Profile.

Name: Adaomros Cruice (a.k.a. Ad'm, Crumorn)
Age: 18
Hair: Dark Red and kinda spiky ((a lot like meh avvy's hair, but darker))
Eyes: Deep Blue
Height: 5'7"
Other physical features: He's not what one would call "extremely handsome", but he's not ugly, either. Has no significant distinguishing marks or features, unless you count his rather long and dexterous fingers.
Wearing: A roughly-made gray shirt and brown pants with lots of pockets. Also wears a light gray hooded cloak when it's wet or cold out.
Carrying: His only weapon is a dagger that he keeps in a sheath on his belt. His pockets are filled with the typical various objects a young man will carry: a bit of string, a few gold pieces, a flint for fire, etc.
Magic: Ad'm uses Air magic, the effects of which range from small whirlwinds and tornadoes, to causing the air around a person or object to "solidify" or "thicken", keeping him/her/it immobile momentarily. ((Note that someone who's really strong or another Air mage could probably overcome this pretty easily....))
Active or Passive: Active
Demeanor: Ad'm is kind and pretty easy to get along with, and he tries to help others when he can. He's also quite protective of Fior.
History: Ad'm's father was a Council member who vocally opposed the AU every chance he got. When Ad'm was just over a year old, his father was caught in a raid organized by Fior's father, the results of which were devastating: both fathers were killed while protecting their ideals. Ad'm's mother, suddenly finding herself alone but for him, tried to instill her husband's strict rules in her son. Growing up in such a traditionalist household took its toll on Ad'm, however, and he began to rebel, sneaking out at all hours, skipping his schooling, and so forth. He soon met Lios and quickly formed a bond of friendship with him and his little sister Fior.
Several years passed, in which his mother became resigned to his frequent absences. One day, however, he was out playing with Fior and Lios, when the older boy disappeared. They didn't think much of it until they heard some scuffling in a nearby building; they peeked in a window and saw Lios being attacked by several masked assailants. As they looked on in horror, one of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed Lios, then they left him to die. By the time Ad'm and Fior could find a way into the building, they were too late for Fior's healing magic to do any good - Lios told them that his attackers were hired by the Council to track down anyone affiliated with the Arcane Underground. After he, *ahem* expired, Ad'm pulled Fior away from the body, telling her that, if the assassins came back and found them there, who knew what would happen.
This was a turning point in Ad'm's life - he began to realize what the comforts that he had always taken for granted truly cost. His mother has taken to kicking him out of the house when he doesn't follow the rules just right; he takes refuge with Fior when that happens. He hasn't officially aligned himself with the AU yet, but he does know several of Fior's rebel friends.

Magic (If applicable): Ad'm uses Air magic, which he invokes through... ((wait for it...)) enchanted rubber balloons. ((Yes, I see the obvious flaw with this now: if the rubber is thick enough to give an accurate toss, it's not gonna break upon impact. I'd take any suggestions anyone has.))

Why don't you make Adaomros an active mage (we need more of them anyway)? He could then solidify the air in his hand and throw hardened air missiles, and he could also maybe use his other air magic by blowing. That's so cute; he raises a hand and blows air toward an opponent, as if blowing a kiss... A KISS OF DEATH! Mwa ha ha ha! *coughs* Yes. Just an idea redface

You make a good point Galaxia except for two things:
1) I think he wants to use balloons.
2) You really ought cut down on the coffee before you post....

Choco; Galexia's suggestion might be a good one if you want active. For possive, however, keep in mind you'd be able to do a lot of different stuff with them, like a baloon that explodes violently or one that explodes into writing in the sky or one that sprinkles hallucenogens on things below. For popping them, you can either make it a magical means, using a simple mental command to pop it or darts of some kind.

Plus it's probably a bit easier. Active, you can do anything relating to wind. Passive, you can do much more varied things as long as you charge an object to do them.

And feel free to keep the dense air idea. It's a prefectly valid wind technique.

Name: Ysian Sintara
Age: 23
Hair: Dark red almost blood like in color, Long about waist length and almost alway is in a high ponytail. Slightly long bangs that curve around her face.
Eyes: Almond shape, slightly slanted in a euro-asian look, green like emerald. Eyebrows are cleanly shaped over her eyes.
Height: 5 feet 6 inches.
Other physical features: She is slim in figure but with well tone muscles indicating that she is no invalid.
Wearing: She wears a dark green sleeveless kimono style top that comes to her waist. It is belted off by a black wide leather strap . Beneath the top is a white tunic with sleeves that bellows out the cuffed at the the wrist. Dark pants leggings and mid-calf high boots with inch high heels.
Carrying: A single midsize bag with a single strap. Around her waist is her sword belt and scabbard. Strapped on her left thigh is a 5 inch dagger sheath with dagger of course. There is another that is sheathed at her boot on her right.
Magic (If applicable): She is an elemental master trained since childhood.
Active or Passive: Active
Demeanor: She is the silent type, speaks when spoken to, says something only when something is needed to be said. With that one, it means she is also blunt. She does not beat around the bush and tells people point blank what others may hesitate to say. She is friendly to a point and sometimes can be colder than ice if you deserve it. She is even tempered but when extremely angry...hell hath no fury. She is a quick learner and sharp in mind.
History: Second born to a family as old as history itself she grew up on an island locate in the direction of the rising sun. At an age where she could speak words she went into training, along with her older brother of 3 years, to learn elemental magic under her father who is also an elemental master. At the age of five she was also put into training the way of the warrior under the grand master. By the age of 17 she had learned much and, the quick study that she is, at 18 attain the statues of Elemental Master. Unsatisfid with what she already knows, against her father's will, she left the island to pursue more knowledge. For the next five years she traveled the world learning and experiencing new things no thought yet of returning home. Now her wandering brought her here to this place, this land, this city she had heard of much from her father and other associates in her travelings. Athalis, Jewel of the World.
Allegiance (AU, council, Unaffiliated): Unaffiliated
Job within group: None, she is new to the city and just arrived.
Other details:
The sword she carries is especially made to work together with her powers. It is a broad sword with a blade the curves inward at mid-section the comes to a point at the tip. The center of the blade engraved in gold are archaic symbols on both sides of the blade. The sword is indestructable save for one weakness. To destroy the sword one must destroy its will.

She also has wrist braces that also comes over the back of her hands. Inlaid on the left is a emerald surrounded by twelve tiny diamonds, above this twelve diamonds are tiny relief of more archiac symbols. The right brace is similar but the diamonds surround a ruby. She also wears a talisment on a necklace. Its a small talisment about the size of a coat botton. This talisment helps to enhance her abilities and the swords.

There is a limit to her usage of her powers that is why whenever she fights she will occasionally call upon it rather than continuously use it. Some elements takes more power than others, thus the reason she was train in weaponry as well. Her main weapon is the sword but any other weapon will do when it is in her hands. Many of the time she will use her powers as reseved energy. Added to this she is also a determine fighter and will only bow out if severly injured and only if.

It still needs limiting, even beyond that. It's far to broad to have that many elements.

I don't know how much broader that can get. She is able to use those elements. Fire is fire, air is air, water is water, earth is earth, and ether is ether, whatever other form there is to those element she is able to control because as I said fire is fire, air is air ect ect. There is a whole level to attaining the statis of element mastery and I base it on the quote on my sig. I could make a separate post on how she became an elemental master included with limitation of her abilities. On how she obtain the ablity to master each of the five element as a whole, and the dangers of exerting to much of herself. If you want me to.

I think what Zely means is, you should only be able to use a single, specific element. For example: my character only can use Air magic, and Galexia's uses Shadow magic. Having Mastery over all of the elements implies that, through combinations of powers, your character would be able to manipulate anything. And, frankly, that's grossly overpowered.
