Aidoneus let out a long drawn out sigh the beautiful well crafted order of the Soul Society was being tipped off balance that was enough to put him into a very cantankerous mood. Still though it was the charge of the Ninth division to protect the Seireitei, and even though this new enemy had already made the first strike that only meant the coals beneath his feet burned all the more hotter. With this hunter, this killer of Shinigami, was a threat that needed dealt with, but Aidoneus was not fully confident in his ability to deal with such a threat not when it took out two Shinigami so effortlessly. Stepping past the threshold of the Shin'o Academy he hardened his resolve to spend as much of his waking hours as possible in training to help deal with this foe that threatened so many.
Pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose he took a cursory look around the academy was certain a hubbub of activity though that was no surprise he wasn't the only one who had this idea rather he would be dismayed if he didn't find it in such a state it simply meant many like him were preparing as best they could for the battle to come. Plus given the nature of this threat they would need all the help they could get in this time of crisis. Stepping past, through, around the crowds all moving about to different sections of the academy or heading out to their posts as seated members of their divisions he finally made it his way to the training grounds.. First order of business was something he had been putting off for far to long during his duties with the Ninth, and he was ashamed to admit it was taking now to finally getting around to learning Shunpo properly.
He understood the theory behind the technique trying to get to from point A to point B in the fewest amount of steps as possible, and then later to extend how far a single step can take you. "I can think about it all day long...but I just have to try and do it." He muttered to himself as he took a deep breath to settle his nerves he really needed to stop trying to overthink the situation not everything was like a game of chess sometimes the best solution was the simplest. This was one of those times finding a clear spot on the training ground with enough space for him to move around in. Sliding his feet across the sand he got a feel for his bearings he needed precise footwork to began to further his skill in the technique. Closing his eyes he could map out the steps needed in his minds eye centering his breathing he took in a deep breath holding it in waiting for what felt like a lifetime letting ever bone and muscle in his body start to relax. With an exhale his body began to move gliding over the sands feet barely touching down. With every step he bang to move faster to an outsiders perspective it was a very jerky stumbling attempt at Shunpo however the physical and mental understanding of the technique was their he could pull it off it would simply take time, and use to increase the efficiency as was with all things of learning.
He came to a stop just in time as he opened his eyes if he had planned on taking one step more forward he would have found his progress stopped by a wall or at least the instructors would be lecturing him."Note to self keep eyes opened in the future." their was just the barest hint of curve to his normally somber expression the closest many had seen to a genuine smile on the man's face. "With a bit more use that will most certainly be of use in the days to come."
Daichi had been right as the group had gathered to do a training session and it appeared that there had been another vice captain that had been watching from the side. It seemed that they would be split in groups of two for a one on one sparring matches, which he could see get real chaotic very quickly. The man would look over to Dotsu as the two of them would be their group for this sparring match, but he couldn't help watching the two Vice Captains that made the first move. Just feeling there spiritual pressure, he could tell that these two were strong and got him excited to show what he could do as well, eager to fight. However before they could start there match, a group of Jigokuchō flew down to each of them and gave a shocking message. The Seireitei was now on lock down and the heads of the squads where to return to there area for further orders. "I suppose so. Stay alert and report anything suspicious." The boy said following Dotsu's words, concerned on what was going on and if someone was attacking them. He didn't have time for such thought as he need to get to his division before something happened. Daichi started run out of the academy and began his maze like journey back to the fifth's headquarters.
XXX Yuisis's grey eyes glared over to Kazuki as he teased her for complaining about the hug. He compared her reaction to Rin's who protested less audibly. The 'cross-divison training session' was soon underway, but not without extending the invite to two other vice captain who entered. Of course Kazuki would have kicked off the two versus two battle. Yuisis began to prepare for combat, positioning herself in preparation to counter any attack. However some disturbing news would send a heavy grievous aura in the area. A string of murders had been discovered in division headquarters. In response to the tragedy, Soul Society had been put on shut down. "Training time is over. I apologize, perhaps we can continue at another time." The tone of her voice was kind with an undertone of concern. Calling the situation 'worrying' was a an understatement in the least. With that she would take her leave from the Academy in route to her home division.
XXXWith the quick conclusion of their match and the sudden ringing of bells signalling an alarm, Rin would gather her robe and tighten it around her form as she stepped out of the dojo and jumped across the roofs. She descended towards the seventh division's headquarters, wind whipping in her hair as she hopped from one building to the other gracefully and with alarming speed.
The sudden use of the kidou, Deband, was not a surprise.. in fact it was a sound strategy against a physical attacker like himself. His hits landing soundly, but Agito's reinforced body took the shots well. Next was not expected; the Vice Captain casting a Hadou in melee range. "Nice shot! Mibu-kun.." He would vault off the other Vice Captain's shoulders and into the air. Regrettably, the sirens started to go off and all Shinigami were called back to their division. "That is such a shame..." He landed gracefully on his feet, and makes a quick movement to gather his things, the hat and jacket from the bench. "Next time Ryoka will not interrupt our match. Remember that." His right foot double taps the ground and within a blink of an eye... the six foot blonde man was gone. Something was very wrong, and he soon received a Hell Butterfly telling him that his division was under attack.. that his junior, Kagome was being attacked.
Aidoneus was just about to head to start working on his Kidou practice when the alarms started to go off, and the announcement went out of the Ryoka at the 11th Division. "I guess hoping for more time was a bit pushing it on my part... but no matter Duty comes first, and I have prepared as best I can." With a hand firmly placed on the hilt of his Zanpakuto he started to make his way to the outskirts of the Academy he already was mapping out the quickest path to get to the 11th division he could only hope he arrived in time to provide meaningful back up.
It was strange, as soon as Agito unleashed his blast it seemed that all head had broken loose. There were Shinigami running everywhere, hell butterflies going this way and that, sirens going off, everything seemed so rushed and unorganized. Kazuki dodged the hadou, which Agito half expected would happen anyway,,the man was on a whole other level physically. The firm hands gripped his shoulders as Kazuki flipped over Agito and landed gracefully. "next time Ryoka won't interrupt our match" those words stuck with Agito as he would smirk in the 11th division vice captain's direction. Before he could think of anything to say Kazuki was gone. Agito had heard an alert about an attack on the divisions. For some reason there was a killer going around mowing down people in sadistic fashion. Agito's face was probably the most calm out of the bunch, most likely because one of the few people in his division was the captain commander himself and most would not dare venture there, unless they were looking for a real fight. So the vice captain remained still as the other shinigami scattered and made their way to their division of choice, most likely planning to demonstrate some fine heroics and save the day. Agito's mind was a lot less altruistic unfortunately. He would not make any unnecessary moves unless ordered and, even then, he would still not do it out of the kindness of his heart but because of the order itself. Agito took a deep breath and went to take a step in order to head to first division.
"Hello~" Agito quickly jumped back, hand on his blade. He looked around but saw nobody..he had no idea what that voice was or where it came from. "Whats the matter? Are you..afraid?" the voice spoke again, this time feeling closer than ever. Was this one of the killers? Was this their technique? Did they get into the minds of the soul reapers and make them kill them selves? That would surely explain how they could go from division to division without being detected. "I assure you I will not be an easy kill, ryoka." Kazuki's words were etched in his mind and now all he could think about were Ryoka. Agito stated this to the voice, his hand now tightly gripping his zanpakuto even though he did not know it's name. His kido would prove to be enough for most but one should never underestimate the power of a sword in close quarters. What!? You would insult your master in this way!?" Agito's eyebrow raised at the voice, looking around again just so he could just make sure this voice was talking to him and not someone else in the room. "I have no master.." Agito stated in an almost stuck up tone, folding his arms and closing his eyes as if someone was actually standing there to feel the disrespect his body language was showing. "That is your problem..you must succumb..submit to me so that I may mold you into better." a vein on Agito's forehead began to bulge as his blood pressure rose. He was getting irritated, this voice proving to be more annoying than dangerous so far. Why had this happened to him? Agito wondered if he was poisoned or under some kind of hypnosis. "Better?" Agito questioned, not liking the implication that he wasn't perfect already. "Stronger~" as the words hissed through Agito's mind he found himself unable to let go of the hilt of his blade. Suddenly, it all finally clicked; it may have taken a shorter time had he not been in the middle of an emergency situation. "You're-""Yes" Agito got it right..he was speaking to his zanpakutou..and probably seemed like a lunatic to anyone standing around because the voice would have to be in his head..as no one else could hear another's zanpakutou under normal conditions. Why didn't you just say that from the beginning? Could have saved us both a lot of time. I like to watch you squirm..besides..time is nothing to me. Agito still remained with his arms folded and eyes closed, looking to others like he was be in deep thought..which he kind of was. Now that his eyes were closed he could see a figure in the distance. Agito wanted to walk closer to the figure but the ground between them was cracked and burned and what was underneath the surface seemed to be some sort of hellish environment as smoke and flames rose from the slight cracks and feint groans and wails could be heard coming form the same place. Do not fear.." Agito was ready to say he had no fear but could not move his mouth to say it. He found it impossible to lie to this being that now not only saw into Agito's mind but soul. "Understand..we did not come together by chance. I chose you because I know who you are...or at least, who you will be." As the figure spoke, the ground began to shake and the surface began to fall in beneath their feet. The cries grew louder and louder suddenly as the layer was removed from between them and Agito. Without anything to stand on Agito feel helplessly, outstretching his hand to the figure that somehow floated above it all. The figure did not seem interesting in stopping Agito's fall as he continued. "Who I will be!? Why must you speak in riddles !?" Agito yelled as he fell helplessly. He looked down towards his landing point and saw nothing but fire and brimstone. Agito's eyes widened in horror as he saw them..the sources of the cries..it looked like people, all burned beyond recognition, bodied seemingly melted to the ground the fiery ground they were on. Some stuck in a crouching or crawling position while some stood straight up, but all wailed and all reached up into the sky as if asking Agito to help..or accepting him into their world as Agito continued to fall towards them."didn't I say I like to watch you squirm?" the voice stated blunty as Agito's descent suddenly stopped only about 12 feet from the fiery surface. "You're not a spirit..you are a devil!" Agito yelled, his heart still beating out of his chest from the fall. He did not appreciate being messed with, especially in his own head. The zanpakuto laughed deeply at Agito's statement. "What's the difference?" the being asked him, now standing close to Agito so that the shinigami could see him clearly. The being was horrifying to say the least, extra arms and eyes, horns, claws, oh my. This thing was definitely not your everyday apparition but, for some reason, even when looking into the eyes of what seemed to be hell itself, Agito could not give an answer as to what the difference was. All Agiot could think was maybe occupation? It was a strange thing, it was not like the devil was bad..per say..its just that he had a task of watching over evil souls and torturing them for all eternity, which could make even the best people change. Would Agito have judged this spirit if it were the guardian of the skies or a soul that ferries souls to heaven? He would have probably thought better of them but in the end, had their 'job' been different then they would behave different. There was also the other side of the coin which was that these spirits were already evil so they were placed in spots that were the best fit for them. This thing could go round and round in Agito's head within his head forever but he got the gist of what the beast was saying; "don't judge a book by its cover". Agito stood to his feet, finally noticing that he and the spirit were standing on air above the fiery ground not too far below, the wails still audible but a a much lower volume. Agito wondered why this was but the spirit already had an answer "Amazing what the mind can do when the spirit is at peace" Agito assumed the being was stating that because he was no longer flustered or frightened he was able to calm his mind and lower the wails of the lost souls below. "You call this..", Agito then spread his hands and motioned to the endless valley of fire and burning souls, "..peace?" The spirit looked at Agito with a cold expression, as if he wanted Agito to listen to what he had to say without any jokes in mind. "The only place peace really exists" the being then pointed one of its long and crooked claws directly at Agito's chest, poking it gently so that Agito could really feel him. It was strange but this conversation made Agito want to break into tears. He was not sad but was in a state of shock that there was someone, something that truly believed the things this spirit said. Agito couldn't believe it because many of these thoughts were feelings the shinigami already had. Many of his responses to the spirit were responses others had given him throughout his life, responses that made him doubt himself and his feelings, wondering if he was on the right path. But this spirit seemed to get him..you did not have to be some goody good to be a soul reaper..it was fine to believe that peace was but a dream for the weak and that the only real peace came from within. it was not his job to make people feel good, it was his job to perform his duties as the second seat of the first division nothing more nothing less. "What is your name?" Agito asked the apparition as it drew it's claw back and stood back to its original height hovering over Agito. "Yokuatsu" the spirit stated. Agito imprinted it to his memory as he was suddenly thrown from the fiery world and back into the darkness that was the back of his eye lids. Agito opened his eyes and found himself laying on all fours, a new blade in his hand and no katana in it's sheath on his left hip. Agito stood up, the sounds of sirens still going off in the background, and examined his new blade. "Yokuatsu eh? That's a pretty nice name for such an ugly guy" Agito mumbled to himself, knowing Yokuatsu could hear but knowing that, if the spirit truly knew him, the spirit would know he was joking. Agito then swiped the blade, allowing it to revert back to its sealed katana state and sheathed it again.
Having finally awakened his zanpakuto, Agito could feel a new source of power lifting him to an even greater level. Things seemed clearer now than they were only a moment ago (even though it felt longer in his head). Agito's confidence was also boosted as well. First his conversation with Rin made him live up to his title and now the meeting with his zanpakuto was the seal on the deal. Agito was officially all in, vice captain of the first division Agito Mibu. Just then, a hell butterfly would float into Agito's direction, looked like he had spoken some things into reality and now had a job to do. The butterfly landed on his finger for a moment. Apparently the divisions were under attack there were many casualties and a threat was being confronted in the 11th. First division was secure for now, Agito wasn't surprised by that, but the a couple divisions had been unusually quiet during such an emergency. Agito was given the task to check on these other divisions and get a physical report. The old man did always like to be safe rather than sorry. "Guess I'll get to it then" the shinigami secured the crest hanging from his left arm, the bold painting of the flower a good representation of the power of the first division. Agito was going to carry out this mission with haste so that he could hurry up and get back to training..but if there happened to be a disturbance during these division checks then Agito might have a way to kill two birds with one stone. The Shinigami ran out of the academy, now the last one of the training party, he had no more time to waste.

AgitoMibu Vice-Captain
╔═F═I═R═S═T════════════S═Q═U═A═D═╗
Agito arrived at the academy, he had sent a hell butterfly ahead to have some training lined up for him so that he could shake off some steam from the events that had passed. He had big plans a little later in the day and had to relax himself and deescalate from all the things that had transpired. Moth was still on the loose last Agito had seen but he was expecting a report that he had been apprehended or killed at any time now.
Agito stepped into the Academy's dojo once again, much different than he was before when he first arrived. He was no longer the shaking boy who was too afraid to claim that he was a vice captain, too afraid to say that he was a true Shinigami. Hell he hadn’t even known his Zanpakutō’s name, yet he walked among the other vice captain knowing that Shikai was a requirement of the rank. Agito felt that he was unworthy due to him not having a Zanpakutō activated and being a member of the Gotei 13 but Agito, when looking back, knows now that he should have actually been proud. Agito had not understood that Shikai was a requirement to enter the ranks of the 13 court Guard Squads because it was an indicator of power. Agito has not realized that even without this indicator he was selected as none other than the vice captain of the first division no doubt. Agito used to hang his head at how solemn his division seemed compared to the others, but he knew now that it was because of the responsibility. He knew now that most would shake at the mere thought of being near the captain commander, let alone one day succeed him or play a big part in his term by working directly with him in missions. Agito was but a boy when he joined, covered in dirt and filled with with memories of hate and violence. Most wanted to ship him off to the 11th but Agito’s fighting style was not fit for the close combat barracks. They thought of him as weak, just another kidou specialist. Agito was more than that, he had more heart than most, an iron will and a vast well of untapped potential..owe yea and the kid had a strong chin. Agito could take a hit from the best of them and get up, ready for round two, and that was something you just couldn’t teach. The old man, AKA captain commander, saw this in Agito, among other things, and decided it would be best for Agito to be his lieutenant, the one around him almost every day. This allowed Agito to be a sponge, picking up on things even the contain commander didn’t want him to see or understand. Agito’s fiery and hate filled view of the world froze over, becoming more of an ice cold silence. Agito understands that there is truly no right or wrong and that in the end all that matters is law and order. This mind set was even more dangerous due to it no longer being something that could be manipulated. Rage is much easier to predict and direct. This mind set was past rage, it was a boundless indifference. An indifference not only to laws themselves but the people they affect as well. Agito didn’t care if the law said to slaughter villages he would do so and he wouldn’t care if the law was to plant gardens for the homeless and needy, he would still do so. All Agito cared about was that there were laws and that people followed them because a life without laws, like the one he suffered before finding the Gotei, was only chaos.
Agito stood and spread his feet shoulder width apart, just like Kazuki had done in their first spar. There was always something to take from every fight, even if it is not a duel to the death. Agito had noticed Kazuki's movements, they were powerful yet fast and fluid. Agito began to practice different fighting poses with his hands, each pose was sharp and solid, not shaking even the slightest, this he got from Moth. the cold blooded killer never hesitated, making every move as if he had been planning it for years. He was unpredictable, powerful and precise, just like a wild tiger. Agito mimicked that calm cold blooded stillness. His breathing was deep and calm allowing him to take in as much Reishi as possible. Even through his pores Reishi was being funneled, the shinigami was ready to begin his training.
Agito stepped out onto the mat, there were three shinigami lined up ready to spar, one was older, hairs greying, but had an eye patch and a large frame, nothing really odd about him except for maybe his age but that would only be from the eyes of a young upstart like Agito. Most shinigami went their whole lives without ever even becoming a vice captain so it would be normal to see older looking shinigami in the ranks. Agito's captain was a surly old man after all. The next was a slender man with long brown hair, one could mistake him from a petite woman from afar but this man wore robes that were open in the middle, showing a ton of scars bruises and whelps that seemed to have been permanently sewn into the flesh on his chest. This man was more than met the eye, that was for sure, and Agito would not take this man lightly. Lastly, there was a woman who was pretty solid yet looked like she could be light on her feet as well, one of Agito's weaknesses had been women in the past, not knowing the proper way to duel them while still showing respect. Agito's interactions with vice captains Akagi and Sanada fixed that. Agito knew that there were powerful warriors out there that were women who would have an easy enough time severing his head from his body without the added help of him going through some kind of crisis of masculinity. No, Agito would treat a woman like any other opponent, granting her the highest amount of respect but utterly crushing her into the dirt like everyone else. The first division vice captain turned to face the three, having done his exercises and show boating to intimidate his enemies a little. Some might not understand why a vice captain would go through such lengths for a simple spar but Agito was not here to just spar, he was here to grow stronger. What he had gathered before him was an assortment of the toughest unseated fighters, all hungry and looking for their chance at climbing the ranks, and what better way to show your stuff than by beating the vice captain of the first division.
These contenders were here to bring their A game and Agito was not one for being caught by surprise too often. Agito knew to never underestimate his opponent, to try and map out every scenario before it happened. He was still miles from mastering this but was making long strides in the right direction every day with every battle, Agito was learning at a phenomenal rate. "Alright, who's first?" Agito asked with a smirk as the first contender stood, the slim man with the long hair. the man's face, along with the other two, was very serious..but this man's face was especially stoic, almost like it was unable to express emotion at all..not anger not anticipation, nothing. Agito couldn't ready this guy at all. Suddenly, the man rushed Agito straight on, a strange move for someone so slight but Agito couldn't resist the bate. Agito stepped in towards his target, showing that he was ready to be the aggressor, his target did not falter meaning that they would have to clash at the point of contact. Agito stepped forward, normally he might have reached for his blade to at least fake a strike but he was no longer battling Ryoka and his Zanpakuto was off limits, merely reaching for it would imply that he would consider breaking that law and Agito was far from desperate enough to even think of it. So instead of going for the slash Agito threw a straight right open palm towards the targets head. The man quickly dodged to the side, Agito was impressed as there were not many who cold dodge him so easily under captain level. The man feinted, as if he would go for a kicking counter but instead threw a jab. this caught Agito off guard but only for a brief moment, still leaving him time to dodge the punch while still admiring the difficulty of the technique the man had just performed. The man was taken back by Agito's speed but continued his attack rush, he ruthlessly flung his arms back and forth at Agito's head and body as if they were more weapons than parts of his own body. Agito blocked but began to feel a twinge in certain areas. It didn't take a genius to know what was going on here, the man was striking the same points over and over again, a technique that could chip away at even the sturdiest of defenses if the right tool was involved. Unfortunately the man was using his own hands and, while they were obviously strong, they would not last enough to break through Agito's defenses. Agito was feeling a little more adventurous today so he decided that he wouldn't fight this guy the easy way but in a way that would maximize his potential gain from this whole exercise. Suddenly all the punches that Agito was blocking, he started to dodge, only managing to avoid a few before jumping back to create a step or two of space. Agito would now dodge the attacks, giving him a potentially good cardio and reflex workout. Seeing Agito start to dodge and step back, the man was filled with a false confidence. He figured that if Agito started dodging all of a sudden that he had cracked Agito's defenses and that now was the time to really turn the heat on. The man rushed Agito again, this time even faster than before, when he got within striking distance, anywhere in his wingspan, the man started his barrage of punches again. Agito's steps betrayed his intentions as he continued to step forward and around his opponent, instead of stepping away. Any trained fighter would see that Agito's style was a trap, they'd be able to tell from the feet work, but Agito's opponent was raw, all he knew was his own power and ability..and that would be his down fall. The man's storm of punches continued, Agito stepping around each one with seeming ease. This pissed the man off, the same man who thought the fight was his only a moment ago, was now being toyed with by this childish looking boy..how pitiful it must have felt for him. The man's face finally started to twist and contort, finally showing emotion, he was angry that things were not going as planned. He was angry that this young upstart who never had to work for everything was just given so much power while he was not..all this clear in his eyes. Agito had seen hundreds if not thousands of men like this in his life, all with the same pitiful look in their eyes, looking as if someone had done something to them. They were blaming others for their lack of power, but when they finally reach a point of true helplessness, pain and sorrow, like Agito, then they will all realize that there was no room for blame or expectations. On the road to power all those things get in the way and must be discarded if one were serious about reaching that goal of being the strongest..or hell even being 'strong' took more guts than it took to pity one's self. Don't ask god why, ask yourself. Agito couldn't take this man's face anymore and his moves were starting to become easier to dodge, a mixture of him tiring and his moves becoming more predictable every time he did them. Agito slipped the last punch the man would be able to throw, stepped under the arm and into the man's body while sending a firm open pal to the man's chest, at the last moment Agito activated a kido that improved his strength, causing his muscles to bulge slightly and veins poke from his wrists as he plowed his palm and fingertips into the man's torso. The impact was so powerful that it sent a gust of wind through the man's body and the impact sounded like the cracking of the sky when a jet breaks the sound barrier. The man's body contorted around Agito's arm, trying to flee from the point of impact any way it could. The man's once stoic and almost zombie-like face now seeming really human with very human feelings of pain and disappointment. Agito would simply moved his arm and step away from the man as he would slowly crumble to his knees and then hunch over, face thumping the canvas. It was time to get him out of here, he was done.
Onlookers looked at Agito in shock and horror as a medic crew came and carted the man off of the training floor. "What's their problem? I didn't even use my Zanpakuto. Agito thought, his innocence showing along with a bit of his sarcastic side. He knew why the crowd looked like that, they had not imagined the baby faced vice captain of the first to behave in such a cold way. He just didn't know what about his appearance made them think this way. Since when were young people looked at as being gentle? It was actually Agito's experience that some of the purest forms of cruelty come from children rather than adults. Agito saw kids do things to other kids in the back alleys that he'd never speak of again, so to have his youthful look be some kind of indicator of his level of gentle was idiotic to say the least. But Agito wasn't worried about the onlookers, that was all they were good for, looking and watching. Agito's mind was focused on his remaining two opponents and, strangely enough, they were the two people closest to the action and yet were the only two who still had a calm serious look on their face and not one of shock, fear, or regret. This was good, this meant that the people Agito had assembled before him were not just all fluff, that there was at least some merit to their recommendation. Agito had told the men to gather the strongest they could find without a seat, the hungriest, because he didn't want to feel bad for beating them into oblivion if they were weak. The first one was skilled but unsatisfying in many ways, but these next two, they seemed very filled with life, even the old man, and power. Agito was excited to actually get a real fight in and not just be dodging around in order to make things harder on himself. Hopefully these next two fights would feel more like fights.
Agito waited for the next opponent, he assumed that they already had a gauge of each others powers and had decided on the order before Agito had even arrived because they seemed to stand and walk up on their own without consulting with each other, or at least that's how the first one went. This time Agito waited as both of the fighters stood up the noticed the other was standing and fired a glare at each other. Agito wanted to laugh at how comical this was but did not want to break the aura he had set for himself already, both to the onlookers and to himself. This was still training, not time to have fun. Agito watched the two silently argue with each other for a little while longer and just as he was starting to open his mouth to tell which one he wanted to come up and who he wanted to wait the old man suddenly sat down and folded his arms. "Hmph, ladies first." the man said in a smart a** type of way. Agito had no idea why the man finally let her go or why they were even arguing about it in the first place. What he did know was that there was no question that the skinny man went first which meant that it had to be understood that his abilities were not on the same level as the other two. Almost like an appetizer. Agito enjoyed the animal-like nature of these two so far and he liked that they did the job of weeding out the weak link for Agito so he wouldn't have to work too hard himself, that was very nice of them but unnecessary because, in the end, Agito wold have had to fight all of them and find out for himself anyway..but it did make for a more efficient workout. Agito watched as the woman made her way to the center of the mat. Agito noticed that she had some large hands and feet, not just for a woman, but for most people her size or Agito's. It was a bit creepy but Agito figured that the larger hands and feet served for stronger tools when fighting, not just for the power of the blows but also allowed for more decisive grappling techniques. Large feet also related to explosive power, her leaping ability and amount of power she could gather from only one or two steps would be higher than the average. Agito did not know all of these things for certain but had seen his share of battles by now and was good at going off of past experiences to make predictions of the future. When the woman got to directly in front of Agito he could see that she was actually bigger than him by about three inches, which made her roughly six foot six, she was also pretty solid, did not seem like she had an ounce of body fat on her. It seemed that Agito might have run into a prime physical specimen, which was perfect, it meant that he could probably get a chance to work on some of his binding and healing kido..hopefully she would be fast and strong enough for that to happen.
The match begun with Agito pressing the action first, not waiting for his opponent to get in motion with those long legs and powerful feet. Agito closed the distance, attempting to get into the woman's core to deliver an incapacitating palm just like the last guy, he would teach them for thinking they were better than one another when they were all only here to help Agito get stronger in different ways. The woman saw Agito's attack coming however and brought her leg up and across Agito's arm towards his head. Agito quickly ducked, he had already stooped down for the attack and now had to go lower. Agito avoided the foot but had went too low and left himself open within her range. The woman side stepped Agito while delivering a firm snap kick on the side that she stepped to. The blow snapped into Agito's side, the impact heard throughout the academy. This time it did hurt a little and Agito was still using his reiatsu to shield himself. This woman had to be freakishly strong and she was very good on her feet, two things Agito had a feeling would be the case. Agito regained his composure from the kick and turned just in time to see the woman stepping into another kick, this one straight on like a spear, most likely meant to push him back like the classic spartan kick.
Agito, taking a page from her book, side stepped the leg and grabbed her ankle in hopes of stopping her from moving. He then unleashed a Hadou number 4 as vice captain Kesato had done when they first encountered moth. It was a quick skill that did not need an incantation, yet packed a punch. Great for first strikes, the lightning attack hit its target, zapping the woman with how ever many volts were coursing through the basic kidou shot. Agito didn't put any extra juice on it because it was just a sparring match but he didn't hold back too much so that she would take him lightly again. Agito was a kidou specialist and, while he did like to train his body physically, his primary offensive was kidou and he wanted his opponents to be very aware of that. When people fight against kidou specialist they often try to get in close due to the stereotype that kidou wielders were fragile. Agito trained his body to be able to take advantage f these moments, when the opponent swore they had the upper hand and rushed in full hardy. That element of surprise would be eliminated if Agito used his kidou less now that he was getting more physically proficient. It was like that old saying, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Agito's fighting style wasn't a problem and wasn't easily exploitable due to the vast amount of kidou one can learn and wield, especially someone like him who was efficient in all divisional Kidou and not just the skills generalized to everyone. He was a master and anyone who faced a master would be cheated if they didn't get lit up with kidou the first time they slipped. The woman's body jumped and tensed as it was hit with the electric current. It did not take her out but definitely left a mark on her, she quickly jumped back, no longer wanting to be within range of another one of Agito's attacks. Unfortunately for her, Agito's attacks varied in range, he could hit a target from anywhere. Agito whipped a hand around and fired a wolf's blade towards the woman, a stronger form of the previous hadou. This one had a little more bite and traveled to the woman's location before digging into the ground where she was standing. she's on the move.. Agito thought as he scanned the battlefield looking for the woman who he had only taken his eye off for a moment, vainly looking at the power of his own strike rather than the exact location of the target. The girl was smart, knowing that a straight out offensive was not her best chance she switched to a stealthier approach, Agito had to give it to her she sure did pick a good time to change up, it was probably her only time she would catch Agito not looking at her, his gaze usually so focused. No matter how much the first division vice captain told himself he was not going to underestimate these opponents, he had and was now paying the consequences for his mistake. His eyes darted left and right until suddenly the woman appeared to his left, a leg full of swirling pressure heading right for Agito. Shunko! Agito thought as the leg came crashing in. Agito managed to get his hands up in time, catching the leg with his bare hands. The force of the blow bruised his hands and turned his knuckles red, now this was starting to turn into a real fight! He pushed the girl's foot back towards her, throwing her off balance. Agito then jumped forward with a lunging knee that the girl sidestepped. Agito landed on one foot and used his other foot to plant and launch two phoenix fireballs at the woman. She was so close that it was almost impossible to avoid the strike but she was so fast that anything was possible with her shunko. In a small burst of flames the woman vanished, to reappear not too far away. she had obviously avoided most of the attack or else she would not be standing but her arm was burnt showing signs that she did not manage to escape unscathed. Agito was tempted to ask the girl if she wanted to quit but already knew her answer. After all these warriors were competing for a seat in the gotei 13, something that most here would lay down their lives for. Agito knew a simple burn wouldn't hold the girl back form pursuing her dreams and beating the one thing stopping her, Agito.
The woman roared as her attacks began to tear through the air again, the cyclones around her wrists and ankles twirling more intensely than before. She basically flew at Agito with a show of force and grace to deliver another kick. The woman's flaw was starting to show, she mostly only went for kicks. She most likely chose kicks because they were more powerful and had a longer range, the obvious best plan of attack on paper. But paper did not always transfer to the field and this plan did not seem to account for predictability. If Agito knew that she was going for a kick he can just wait for the signs of an incoming kick and ignore any possible showing of a punch. It basically made Agito's job twice as easy by taking away half of the attacks he would have to worry about in an all around fighter. The woman most likely relied on her speed to just bombard opponents with kicks, not much unlike the man who Agito fought before. Her mastery of shunko allowed her more success but so far Agito didn't see much difference. Agito ducked the woman's kick and swept his own leg under her, tripping the leg she was standing on to make the kick and sending her falling to the ground. The move was basic but had been done so fast and precise that most wouldn't even have been able to register everything that transpired between the girl's kick and her hitting the ground. Agito slightly pivoted in order to complete the move with a twirl and pose, it was almost time for the grand finale and he would have to be stylish in order to do it any real justice. The woman rose to one knee and looked at Agito with a look he was not unfamiliar with..a look of disdain. The woman knew that she couldn't win and she was angry, not with Agito but with herself. Her fury burned and was the engine behind the winds that somehow continued to grow in speed around her limbs. The power now becoming so strong that Agito's clothes began to churn in the winds. The first division vice captain smirked as the woman pulled out all the stops. He liked her energy, it was a constant flux between a second division shinigami and an eleventh. She was strong, powerful and yet never gave up, continuing to fight to the end and seemingly getting stronger while doing so. Then again, that last one was something Agito noticed about all types of beings..beings with that extra drive to push past their limits. He had to give her props, she seemed pretty bad a**. The winds literally lifted the woman's body from the ground as she snarled at him almost like she was telling him to stop smiling and that the fight wasn't over yet. She vanished to the naked eye and appeared a step above Agito, bringing her foot down to hit him from above. Agito rose his hand but instead of blocking the kick he released a sapphire hurricane, a powerful ball of water element kido that would push and immobilize his targets. It wasn't considered a spell for attacking but, when released so close to the woman, at such an unexpected time and with such a strength, it flung the woman away with force. it slammed the girl into the ground and bombarded her with high speed waters that kept her from moving. She struggled just to not drown. The woman coughed and smacked the waters away as best she could but, when the kido cleared she was just sitting there soaked and helpless. Agito's fist crackled with another lightning kido that he had locked and loaded, ready to give the girl a final dose of his lightning prowess, especially after hitting her with a sapphire hurricane which increased the potential damage of lightning techniques due to the water being a good conductor. Agito had the kido prepared but didn't end of needing it. The woman's shunko was no longer activated and she was obviously no longer willing to battle. She stood up, still dripping wet, and bowed to Agito. This was a pleasant surprise to Agito based on how the last guy was. This was someone who wasn't a sore loser, even though it was easy to tell that she was not pleased with the loss at all. After bowing the woman gave a look to the older man who was still sitting waiting for his turn. She then walked off, past her previous seat, and out the door of the academy. Agito was thinking that she would return to see how the match ended between Agito and the old man. It seemed like she didn't care though..she was no longer fighting so it did not matter if she was here or not. Agito could understand that and would have felt similar had he been in her shoes. There was nothing wrong with taking a loss but Agito was never one to take a loss without learning from it. The best way to practice things learned in battle is to train, so when Agito loses he usually goes to train as soon as possible, even if its right after the fight. Hell, Agito was here right after an encounter with a Ryoka. Most people would have went and got healed or give a report but not Agito, he was right in the academy picking up where he left off before all craziness started.
Agito remained judge free as the doors closed behind the woman, he understood. Next was the older man who had been waiting patiently. When Agito looked over to the old man he noticed that the man had a slight grin on his face. This was much different from the other two when they were walking up, both trying to give Agito as little emotion to go on as possible. Had this man thought of a new method to get in Agito's head? Maybe he was just happy to finally be fighting after waiting for so long? There was no way Agito could know for sure he was not a mind reader or had any talent for faking it. Most would have probably taken the smile as an insult but Agito had been around his share of battle crazed warriors recently and could tell when someone was just pumped for a fight. The man shrugged his shoulders and stretched, all with a smile. The man's smile was wide but his gaze was intense, if Agito had just been looking at him from the eyes up he would think the man was scowling at him. Agito had no idea why, but for some reason looking at this man reminded him of looking in the mirror. It's not that they looked anything alike but it was just something about the intent behind the gaze; almost like they were threatening to kill you without even frowning..the eyes of a killer. The man then took his battle stance, one that was different from the other two but one still very familiar to Agito. The man's stance was similar to Agito's own, the stance of a kidou specialist. Agito's cold gaze turned into one filled with fire and lightning. Agito spread his feet, opening both palms out towards his opponent as if they were clawed. The reiatsu practically jumping off of his finger tips, primed to let loose Kidou after Kidou. "This is gonna' be fun!" the man exclaimed "My feelings exactly." Agito returned.
The man then lunged forward, a massive wall of flaming hadou on his hand as he struck down, unleashing its full fury in the form of a wave atop Agito's head. Agito's eyes widened as he saw the mass of the attack and the realization that even if he blocked the attack, the man was coming in for a physical strike behind it, using it as a cover. Agito jumped to the side as fast as he could, still receiving some burns to his sleeve. He looked back to see the floor he was standing on just a moment ago dented and smashed in under the feet of the older man. The cyclops of a man looked at Agito with his only eye that was not covered by an eye patch..and smiled. The man then stepped forward while flinging his arm forward, unleashing a wolf's blade from the extended arm. Agito dodged to the side again, dodging the wolf's blade but was startled by a shadow that had suddenly been cast over him. The older man was already above Agito, slamming his hands together and creating a water dragon that emerged from his reiatsu; the dragon pummeled Agito mid-dodge. "HA!" the man shouted, closing the distance to the now flying Agito, still recovering from the last attack. it seemed the man had a fighting style similar to Agito's, but instead of defense being a tertiary killer trait, his was his raw physical strength. That coupled with his speed and impressive Kidou allowed him to attack with an intensity most could not match. The only problem with this style was that, if an opponent ever got a chance to get off a good attack that hit its mark, these guys would fall a little bit easier than Agito. Agito stepped forward, activating Bougyoudo #24: Ryukin, increasing his strength by a fair amount. Agito's muscles bulged as he closed in to the man who was also coming towards him on full tilt. The man through a punch which landed flush into Agito's brow, Agito's defensive prowess allowing him to take the blow without much damage. Agito continued through with his step despite being hit, throwing his own punch which slammed right into the man's gut. The wind left the man's body, evident in his face despite how much he tried not to show. It was just as Agito thought, Agito's punch then erupted with a wolf's blade that was so intense it jolted out of the man's body, crackling into the air. The man could barely move, muscles being temporarily paralyzed by the coursing volts. Despite the paralysis the man was not done so Agito leaped back a couple feet, upon landing a Hadou #58: Glacialis shot from the ground where he planted, the wave of ice quickly coursing to the spot the older man stood, knocking him down onto a frosty surface. Agito jumped into the air, giving the large man a taste of his own medicine. Agito released a wave of fire, none other than one of the first techniques he learned Hadou #54: Abolishing Flames. The flames crashed over the man as he tried to stand to his feet but slipped on the icy academy floor, glossed with Agito's glacialis. The flames washed over the man and the ground, scorching the man's skin and melting the ice that kept the man immobile on the floor.
Agito came crashing down, slamming his foot into the man's broad back that was covered in wounds from being scorched by Agito's attack. When Agito's foot made contact, he was surprised to find that the back didn't give but pushed back, causing Agito to push off and land a couple feet away. The hulking man stood to his feet and looked over his shoulder with a murderous intent as he activated his shunko. Agito jumped at the sensation of the wind hitting him. The pressure had reached Agtio from such a range..truly a power shunko. Agito could only imagine how much spiritual power this man had, being a kidou wielder like Agito, and his psychical strength was obviously on a class of its own. This shunko was undoubtedly going to pack one hell of a punch, it was time to buckle down and brace for an all out assault. The man rushed forward, a hurricane of power and fury. Agito wasn't going to be able to take one of these blows; he dodged to the side. The man was already waiting for Agito before his foot planted, blasting the smaller shinigami with a massive hook to the ribs. Agito buckled from the blow then rolled away just in time to avoid the man slamming his other fist directly down into the ground Agito was just standing on a moment ago. The man was going to obliterate Agito if he got the chance. Vice captain Mibu rolled to his feet, not stopping and giving the man a chance to strike this time, he launched Hadou #57: Mizu no Ryuu aka the water dragon, coupled with the always handy hadou #7 wolf blade. Agito's mastery of the Bougyoudo #54: Double Incantation allowed him to cast two kidou at once, it is a difficult technique that he could only pull off a couple times a fight, so he would always pick his spots carefully. This was definitely a spot, the spells launched out at the opponent, the water dragon colliding with the wofl's blade and making the later even more potent. The double spell exploded into the man. The older warrior managed to use his own abilities to slightly redirect the blast, making it fall just short of him and exploded on the ground immediately in front. The power still enough to wound the man even if he was not hit directly, but the damage reduced a good enough deal to still be standing. Agito was starting to question why this man hadn't been seated yet..no he had been asking that since he first locked eyes with him. There was just something about how he had carried himself, as if he already knew he had won.
The man exploded from the cloud of mist created by Agito's lightning water attack, his shunko still actively moving everything in its path as a hurricane of reishi swirled about the man's giant body. He hurled his fists at Agito with fury, Agito dodged what he could but had to block three, each time he blocked his body feeling more and more pain. Agito's defense was not enough to stop the full power of this man's might and the damage was starting to add up quickly. Agito had to think of something quick, he rolled back and culled upon a binding kidou, a popular one, Bakudou #61: Six Staves of Blinding Light, the spell lunged forth in the form of bands of light. They pushed into the man and tried to detain him but he easily broke free. Luckily Agito was only using the spell to bide him some time, every little second so precious against a fast opponent. Agito, now with at least two steps of distance, "Hadou #33: Blue Firefall" Agito chanted before unleashing a ball of fire straight from his hand towards the man. The fire intensity was impressive, smacking the man dead on and actually managing to stop him in his tracks. The burns from Agito's abolishing flames causing the man to be even more sensitive to fire attacks than normal. His shunko was impressive, but was just another weapon held by a man with no armor. Like a village that stumbled across a knight's sword, it was almost a shame. Agito didn't hesitate, upon seeing the slight weakness to fire he doubled up " Hadou #66 Twin Lotus Blue Firefall! Hadou #54: Abolishing Flames!" Agito using his double incantation yet again and probably for his final time this fight unleashing a hellstorm of fire kidou towards the man who was currently lacking in fire resistance. The attacks crashed against the man's skin as he howled out, the fires singing his clothes even more as he tried to power through the flames. He emerged again from the flames, but this time much slower. The man no longer had the same drive he had to burst though wall after wall and keep attacking, his well of health had dried up. Agito walked towards the man, one hand extended out and ready to cast whatever spell he needed just in case this man wasn't as out for the count as he had thought. "alright kid, alright" the man said with a sigh, dropping to one knee as his body smoked from the flames of Agito's kidou. The man had withstood one hell of a barrage Agito was surprised he had made it this far with literally no defense. This man before Agito was an animal, a pure show of force and will, he earned Agito's respect as a warrior and if Agito had the power to make him a true member of the gotei 13 he would in a heart beat, but Agito was not the one in charge of recruitment. Agito merely patted the man on the shoulder as he walked by, his bruises and wounds sustained from these battles and those before had started to get uncomfortable beneath his robes.
It felt like it was finally time for Agito to return to his barracks and start on his report. This report might go down for the longest one he would ever have to do, between his training session with the other divisions, both his encounters with the Ryoka moth and his training bouts with these three individuals he would have a lot to write. If Agito wanted to write more he could include all the new skills he learned or picked up along the way..but Agito usually didn't include stuff like that in his reports. After all, what if the information got into the wrong hands? He wouldn't want a list of everything he could do on file for easy pickings. "Tch..I need an assistant for times like this."" Agito said to himself, talking about the paperwork. He hated this part of the job and often took him much longer than the average shinigami to do. Most who were like him would just push their work on some other oaf who didn't mind the extra chore or just a lower rank that had to obey, but Agito was unfortunately in a division that did not operate like most; Agito often went for extended periods without seeing another member of his division. One was usually enough to handle whatever job they were sent to do, two would just be overkill and a waste of resources.
Agito walked out of the academy, drying his face with a towel. He hadn't been the biggest help when this ryoka thing was going on but hoped his training here would improve his abilities a great deal. As Agito walked down the steps he began to feel the same crippling feeling he got when facing moth. Wincing and holding his side the shinigami slowly made his way towards the cemetery, he needed a quiet place to clear his head. He had forgotten something important, but what was it?

Sighing softly the vice captain would show up to the shino academy. A place where she technically went to and graduated not to long ago. She had rose through the ranks at a rapid rate due to what she was capable of. Something that she had kept to herself due to the fact that no one really needed to know about her. Looking around she made sure she was by herself in the area she was at. It was something that she would prefer before she did anything else as she didn't need others knowing just how fast or slow she was. Just as she was sure that no one else was watching she sighed as she was extremely bored at this time. Something that would happen a lot due to what she was being put through within her life. Having to be practically put on a leacshe until she was given the go ahead by higher up to let loose and let the enemy know they screwed up in life. This however was a very small scenario due to the fact that there wasn't a lot that the soul society needed her expertise for.
While the vice captain cracked her neck rolling it from side to side she thought of the first technique she would learn. She was an odd ball to say the least since most of the information on her joining the soul society was kept under highly sensitive information. Which very few individuals would have access to it, let alone being able to talk about how she got in the way she did. Taking in a deep breath her tiny fangs bared themselves to all who might of been watching before letting the breath out. She came here for privacy but the reality of the matter was that her paranoia never really left her alone. Her eyes focusing on the ground before her as her tails gently pushed down on the earth below her. Lifting her body up so that she could focus upon her thoughts more in a form of meditation while crossing her legs. Her paws moved to her hips in this feline form and she closed her eyes. Concentrating on the sound of the chirping of the birds and the soft whispers of the wind. Both of which would help her in this event while she continued to focus upon her reiatsu. Attempting to hone it into a physical form into an ability that would greatly aid her when the battle was over in case it should ever be truly needed. The reality of the matter was that it probably wouldn't be needed if ever, yet it would be better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it. Well that's what her thoughts were telling her on the matter of this technique at the very least. Which it is true isn't it? Or was she merely overlooking into the use of this technique because of what she could do? Or rather the sick and twisted ideas that her dark mind could come up with her doing. The ability to think of dangerous poisons for her to utilize within combat. Since that was the only option for her at this time anyway. Since her inability to speak with her zanpakuto was significantly harming her in comparison to the others. Not that it mattered too much as she would always find a way to complete any assassination handed her way. As well as being useful on the battlefield should she need to be there in the first place. But that would require many factors and events to occur before she even set foot there. The biggest thought that comes to mind would be the eleventh division would have to utterly and completely fail in fighting the enemy on the front lines. It is something that is possible but surely that would be something rare that would occur right? Then again she hadn't socialized with the other vice captains or anyone else. So that might indeed be a possibility seeing as she didn't know others to begin with. There was an odd sensation within her and she could feel the pull of her reiatsu forming into the technique she had set out to learn. After blanking out for a short time she would come back to her senses and work on being able to use probably the only medical ability she'd every care about. Medical knowledge would come into handy sure but in regards to using their techniques it would be rare if ever, even if she could perform such a feat. Taking in a steady breath she would begin to mold the air around her. Condensing her reiatsu to physically form in front of her as she began to recall the incantation from her mind. Throwing her paw out in front of her she would focus everything into attempting this technique. "Father of water, Cleanse the red tide! Way of Healing, number forty-six Purified Waters!" The vice captain would shout almost as if shouting at the water taking form on the ground below her. As reiatsu flowed into the water created a soft smile would creep upon her face. It was the smile that she held most of the time to be exact. A s**t eating grin of the cat who at the canary. As her tails extended the height at which she was hovering at was increased. As if giving her more to think about in the way of how to perform this next technique. This one was definitely going to be a bit tricky when she didn't know too much about kido to begin with. Yet here she was attempting to master the various forms of it in less than a day. Something that was fool hardy to begin with. But again here she was trying to get as much as she could done. So that she could claim her rightful spot as a representative of the second division vice captain. So much responsibility was thrust upon her the moment she joined... especially with how she joined it was Upon successfully joining she was shoved into the slot as vice captain to prove her worth. Then she would be able to become a captain within the squad after showing her lethality upon others. Something that she knew that they knew what she was capable of... yet she would humor them for the shits and giggles of the matter. To make them feel at ease with their choice of a vice captain to lead others in a deadly game that she loved to play ever so much. Still with that thought she went back to what truly mattered at this time. Her long, boring, and unenthusiastic training. Something that even the mentors of her past could agree to. That this almost felt like it was the biggest waste of time. Almost... With a soft sigh she would focus upon the reiatsu in both of her paws and point it to the ground a bit in front of her. Working on pouring all of it into her adorable, furry, tiny cat paws that held their direction. The soft pads upon them a charcoal grey in color while her fur blew with the wind as well as her jacket while focusing. The pain in the a** about this technique was the fact that it was going to take a bit to learn. Then she would only be able to use what she had already learned twice in a row. Just to make sure that this technique she was performing was actually working. A bit of a pain in the a** to think about but yet she was here to ensure that she would be battle ready for whatever came her way. Hell or high water she would claim the rank of captain and kill all others who stood in her way of doing so. Blinking a bit her feline eyes concentrated upon the visual point of where she wanted both of the techniques to go. It would definitely be almost flooding the area by the time she was done but she didn't really care in the slightest about that. Only that she was producing results as the others had asked of her at this time. Or rather of what one individual had asked of her at that time. She would appease that individual since they saw potential in her and asked her to join the ranks of the Soul Society. Something she wouldn't take lightly since she was promised a much more exciting life then the one that she had previously. A long sigh escaped her furred lips as she was already getting bored of this crap. Thinking of much better ways for her to be spending her time other than doing stupid training like this... even if it were necessary she could always just work on finding better ways to kill people right? That was the important think yes? Well of course that was the important thing with her squad, especially with there being no captain at the time that she was the vice captain. It made things a lot better as she wouldn't have to fight anyone to get anything done in a manner she wanted them done. No politics or anything to slow down how she wanted to go about situations. To simply receive a target and be informed to get it done by any means necessary. Such an exciting prospect within her life as she always enjoyed such a wonderful hunt. The smile continued to be a constant upon her face at this time. Such wonderful thoughts she had of the future and what she might be asked to do. The targets she'd be asked to hunt down and eliminate no matter what. Upon feeling a familiar pull she began to work on what she knew she had to "Father of water, Cleanse the red tide! Way of Healing, Father of water, Cleanse the red tide! Way of Healing number forty-six Purified Waters! Way of Healing number forty-six Purified Waters!" She shouted proudly after being able to create two puddles of healing water almost at the exact same time. After the effective use of the double incantation she knew she was getting somewhere. It didn't matter where she was getting with all this training so much as long as she was going somewhere in general. That wasn't such a bad thing was it? To sit there and think nothing other th an the training that had to be completed so that she might be able to ******** others up within combat. The create an infinite cycle of hatred and despair towards her. To create others just like her every single moment to attempt to kill her. The thought of it was ever so exciting. The reality of it was fairly true as well. Should those of the Rukongai see her true form they wouldn know who she truly was and more than likely attempt to come after her. Attempt, something that they wouldn't succeed on surely due to how vicious she was within combat. Every moment of every day was to be contributed to murdering others in an effort to break through and be the most famous assassin in existence. The thought made her s**t eating grin a bit wider. It was something she hadn't worked on in a while either since she was asked to join and kill creatures much more powerful than her current prey. An exciting aspect to be sure thus is why she took the offer without any hesitation in the slightest. Then again half of it was to simply see if there was anything out there that was strong, intelligent or even more devious to take her down. Such a thought within her mind was an extremely thrilling aspect. Just the thought of something out there being her equal as just... soul lifting. A thought that brought a bigger smile to her face while her mind further delved into the abyss of the atrocities of her mind. The things that were the farthest in the back that only she could think of a a horrible being set on killing others. For the simple pleasure and the 'game' involved in the effort. The game that has been handed to her by another killer in her life. One that she believes in whole-heartedly that puts her above others when it comes to a job like this. Especially for the squad she was assigned to in the dire times of the soul society. The game of who's the better killer. It was a came that took her many upon many decades to even become familiar with... let alone learn to the point where she understands it now. It has alwasy been a fun game for her in the aspect that none had come even close yet to obtaining what she held in her soul. It was odd enough that she had become a resident of the soul soul society. She had thought for certain when everything occurred she'd become a hollow. How she didn't will forever be a mystery to her for everything she has ever done as her time as a human. It didn't take much longer before she began to feel the pull of her reiatsu again. Her smile disappearing as she began to concentrate more than anything. Licking her dagger like teeth and pointing her hands back at the ground in front of her. Her reiatsu began to glow in her hands. Then she began to slowly call the incantation like she had befoer so that she might use both the techniques like before. "Way of healing number forty-six Purified Waters!" She shouted off the top of her lungs to get her blood flowing again. She was so close to being able to use this instrumental technique so that she could be a threat to others even more. Taking in steady breaths and letting it out ever so slowly. Cracking her neck while her eyes were closed she felt a bit more at ease. Still concentrating on what she had to do this was a bit more difficult due to the fact she didn't use a full incantation. After a few more moments water began to form in a puddle in front of her like earlier. It was an attempt to deal with the poison that might be used by those of her squad. After all they were the deadliest of the bunch and thus would use only the best methods for killing others. No matter what type of poison it was she would have a chance to make sure her squad didn't kill themselves over such things. Something crossed her mind and her paw gently palmed her own face as she groaned with a realization. She'd never be able to tell them about the 'Who's the better killer' game. They'd be at each others throats at all times of the day and there'd be no sleep what so ever. "Hey this is going to be useful isn't it?" Yato asked with no one being in the area to answer the question. Her insanity led her to believe that someone was there, as if she could sense what others would not. "Yeah, I know its a great ability to use as well. One that would allow me to be able to slaughter other a lot quicker than normal." She began only to sigh from the reality that the individual before her wasn't willing to admit that he had been caught by her. "You know I can smell you." She said softly and huffing as she did so. She spoke freely to this individual knowing that she was going to kill him for being such an annoying best at this time. Hiding in the shadows even as he had been found out. But that was the reality of a sheep thinking they were a wolf right? "Come on out now young pup. Lets see what you got." She said softly as she got off of her tails and stood on her paws. "Stop wasting my time pup. Let's get this over with. It's only going to help with my training using you as a pin cushion." She said almost hissing as she was quickly growing annoyed and showing that she was acting out of character for herself. Rolling her eyes she groaned out loud from the annoyance of this pissant standing before her. "Come on out you little s**t!" Yato shouted to her little stalker knowing that this individual was here to play the game she ever so enjoyed. Rolling her eyes again she would turn her back on the individual in an attempt to coax them out to play. Such was the life of a coward to hide in the shadows even when found out. It wasn't too much longer before commotion could be heard in the distance and she growled out more as most of her training had been interrupted. While not caring in the slightest about the one watching her she would make her way over to the commotion to see what the hell was going on.
As she began to walk away there was a lot of talk of what was going on from the young ones as she passed them. They didn't have any idea of what was really going on to the exact degree but she was gathering up all the details at this time. But she was understanding enough to know that whatever was happening was completely out of the norm with the soul society. She was going to have to go there just to make sure everything was okay and also due to the fact that she might be needed there. Finally being allowed to be let loose upon the enemy of the soul society so that she could scratch and particular troubling itch. One that she would desperately need at this time.
Fae hated the Academy, and always had. She hated the way it looked, like a big giant blister, a pustule on the face of what could be a garden or something much more useful. However, she was a Shinigami of some rank, and part of her duty in the 5th division was the training of new recruits. This was a task she enjoyed, though she had a suspicion that her sentiments would not be shared by her pupil. They would hurt today.
She burst through the doors as if brought in by a strong gust of wind. Some of the other shinigami who were gathered here scattered, a few who had been unlucky enough to experience her tutelage. Her eyes searched the dojo like a predator, ready to strike at the poor weak soul who had been chosen to study with her today. She would rather be in the forest, and someone was going to pay for stopping her from being there.
When the Dojo had mostly emptied out, there was one soul left. A shivering wet-behind0-the-ears man in his early twenties. His eyes were wide, though there was not the recognition in them that the others shared. He seemed to be mostly going off of social cues from the others; they were scared so he figured he should be as well. He would learn today what fear truly meant.
Fae wasted no time in beginning her lesson.
”Bind him, Nemizir.”
The vines spring out of the bamboo planks, splintering them on their way towards their target. They wrapped around the poor boy in an instant, holding his arms fast against his sides and lifting his whole body off the floor.
Lady Faewyn’s steps were silent as she approached the immobilized shinigami.
”I’m going to hurt you today. But you will learn…”
Her staff came up, slowly, as if she had all the time in the world. She began to speak, but her tone was different, her voice echoing a bit louder in the empty training room.
“Disintegrate, black dog of Rondaniini. Look upon your burning soul and sever your throat! Bakudou #9 Conquer!”
She didn’t need to speak the incantation, but this was training. How was this poor soul to learn the way of the demon arts if he did not hear the incantations of the spells used to punish him. She smirked as the red light surrounded him, constricted him. She let the vines loosen enough that he could feel how helpless he was to the light.
”Go on… Fight back…” Fae whispered, her smirk growing into a malevolent grin. The shinigami tried to rush her, doing the hand motions for a spell of his own, but found that his movement was restricted too much for him to even come close to landing a hit on her. As he slowly approached, she simply kicked his knee out from under him, allowing him to face plant on the cold wooden floor.
Fae approached the poor boy as he lay on the ground, whimpering. She knelt down beside him, running her hand through his hair lightly.
”Look at you... You’re pathetic.”
She patted his head twice and stood back up to her full height. ”Binding kidou are very valuable. You couldn’t even finish your incantation before you were at my mercy…Try again.”
The dissapointing shinigami began to chant again, but before even a few syllables had left his lips, Fae was returning with her own incantation, as if fighting a child.
”Oh ruler, the mask of flesh and blood, all creations of the universe, fluttering of the wings, ye who bears the name of man! On the wall of blue flame, etch a twin lotus. In the abyss of great fire, a scorching sun awaits. Hadou #66 Twin Lotus Blue Firefall!”
The words flowed out of Fae like water, as if she had spoken them a hundred times. A thousand times. The flames screamed as they left her fingertips, right where she aimed them. The twin balls of flame slammed into the shinigami trainee like a ton of bricks. His clothes smoldered, and his skin still sizzled.
”Too slow again… Ho w unfortunate…” She kicked the shinigami while he was down, not too hard, but enough to get her point across. He whimpered in pain.
”Pathetic. Go to the 4th division and get yourself cleaned up.” If she had any concern for the safety of her pupil, it did not show in her features in any way. She watched coldly as the shinigami picked himself up and limped away, out of the academy. She wasn’t certain if this boy would even make it that far, but she didn’t really care either way. There were other, possibly less disgustingly useless shinigami to train. Or at least punish.
To sped things along, she decided to train two shinigami at the same time next, a young man and woman. She did not recognize them, but she lowered her stance menacingly and waited for one of them to be stupid enough to strike. As she could have guessed, it was the male that would play the fool, screaming like an animal as he sprinted to his doom. She didn’t even use a kidou spell on him. Fae simply stepped to the side and tripped the poor idiot, bringing her knee upinto his nose as he fell. She felt his nose break, and the blood soak into the cloth of her breeches. Her smile only grew as the man screamed in pain. She turned to the woman next, leaving the man whimpering on the floor.
”Are you capable of more than… that?” She gestured where the shinigami male had lay just moments before
The girl - for that’s all she was, no more than 17 years old - took up a fighting stance in response. Fae’s smile grew a little warmer, if still frigid compared to any other smile.
”Then let us begin.”
Fae forewent the use of incantations entirely at this point, simply slinging spells at the girl, who seemed quite skilled herself, deftly deflecting some of them, and dodging from the ones she couldn’t block. Fae was impressed. She almost felt pity for what she was about to do to the poor girl.

The girl dodged to the side, Fae’s vines nearly grabbing her ankles and taking ehr off of her feet. In retaliation, a pair of blue fireballs came screaming at the druid, the twin lotus blue firefall hadou. Faewyn smiled, even as the flames licked at her hair on one side. If she was concerned about her appearance, it did not show on her face. She seemed to be quite enjoying herself.
Faewyn forewent the use of kidou for a while, and released her shikai instead. ”Bind her, Nemizir!” she shouted, as vines erupted from all around, smashing through the bamboo planks of the floor of the training dojo. The bloodseeker vines were hungry, and lashed out violently at the girl, who deftly dodged most of the strikes, but was bit on the ankle. The poison began to seep into her veins. Her movement slowed, but she was still quick to cut the vines away before they could deliver their full payload of poison. The wounded vines reared back, hissing violently like serpents.
While the girl was distracted by the vines, Faewyn began doing the somatic companents for another spell of her own. A white light opened up above them, as six staves of blinding light came down from the heavens, pinning the girl to the ground.
”Well done, child… What is your name?” Fae approached the girl slowly, as if she had all the time in the world. The girl looked up in defiance, and spat at Fae. This was a reaction many students had to her cruel tutelage. They came into the dojo expecting a kind teacher, and were often disappointed when they were aced with the harsh reality of actual combat with a foe who aims to hurt them.
”Hm… a pity. I would have put in a good word for you. No matter.” With a grunt, Fae stomped on the girl’s head, knocking her out cold. Blood seeped from one of the girl’s ears as the staves of light faded. A few shinigami rushed into the dojo, their concern for the shinigami girl outweighing their fear of Lady Faewyn. ”Yera! Are you ok!” they shouted, two of them hurrying to scoop the unconscious girl up and rush her out of the dojo. Faewyn made note of her name. She was a woman of her word, and would be putting in a good word for the girl. She had used her kidou effectively. Fae’s hand reached up to feel the burnt ends of hair on her left scalp and sighed. That had been an excellent bit of spellwork. It was rare that a student came that close to her.
Fae decided she was done with “hands on” tutelage for the day, and decided to engage in a little independent study instead. She wandered out of the main dojo and into a library where books on Kidou theory were kept, finding a table and sitting for a while before she decided where to begin. After a few minutes of deep thought, she decided to go peruse the stacks in the Kidou Theory section.
After a few minutes of searching, Faewyn found a curious looking leather bound tome that seemed to be out of place. The cover was unadorned, but in fairly good condition, if a little dusty, as if it had been meticulously cared for and then forgotten in the stacks. Most of the books here were dusty. Few shinigami were interested in kidou theory as much as practice. Shinigami were a practical bunch. Few would delve into a subject as heady as the study of demon arts and how they work. Most shinigami only cared that they worked.
Fae grabbed this curious book among a few others, and made her way back to a table, spreading them out before her and commencing to studying. She opened the leather book first, and found that the book was hand-written. As she flipped through the pages, the book seemed to be a student’s notes from the Kidou Academy. She skimmed a little slower, taking in everything that she could, searching for some clue as to who these notes could belong to, but found nothing but information on kidou. More information about Kidou than she would ever need. The notes were meticulous, the script small and hastily scrawled. There were diagrams, and long notes in the margins about all sorts of topics. Above all else, the notes were well-organized. Despite the impeccable organization, Fae was soon overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information, and tucked the book away into a bag to look at later, turning to a simpler book she could get into here. She would look into the notes more when she was alone.

Thanks to the slow response by her own captain to the recent attack on the soul society, Kaida was unable to join the fight in time before other shinigami had managed to defeat both the intruders. Even if they were able to defeat them, it wasn't the point to the younger Akagi sister as she could have been there to help but the fact her own captain was too slow in responding to the threat meant that she was left out. This left Kaida with disdain for the current captain of the 11th division it made them look weak in her eyes, a captain that couldn't react to such a relatively small attack in time was pathetic so she had decided that since things were calming down she would go to the academy to train before challenging for the position of Captain. She would spend the time here learning a variety of different techniques so she would be prepared for the fight she was about to have.
The younger Agaki sister Kaida spent her time in the academy at first by practising and refining the Akagi art variations and her own styles at first, in the same fashion as she had growing up among the Akagi household before transitioning into how she had practised once she joined the 11th division. Once she felt she had practised those movements enough she moved on to learning some kido techniques, an oddity for somebody in the 11th but Kaida knew to neglect that side of fighting would leave herself at a major disadvantage if she ever had to rely on kido in the future.

Kaida now having trained, practised and learned new techniques for a while felt she now ready to go take the position of captain of the 11th division, she quickly left the academy and headed straight there.

The daylight has barely begun to show itself in a royal blue fading to vibrant pink predawn display through the clouds at the horizon. He is an early riser, having already gotten up before the rest of the members of his division. Most of the rest of them had stayed up late on various tasks or reveling in various alcoholic imbibements as a celebration of how well their projects have gone. He had finished up his paperwork and review of his subordinates' work and left his notes on his Vice-Captain and Captain's respective desks. The third seat officer keeps his haori wrapped around his shoulders to shield out the chill of an early spring morning. Soon enough his daily training session would make such warming efforts unnecessary. Ikasu takes a sip from his flask, caring not if people assume that he drinks or not, even at this early hour. Not that people's opinions matter much to him. Though if one were to demand to know what was inside of the flask and request that he prove his sobriety he would happily reveal it to be a special concoction he developed for personal use in the twelfth division. It is one of his many pet projects and is forever undergoing development and adjustments to satisfy one desire or another. It is a blend of essences, juices, chemicals, and herbs. The flavor and fragrance of the day: Sweet Spring Mojito - a combination of peppermint, lime, mojito, and a light splash of rum. So yes, there was some alcohol, but it was barely there and generally watered down by the other ingredients. His flask hanging on his waist, next to the black and silver scabbard of his blade. The scabbard is decorated in ornate patterns of a mighty Hoo-ou and a Kirin flanked by a pair of scrolls and one section where the mon appears to have been altered at some point in haste. He approaches the Kidou training area and smiles when he sees that he has beaten the crowds of students. He did not want to get looped into giving out lessons when he was so rusty at Kidou after all this time. Ikasu has had other priorities since rejoining the ranks of the shinigami. The man sets up his target and rereads the instructions for the Kidou most specific to his division. It only made sense to learn it. "Jellen. Hm. Tell me they didn't have a warped sense of humor when they named it," he mutters softly without any indication of whether he felt it was amusing or bemusing. Honestly, it was kind of funny, but not enough to really do more than quirk a slight smirk for a second and then return to a serious expression. No time to spend on frivolous lines of thought, unless he wished to risk losing his focus and forgetting why he was here in the first place. A deep breath and he aims at his target. It was a convincing dummy, designed to resemble a hollow - if superficially - and react physically to show how effective the attacks directed at it would be and built off of a hybrid of the Experimental Gigai program. This was an upgrade put into the academy by his father prior to becoming a judge. This was a mark of pride for Ikasu to remember, but he pushes that thought aside as well. Taking his mark, Ikasu focuses his spiritual power and aims directly at the false hollow. "Ahi Whakamatiti; wither thy foe's muscles and drain their strength. Bougyoudo #26: Jellen!" The light forms up around his hand and strikes like lightning. It glances the target dummy and it recoils somewhat and suddenly the mechanisms below rolls it over to a different position as if it were evading him. "Ahi Whakamatiti; wither thy foe's muscles and drain their strength. Bougyoudo #26: Jellen!" he cries out again as he aims at it. This time it misses. "Damn," he mutters. "Let's try this again you chunk of mechanical flesh." As he tracks its movements, he builds up his attack and begins the chant with methodical precision this time. "Ahi Whakamatiti; wither thy foe's muscles and drain their strength. Bougyoudo #26: Jellen!" It strikes dead-on this time and causes it to writhe and appear weaker. "That's better. Now, let's inspect the effects up close." He wonders if the school has been properly maintaining these things or if he needs to order a fresh batch to be created and delivered. He pulls aside the costume and inspects the places where his attack had struck. They were suitably damaged for his current power levels, which satisfies him. He frowns as it suddenly lurches even though he had put it in a hold. "Ah, that's why I missed the first time. It moved prematurely." He sets to work to repair the mechanisms and do some unscheduled upgrades. As he does so he hums lightly with amusement with the thought that it will have some new features that the Kidou instructors had not been expecting. "Ufufufu," he titters to himself with amusement. 'This will be most amusing,' he opines.
