Mitsuki looked a little taken aback, the coldness she usually kept in her eyes melting away. "Sanzo! You take things so seriously!" She frowned a little and tried to wave her hand to dismiss the subject, but his concern for her brought a faint tint of a blush to her face, and she had to avoid looking directly at him. "Tch, I'm like a little girl with you..."

"That'd be fun. I don't like going places alone much, especially when I din't know the town well." Amaya smirked a little and nudged Kouri. "So what's with that guy who was... you know, looking at you a few seconds ago, hm?" ^^

"What?" Her gaze faultered and she took a step back, surveying him slowly with her eyes before meeting his look. She hadn't realized how what she said could have affected him, and just now did it sink in for her. She rarely saw him show any sort of emotion and she had known him for quite a while. Sometimes it struck her as odd, but she dismissed it by reasoning that he was the principal here and she was a teacher, so at least some professionalism had to be kept in their relationship. And she herself didn't exactly offer her feelings on a silver platter. But the way he just said that, it was like he felt more than the friendly relationship between the two of them. She felt her heart in her throat and selfconsciously ran her fingers through her hair. Oh, what the hell. If you're wrong about this you can always get a transfer to another school, she told herself, half-bitter and half-teasing. Take a damn chance.
That same teasing tone crept to her face in a smirk and followed into her voice. "Calm down. I was just thinking that I can't possibly have lunch this afternoon with a man who takes everything I say so seriously. You know me better than that, I think." She paused to reach over and brush dust that wasn't even there off his shoulder, to have an excuse to touch him and hint that she didn't just view him as the principal of the school she worked at. "I've come to like seeing your face pretty much, and if I miss out on it and your stoic seriousness, I'd be quite upset, Sanzo."

She barely registered what was happening as it went on and was stunned to find herself back in her classroom, and she lost her voice when he confronted her so directly.
"What are you doing?" she demanded, a certain edge to her voice. Why did he scare her, and why did she like it? She pressed her back against the wall, her eyes flickering from his to the floor and back again. When he took his glasses off, the act struck her. In no part of her memory could she ever remember seeing him without them. She watched him silently for a few moments, trying to collect herself.

"I don't know what I feel for you, Sanzo," she said suddenly, her eyes gleaming defiantly. She felt a little intimidated by him, but he was one of the few people who could intimidate her, and it was one of the things about him she couldn't get over. "But I can't stand passing you in the halls or on the street and have this pang in my chest just thinking of you, your voice, the way your eyes look.." She glanced away, feeling like her protection was being stripped away with every word. She felt exposed to him, but even this was comforting. "I don't know what love is, but I know what I feel for you and have felt for so long... its more than some silly crush." She glanced up at him again and looked like she was going to go for the door, but forced herself to stay put. "I'm sorry if this complicates things for you."

Her breath caught in her chest, magnifying the sound of her heartbeat which pounded like a song she hadn't heard before. A slight flash of panic was in her eyes as she felt slightly trapped by him. "I didn't know," she finally said, softly, her mind in a whirlwind of thoughts, fears, and the sensation that even though she was afraid of what could happen, she wanted it so badly it didn't matter. "I never dreamed you'd felt that way. If I did, I would have... said something..." She trailed off, looking at her hands, noticing for the first time they were shaking a little. "I'm just afraid, Sanzo. Everything I am is a facade, an act that keeps me going. I have to protect myself. I don't want to be hurt, and if I evade it all hard enough, I won't have to risk it. But you can't protect yourself from being hurt without preventing happiness. I don't-" She cut herself off as she felt hot tears spring to her eyes and quickly turned away to hide them, cursing feverently. She couldn't remember the last time she allowed someone to see her cry, to see her so weak.

Zasz stands slowly, his black coat flowing behind him as he walks down the bleachers, he sets his things on the last step, his novel he is writing on the top, the words..."Top Secret" written in large black magic marker..he walks along the edge of the pool slowly, examining the water, he goes to the other side of the pool, where he sits on those bleachers and watches things around him...he needed to stop and think for a few minutes on what to write next...

Sanzo was surprised when she returned it and took ahold of his shirt. With a smile he wrapped his other hand around her waist and gave her another. How could I, why would I hurt someone I love so much? He asked sofetly as his emerald eyes dove into the icy blue waters of hers and got lost in them as his hand softly rubbed her cheek. He loved her and not only did he say it, but he just showed her just how much.

Kage caught Kouri looking in his direction and rose to his feet as the bell rang. Class was now starting and the P.E. teacher had already blown his whistle and the students were gathering. As the teacher spoke Kage caugh wind of it all. They were doing races today. A small sigh escaped from Kage's lips as he moved closer to hear the rest.
