. Ouran High School Host Club, Vampire Knight, Dengeki Daisy, Sukitte Iinayo, Kamisama Hajimemashita, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, and Love Stage!! are some of my favorites to read. - For as long as I can remember, believe it or not. - Yes, I do prefer traditional over digital art. While I like to look at, I myself have yet to fall into the fad. I've tried but I've never used a real, professional digital art pad or anything. - Anywhere, practically. Sometimes I buy my own stuff, sometimes I get stuff as gifts, but when I am buying, I tend to like Hobby Lobby and Michael's- little stores like that but I don't have a particular favorite. - Oh God- handssssssss! When I first got into the drawing that I'm best at now, my problems were the eyes and the hair- now those two are some of the easiest for me. And bodies/poses are getting easier with practice. I'm also not very good at drawing chibis for some reason. And I'm still trying to get angles/profiles perfected as well.
I'm very easy to get along with and thoroughly enjoy looking at other peoples' art. And I really enjoy drawing other peoples' characters, and vice versa. c:

Hi~ My name's Reya, 17, currently trying to figure out whether I should buy a replacement power adapter for my Cintiq or buy another tablet. Dying to get my hands back on it and draw some proper art, not the scribbles on A4 paper. Joined... randomly? Still somewhat new to Gaia, and trying to figure out how these guilds work.
✧ Um... my Cintiq tablet's pen? Pencil's second choice.
✧ Nope. Can't seem to get into anyone's for long enough to call them my fav.
✧ Oooh~ Alot. Lol. I can't pick one so I'll keep my mouth shut.
✧ When do you start counting? Most ppl draw since preschool as part of school. As for me, on and off since then, but I only started drawing humans since I think grade 6? One of my classmates was real good, and I started finding interest in drawing stuff other than animals. None of my family knows yet though. xd
✧ CG for most parts. But traditional stuff tend to make you look pro.
✧ O-O... I... don't remind me. My wallet already has a hole in the bottom trying to collect Johnnies stuff and keep my tech up to date. Add art supplies, and I'll be eternally broke.
✧ Ahh~ I have, a lot of. Weaknesses I mean. Proportions, posing, all that stuff. Atm, I'm stuck trying to draw feet on all my feetless chars... And, I hate coloring! >.< As for strengths, um... I can draw almost anything? According to my report card, I draw pretty accurate if it's not from mind.
✧ I hate it when I have to find a way to complement art that sucks. But since it's rude to not, I guess I just can't take ppl who suck.
