"Oh but Mama, I don't want to take him back. We were having so much fun." Discord whined as she padded along side her mother.
"Discord, you act as if I'll never see you again. I can always come to visit and vice versa. I'm sure my father wouldn't mind, so long as it was fine with Ms. Bella."
Belladonna only smiled as she watches them run ahead of her. She knew they wouldn't go too far, just so that they may prolongue Desero getting home. As she made her way she took notice of Reid with an adult femme. So she called out. "Well hello there lord Reid. How is life treating you?"

Reid her Bella and turned around with a wide smile on his face, "Ah! Miss Bella. It's treating me better and better by the day! Thank you for asking!" He walked forward, motioning for Nebula and Nova to follow him. Looking down he saw Desero and grinned then leaned down to nuzzle him. "There he is! Hey Son! I've got someone I want you to meat..."
Turning to his side he pointed to the adult female, "This is Nebula, my new mate and that is Nova, her daughter." He was just all smiles, not totally sure how to handel the introduction, praying he did an alright job.

Nova's jaw dropped, and she fairly bouncing around Reid's paws in excitement when she was interrupted by another female's voice. Startled, she hid behind one of her mother's front paws and peaked out at the approaching trio. "Who're they?" she whispered conspiritorily, and quite curiously to her mother.
Nebula smiled to see how well Nova had taken to Reid and the idea that her mother had a new mate. Seeing as she'd not even been born yet, she didn't remember a thing about her real father...but the way she was acting now, you'd think Nova was really Reid's true daughter. Nebula was glad, and it lifted her heart to see how things were falling into place so far...but there was still more to come of course. Desero was coming home, and she still had to meet Reid's sister...she hoped things would go smoothly that way as well.
Sighing in nervousness, her ears perked when she heard a lioness approaching with two cubs, one of which she recognized as Desero from his father's description. The other...that had to be his friend Discord whom she'd been told about as well. Silently she smiled at the trio, but waited for Reid to speak up before she said anything.
Once introduced, she stepped forward with Nova still close by and bowed to all three. "It's a pleasure to meet you. Nova..." she urged the tan cub forward to do so as well, just as she'd been taught.

Desero stare at the two females...the one to be his step mother and the other to be his sister. Well...this most definatly was something to return to. "H...hello ma'am...uh...nova. It's a pleasure to meet the two of you. I pray that your journey here with father was well."

Reid shook his head, "OOps.. So sorry, were are my mannors... This little tyke here is Desero, my son. And these two lovely ladies are Belladonna and her daughter Discord. Discord is one of Desero's friends. " Stupid stupid stupid...
But luckily, Desero handeled it well, being the polite gentleman that he truely was. Reid nudged him a little with his paw and bent down and nuzzled him with a confident smile. Though the whole silence was a little bit akward.. "Bella thank you so much for bringing him home. Did everything go well?"

Nova was a bit lost at first as to what to say in return to Desero, though she giggled feeling a bit better that at least she wasn't the only nervous one here. "We had alot of fun, and I can't wait for Holly to see this place. Reid said you could teach me to fish if you wanted to..."
Nebula, satisfied that Nova was going to be okay, took a few steps closer to Reid to nuzzle him, telling him that it was okay and to relax. She kept her silence though, as it was her turn to be nervous and not know what to say. This was not only really her first big meeting of other lions, but also the first time she'd ever had any sort of leadership position since becoming mortal, and wanted others to like her.

Desero nuzzled Reid in return, purring softly. The smile he bore only brightened at the mention of fishing. "It would be an honor to teach you the honor of fishing Nova. In fact it's rather easy once you've gotten the hang of it and have had plenty of practice."
"Oh don't you worry Reid. Everything was just fine. Desero is a well behaved boy and he will forever remain welcome in my cave as well as his sister Nova." Lowering her head, she nuzzled Discord and smiled. "Come now princess. I think it's time we leave so that Desero may spend some time with his family.
"Yes mother. See ya later Desero. Good bye everyone."

Reid smiled and nuzzled Nebula back feeling a new wave of confidence coming from it. "Thank you so much, Bella. It was nice seeing you. I'll see you later!" He watched the two leave before turning back to his new family. Got that? His! New family. Reid. He now had a mate, and a stepdaughter he got along with wonderfully. Finally things were coming together. Purring he licked Nebula's cheek and then looked down at the cubs. "Desero, why don't you go and show Nova where the best fishing hole is? I want to take Nebula on a walk around the pride so she knows the pride boarders as well.."

Nova's smile brightened further at Desero's agreement and Reid's suggestion, her tail twitching in excitement. To Desero she said, "I saw how big the fish are here, what's the biggest fish you ever caught? They're so huge!!"
"Pleasure to make your aquaintance, Bella...come back soon you two!" Nebula called out, echoing Reid's farewell. Drawing even closer, she nuzzled him in return once more, turning to watch the cubs for a moment. Murmuring quietly to him, she said, "Seems that they'll be okay...Nova's been an only child for so long I wondered how she'd take it. She and Holly might be best friends, but she was there when Holly was born and even helped care for all three of Blake and Synda's kids. This is such a different situation...but, seems we have little or nothing to worry about."
Approaching Desero, she leaned down to nuzzle him softly. "Perhaps you can teach her to swim as well...Nova's learned a little, but only in a lake and not a moving river. Perhaps you could teach me as well, when your father and I return, as I never learned to swim." She hoped this would be a good way to break the ice between them so that they could all be close eventually. She knew it most likely wouldn't be immediatly, but still...it might be a start.

"I'm not quite sure how big the fish was Nova. Heh, they all look the same to me." Desero smiled at how excited his new sister was but purred when he received a gentle nuzzle from Nebula. "I'll do my best to aid her in getting better with swimming. Oh and teaching you would be an honor. Heh, it makes me feel like a super kit." Desero chuckled and nuzzled Nova before trotting off.
"Come on. We'll start out with the big fish. Their slower than the smaller one's so, they'll be a bit easier to catch. Once you get better with that, we'll move on to the smaller and faster fish. Your progress will determine how fast we move to your swimming lessons."

Reid grinned, he knew he loved Desero for a reason. The kitten was so accepting and open. It really was a blessing on four legs with a tail. He watched the two go off towards the river and then he looked back at Nebula. "Oh completly, no worries about the two of them. And the river's nice and low since it hasn't been terribly rainy." Everything was coming together, he was so happy he licked her cheek and then started walking off towards the pride boarders with her at his side.
"Though.. There is one thing that does worry me. I am the only adult male of the pride... If anything happens, we don't have the best defenses... So in a couple of days after things settle down I'm going to go recruiting."

"You should perhaps introduce me to your sister, though before hand...I'd be afraid she'd think I was sneaking in to get at Desero or something like that," Nebula laughed lightly, her pace easily keeping up with his. I'd hate to have to fight her without her knowing the truth from you first. I don't now if anyone would believe me if I just came up and introduced myself as your mate out of the blue..." She giggled, knowing it would be a bit hard to swallow especially if you knew how much Reid had struggled with females for so long only to have one show up and claim to be Queen.
You don't know?! Wow...I bet it was huge! All the fish I've seen are small..." Nova sat down to measure out how small the fish were in the pond at the oasis with her front paws. "Blake told me the pond will filled by an underground river, though I dunno how fish would like the darkness...probably why nothing big ever came through..." By this time, they'd reached the water's edge and she knelt over the water, her butt and tailfeathers in the air to look into the water. One fish, just then, jumped out and nearly "kissed" her right on the lips and startled her into losing her balance and falling over into the water with a big splash. Thankfully, with the water being low, she found no trouble finding her footing again and surfacing as she laughed. "That was fun!"

Desero only smiled while watching her. She most certainly was inquistive and so carefree. But did she have the dicipline it took to fish? Only one way to find out. Slowly he entered the water, so not to splash it around and came to a stop once he was at Nova's side. "Blake spoke the truth you know, about the pond being filled by an underground river. However fish do not travel underground which leaves the question of how the fish got here in the first place. That is a simple question to answer." Desero smiled at her then proceeded to continue with his explanation.
"At some point in time, the ponds you've come across where apart of a great river. Yet as the lands grew older, the waters receaded, much of it going underground. The water that remained, continued to house the fish you see today and many of the generations before them."

Reid smiled briefly before thinking about his sister. "You know, I actually havn't seen her around in a while. From what I gather she's got some male companion that she has yet to bring around here. She is quite protective of her nephew, it would be a good idea for me to introduce you two..."
"Mh, speaking of family. I have however invited my prother, Sashiko and his mate to come and join our pride once they finish their little journey they're going to embark on. I'm not quite sure if his mate will go for it though, even if she is pregnant.." Stopping for a second he thought about his potential neices and nephews running around the Pride Lands pridelessly with only two adults to protect them and watch after them. It made him visably shudder. Not that their parents weren't abel, the risks were just too high.

Nebula nodded in deep in thought as she contemplated everything she'd just told him. She wasn't nervous about meeting them as she was about what they might think of her. Honestly this had to be the biggest family she'd ever met, and she hoped she and her daughter would be accepted by them all. Not that she planned on running away, or ditching Reid if they didn't, but it'd sure make life more bearable...oh well, she'd handle it when it came to that, but probably best not to worry about till she had to cross that bridge, right? "Seems we'll be having alot of company soon...how big IS your family, Reid?", she asked out of curiosity.
Nova watched out Desero got into the water, and made a mental note that if she was going to be successful at this fishing bit, she'd better pay close attention to everything he did. "Cool! Mama explained to me how the planet came to be, and how the galaxies are formed, but we'd never actually discussed how everything was formed on an individual planet, honestly."
