 Klaus Leben Klaus listened to Adina as he spoke. He was right. It was wrong, and just stupid. The foreigner tensed when Adina hugged him. He didn't do anything at first, being in a bit of shock, but he pushed the young prince away when be snapped out of it. "Don't touch me!" Not only did it still hurt, but it also reminded him of so many things that had happened to him. Especially over the last nine years. Plus, he didn't liked to be touched in general. "I'm sorry. I just....Don't."

Adina Reindheart  Adina looked at Klaus for a moment as he was pushed away. Was he upset at being touched. His question was answered when the knight said as much. "I... Im sorry. I didn't mean to upset you." He said and looked away. He should have known that Klaus would not want him to touch him. After all he had caused the man so much pain with being locked in his dungeon. "Its my fault, you shouldn't be sorry."

Klaus Leben Klaus glanced at Adina. He reached out and patted the prince's hand for a moment before dropping his arm to his side again. "You're not any of the people who made my life miserable. You didn't destroy my family, force me into military training, or lock me away. You've done nothing wrong. I appreciate the effor to try and cheer me up....I'm afraid I'm just too gloomy, or angry, to try doing so." Klaus went over and sat on his ground bed before sighing. "...Cerulean Sun. That's the flower I said was my favorite. My sister....She loves flowers, and enjoyed studying them. She would go on and on about how she would make the most beautiful flower in the world, using genetics. It'd be a pure white flower during the day, and close into a bud at night. But, the reason she wanted to call it Cerulean Sun is because it would glow a bright blue when it bloomed at dusk and again as it closed up." If only he still had the holograph cube she had used to program a visual diagram of it. He could show Adina how great it was. "I remember she would stand all day in the city square, selling flowers or our mother's sweet bread to anyone who would buy, so that she could save the money she'd need to start her research. Even for a kid, she was extremely smart."

Adina Reindheart "Maybe not, but I should have known that you wouldn't want to be touched. Its only natural with your background and I can only imagine what the guards would do to a prisoner." Especially one that looked like Klaus. He did find the man attractive, but it might be because the guy didn't listen to him or try to please him to get on his good side. "The flower sounds amazing, I would love to see it, your sister sounds like an amazing person." The prince said as he watched his protector sit on the bed. He knew he didn't know the man that well, but already he was wishing he could do something to make him happy. Was it because Klaus was the only one that seemed to see potential in him?

Klaus Leben Klaus rested his chin on his knees. "My brother and I would make fun of her dream, but we supported her anyway. Encouraged her. I think she even grew motivated when we teased her, wanting to prove she could do it. What I wouldn't give to see her again. If she isn't already dead." If he ever got the chance, he'd give her their brother's letter and help her escape. Then they'd both be safe, and he wouldn't have to worry about them. "Let's talk about something else. Please....Did you ever want a youger brother or sister?"

Adina Reindheart So that was what family usually did. Adina looked down at that and let out a sigh. "Yes, I wanted a brother or sister but knowing that they would end up forgotten as I am I was happy my parents only wanted the one child. They got their heir on the first try. Once it was clear I would live they could go back to their parties since I was raised by nannies and the like. I guess that is why I started to sleep around. I got love from the men I was with." NOw thinking back on it he just felt disgusted with himself and he was sure others did as well. "I know that most of the men I was with only slept with me for power and bragging rights." The prince said looking down before he clenched his hands into fists. "I want to change, to be different, I think that with your training, I could show my kingdom Im not a soft spoiled prince. That Im worthy of their respect."

Klaus Leben Klaus was going to say that the men didn't love him, but Adina already knew that. Listening to him, the orcbid-haired knight gave a smile before looking down. "In that case, perhaps we should run through town sometimes. Probably in the morning or evening, when the streets aren't so crowded. Hell, we can light a torch and run at night if you'd like. If they witness your dedication, I'm sure they'll come to respect you."

Adina Reindheart "That might not be a bad idea, but wouldn't it be hard to do training and watch out for possible attack?" He asked looking up at his teacher and student. It was odd that he was able to teach this man something, but he was enjoying helping him learn to read and write. After a bit of thought the prince looked up and let out a sigh. "Klaus, do you think you could ever be happy here? Or would you rather return home if you could. " Adina himself wished that he wasn't the prince sometimes having seen how normal people were treated, he wanted that same love that a son received from his parents, or that a lover received. He knew that he would have to produce an heir if the kingdom was to survive and prosper, but he had no interest in women. Perhaps he could just produce an heir with a woman and then have a lover, well if it ever got to something like that.

"I'd have nowhere to go. I don't have a home, and to the military, I'm a liability. If I returned, they'd kill me. I may never be happy here, but I haven't been happy since the day my parents were killed. At least I have somewhere to sleep and my life. Adina Reindheart "I have faith in your abilities Klaus, I just thought it would be easier so you didn't have to worry about training me and watching out for attacks. You military might be more on the attack side of things, my training was all strategy." He said before seeing that he was getting back into a subject that his knight might not like. "I had meant if you were free of all those constraints, knowing that your family was still alive and everything." Adina looked at Klaus when the man spoke of just needing a place to sleep and his life. "So, your not interested in friends or love. Isnt that rather lonely though?" ((I don't know >.< its gaia it does crazy things all the time.))

Klaus Leben Klaus sighed. "I'm still going to be on guard. Even in the courtyard. It won't ever be 'easy'. Especially with so many men wanting to bed you again." He won't hesitate to harm or even kill those men if they came after Adina, though. "If my family was alive and still together, and I wouldn't end up a wanted man?...Probably. I would probably go home." When Adina commented on his lonely choices, Klaus looked away. "...I learned a long time ago that it's better to be alone than to fall in love. Someone...always gets hurt. Sometimes even both lovers. As for friends, they're not something I had even as a kid, before the military. The slums was a...kill or be killed world, at it's best. Hell, my family was one of the few that valued each other."

Adina Reindheart "I know you will be on guard, you seem to take your job seriously, more so then most of my actual guards." The prince looked at his companion feeling a bit sad that Klaus didn't think he could get close to anyone. "Well, you will always have a place here, no matter what happens." He said after a moment before he looked away. "If you think that way, your not going to be very happy." He said after a moment before he let out a sigh. He wasn't sure why this was leaving him depressed. Maybe it was because he felt the same way. He didn't really have any friends and his lovers didn't actually care for him. "Well, why don't we talk about something else, or do something?" He asked after a moment wishing that there was a way he could get Klaus to open up and feel something.

Klaus Leben Klaus gave Adina a soft smile. "I can be happy. I was bursting when joy when the queen offered to terminats my life sentence. Not so much when I found out I had to babysit her spoiled brat of a son....But, you're not so bad now that I've gotten to know you a bit."

Adina Reindheart "I am a spoiled brat huh? I know when we met I was probably not someone you wanted to be around. I learned that growing up if I acted out, I got attention from my parents." He said before he looked up at Klaus once more. "No one should be required to babysit me." "You might be happy to no longer be in the dungeon, but when that wears off, I feel that you wont be very happy in the long run. I don't know, I guess I just want you to be happy Klaus. Even if you don't want to be here. Since your now my guard, my knight, I can grant you more then what my mother could." The young prince said after a moment looking hopeful. Could he ever actually make this man happy?

Klaus Leben He chose a disgusting and dangerous way to get his parents' attention, not that he'd ever say that aloud. "Trust me. I'll never lose this sense of joy. If you experienced what I did, you'd understand. But, you haven't and you don't, even if you think you do." What did the young prince mean by that? What could he grant him? There was nothing he could do for Klaus.the gothic beauty 2 Darn. I was hoping that quote had come from the Pokémon guild I'm in. One of my characters just finished a battle with Lt. Surge, and I'm waiting for a mod to approve the badge and give me the badge. XD
