Indeed! No, we should make them elf hobbits ^^ We'll point their ears when they're born like Natalie's! And with Nat's silver hair *strokes non existent goatie (no clue if that's the right spelling)* they are bound to be elf/hobbit hybrids! *shoves Nat and Karel into a closet together and locks the door* *maniacal laughter ensues along with Ivy's*

Natalie: Don't be afraid, there's nothing that's going to hurt you.
Me: Damn, this is going to take awhile I can see.

((And now I am going to bed, because I'm tired, and I've been up entirely too long today. *waves* I'll respond to your post in the morning Pyro))

Lol! All these languages coming out all of a sudden in the RP. I live in Vienna, so I understand German pretty well. Maybe I should jump on the bandwagon and make Adrian start spouting Italian or French insults when he gets mad, LOL. xd

I would except, I'm not quite sure what language people in Romania speak o_o I know, I'm an awful person, not knowing what language my character speaks, but I can't remember what language it is >.< And the only language I know too much of is Japanese which is useless in Amsterdam.

It's nice to see how multicultural everyone is biggrin ! I know a little german since my mom is, very little japanese that i've picked up here and there from watching tons of anime and I should know french... because they force us to take it throughout grade school, but, it never stuck. Which is sad because my dad's french so i feel an obligation to know it. redface

For Romania they speak Romanian, Hungarian and German. o_o; yeah, I think thats right. Well, those are the three main languages there. Most people probably just speak Romanian sweatdrop

And it's going to be hard to dig up a program with Romanian *growns* She could curse in German or something, I know a little bit of German, not really enough though o,o The only other thing I could think of is if she's a LOTR fanatic she might know the elven language, since they have books out on how to speak it and such. *shrugs*

My best friend is half Romanian. They speak Hebrew there too, and if I'm not mistaken, I think Hebrew and Romanian are actually related? Not quite sure.

I do know that Dutch and German are very closely related though. Dutch sounds like a really babyish, weird form of German. The Austrians here always make fun of Dutch. sweatdrop

Poor little Dutch boy. The really sad thing is that I'm part Dutch, and part German, and though closely related I can speak neither. Oh no, I can't speak any of my native languages but I can translate lots of Japanese >.< There is something wrong with me...oh, I take that back, I know a bit of German but that's only due to my friend Cassie, who's French....go figure.

Other than English... the only other language I know fluently is Italian. I can understand and read it perfectly but when it comes to speaking and writing... I'm not so great xd I was pretty much raised by my Italian aunt and grandmother on my moms side, so I picked it up from them.

I know a fair bit of German and Japanese as well just from watching a lot of foreign films and anime. Playing a good chunk of characters with these ethnic backgrounds comes into play too.

And like Ex-Turk, I should know french too because they cram it down our throats since kindergarten till grade 9. Of course, it doesn't stick sweatdrop ! I also should know Greek, since thats my dad's ethnicity. But I never really spent much time with that side of the family.

I've noticed that a lot of Dutch words are almost a cross between English and German. And they have a lot of interesting sayings heart whee

I'm half Irish and half Italian, but I know neither gaelic nor italian fluently. My great grandmother frequently starts cussing and spitting acid at me (She's 90 years old with dementia O_o ) so I never know what she's saying...which may be for the best.

But I plan to learn the two languages eventually...it's just less convient not to.

Like... gag me with a spoon...

heart heart An old slang expression from the 80's and early 90's!! lol that's awesome! You never told me you knew retro slang, Barentine!

Oh and for anyone who might be having a tough time with Eliza's last name... it's pronounced "Yeager" lol i dont know if that helps, but it was the best way i could phonetic it. If I really want to butcher it I suppose it's... "yay" + "grr" sweatdrop

ANOTHER ITALIAN!!! O_O heart xd HAve you ever seen Utena in Italian? I own the Italian dub of the whole series except the last tape, and that's how I've seen pretty much all of the episodes. It's so much better than any American dub I've ever heard. Juri's voice is soooo sexy in Italian. heart Her italian voice actress also dubs almost all of Uma Thurman's roles in Italian.
