"You wouldnt be imposing. I mean Demyx wanted you to visit right? So then that means that he wants you to come." She nodded firmly. It was only imposing if you demanded that you get to go or came on your own

Kaleb blushed a bit more and shook his head. "Y-yeah, but I would feel weird bringing it up, I couldn't do it." He glanced up and gave her a sheepish smile.

"I'm sure Demyx would ask again." She tilted her head. "He dosent give up on things easily so if he really wanted you to visit he'd drag you and all"

Kaleb nodded, fidgeting slightly before glancing over at her with another embarassed look. "I'm sorry, you probably wanted to look through your new books. I just haven't stopped asking questions..."

"Its fun answering questions though. I mean all i usually have to talk to is Father and Dad and my siblings and they already know all this stuff"
Her hands were resting on the book in her lap which she'd almost forgotten.

Kaleb tilted his head a bit, one ear flopping over as he gave her a borderline confused look. "You don't mind answering all my questions? I-I'm usually afraid of being annoying, or just too nervous to ask in the first place, but if you enjoy it I'd feel better." He smiled, glancing down at his fidgeting paws.

"Yea. I dont have alot of people to talk to so its nice to talk to someone." Her smile brightened. "Its good to make friends right? And friends ask friends questions so its fun! Plus if you're going to help me with magic then i will have alot of questions to ask you too"

Kaleb grinned, opening his own textbook to where he had last left off. "I guess it will be a fair trade then. I'm looking forward to studying with you."

"See, it all works out in the end." She flipped the book open to the introduction section and started to read. The rain on the shield made an intresting sound and it was soothing enough to let her read.

Kaleb nodded and then followed her lead, looking down to the textbook in his lap as he glanced over the diagrams and reviewed the critical formulas highlighted on the page. He felt perfectly comfortable reading in the company of a friend, and maintaining the shield over their heads was a simple task that he could likely continue for another couple hours at least.

The introduction basically told her she'd have to have a natural inclination to preform magic for any of it to work. That was good considering she could make thoes portal things but she wasnt sure what kind of magic that was. It could just be that she could do it because her parents did. "So ... if you get abalities from your parents and one of mine is a water mage and the other does ... well weird stuff with dice and cards ... what does that make me?"

Kaleb looked up from his book. "Really it would depend on the heritability of those magical traits, and how much variability could be due to environmental effects rather than genetics."
He immediately blushed, reminded of his tendancy to overexplain concepts. "I-I would say it's likely you have an innate potential for magic, but I would hesitate to draw any other conclusions."

"So ... i can do magic but i'd have to try it out or something to figure out what i can do?" She chewed on her tongue as she though about that.
"Makes sence."

Kaleb nodded happily, relieved she had kind of gotten the point even though he had fumbled the explanation a bit. "Y-yeah, that's what I would believe. Were you concerned about it?" he asked, now looking a bit worried.

"Not really concerned ... but it would be good to know what i can do" After all usually didnt people get in trouble if they started trying stuff without knowing what they could actually do.
